Fruktøl skal være surt. Ordentlig surt.

4.0 0,33l bottle from Damian Bottle Shop, Bratislava, Pours opaque dark ruby red liquid, small creamy to fizzy pink head, Aroma: ripe cherries, sour wild notes, wooden notes, Taste: light to medium sweet, light bitter, medium to heavy sour, ripe cheries, cherrywood, slightly malty, sour wild notes, slightly grassy, Palate: light to medium body, soft carbonation, thick mothfeel, long sour cherry aftertaste, Oveall: very good, enjoyed very well. Could be litle bit more complex.
3.6 Not so much excited about it. No sweetnes, it is like sour lambic. I expected more sweety kriek character. Aftertaste is long and is like liquior, long feel in mouth. But nothing more than just a lambic. But it is called Fruit Beer, so this must be different! More aroma!!! Taken with ice-cream, good match, to complete the sweetness in the mouthfeel. Decent, but nothing more. You cannot feel the alco, it is balanced.
3.1 This beer came as a disappointment. Medicinal aroma. Taste is medicinal sweet and sour mess. I really don't get the good ratings... Very artificial tasting.
3.6 Poured at Shelton Festival, cloudy ruby with pinkish white head. The aroma is funk, oak, cherry skin. Medium body, wood, cherry, light tartness, very good.
4.0 Bottle 50 cl. Pours a beautiful burgundy red with a small, pinkish head. Dark, lightly tart cherry aroma. Medium body, super dry, cherry notes now become even more dominant and very clean and distinct. Mouthdryingly dry - almost astringent. One of the best cherry beers I've ever had. 271217
4.0 Lambic more tart

3.1 Draught at All In Beer Fest 2017, Friday session. Clear deep dark red color, pink head. Cherry pips scent, also oak. Cherries, acidic taste. Butter, acidic aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low to no bitterness. 6/4/6/3/12=3.1
3.6 Tap. Pours red with pink head. Aroma of cherries, cream soda. Lightly tart, funky, barnyard.
3.8 Bottle sample at a tasting at Max' place. Thanks zvikar. Red-dark-pink. Marzipan, cherry, some cinnamon bubblegum aroma. Acidic and sour, cherry, cheesecake, some cardamom and cinnamon taste. Full body, sour, cherry finish.
3.8 Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Cloudy deep red. Big cherries, a bit of marzipan, caramel, cherry pits, sour, juicy, jammy, medium-bodied. Really good, delicious.

3.8 Bottle. Cloudy crimson colour. Tall pink head. Sour cherry on nose. Light to medium body. Sour and tart on tongue. Nice cherry. Simple but so tasty!
4.1 Super purple coloured body with a nice, three to four centimetre tall pink head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of cherries, tart grapes, light malt, some oak and dry hay and a lot more tart cherries - very nice nose indeed. Light to Medium-bodied; Super cherry flavour up front with a tart bite along with some sour grapes and a hint of blueberries along with a good oaky quality and a dose of sour brett flavours and a funky yeast bite near the end. Aftertaste shows mostly of the dry oak along with the super tart cherries, but also some other fruits remain along with a dose of more sweet fruit notes including plums and apricots. Overall, a very nice beer as expected and despite the high price and hard-to-find nature, a good option to have, but probably not worth so much trouble - unless you live on THIS side of the world. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from [not the USA] Jason’s Market Place at Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan on 24-July-2017 for NT$250 sampled in my hotel room here in central Taipei, Taiwan on 27-July-2017. It was a very nice beer to have over here, and it was great to find, and better to not have to lug around and bring back home!
3.7 Aroma: Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, cherries and tart. Appearance: Opaque dark red/purple beer with a slight/medium pink head. Taste/Palate: Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel and cherries; ends slightly dry and sour with tart. Overall: This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Lovely sweet cherry flavour at the start, with a decent tart finish. Perfect appearance and a great palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.
3.5 Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Cloudy burgundy colour, small pink head. Tart woody cherry aroma. Tart with some underlying sweetness, medium bodied with rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Rich, deep and pleasant sour cherry flavour. Low bitterness.
3.7 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. 2014 vintage. Bardzo cierpkie, wiśniowe, lekko octowe. Smaczne.
2.9 Dark red, pink froth. Sour cherry aroma, faint notes of butter. Similar flavour, slightly tart. Dry with fluffy mouthfeel. Finishes with buttery notes every other sip, but I can’t decide if it’s really that bad.
3.5 Bottle 500ml. Pours deep purple with low pink head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of fruits, plastic/ruber, artificial cranberry juice. Taste is of fruits, acidity. Palate: Medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Kewl.
3.5 Pours a clear burgundy with a thin pink head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of cherries, rubber, burnt wood and Play Doh (TM). Taste is pretty dry and moderately acidic with more of the distinct Play Doh (TM) impressions. More winey cherries. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Pretty cool but I think this bottle might have been running a bit too old.
3.6 pours almost clear super bright red with a small reviving pink head offering some retention and lacing. tart wooden spicy cherries, sharp medium citric acidity, red grapes, fruity red grapes, cranberries, foreign bush berries, herbs, spicy wood, pepper. moderate carbonation, light body, tart if not sour spicy-herbal finish. not quite a kriek (of course), but a nice cherry sour ale interpretation.
3.8 Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrowvale Road, Sheffield. Clear, deep pink. Ring of pink head. Nose has Cherry Lips sweets. Cherry stone. Raspberry. Ground almonds. Bakewell tart in a glass. Taste is cherry sweet, and juicy, tangy and tartly acidic. Cleansing and light on the palate. Easy drinking for the ABV. Lightly tart finish. Nice one.
3.8 Bottle. Pours a clear deep purple beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma of cherries, red fruits, some oak in there, touch of Brett. Flavor is very tart, lots of sour red fruits, very, very dry mouthfeel and very intense in the flavours. Well balanced, very strong and nice one overall. The carbonation is mild, aftertaste is long and tart. Nice.
4.0 18-FEB-2017, bottle @home, from Boxbeers. Hazy, dark red with a lasting, lacing, pink head. Aroma is strawberry, cherry, funk, red wine. Taste the same. Tart, sweet, long cherry finish. Nice.
3.6 From tap at Taphouse. Dark reddish colour with a small red head. Aroma and flavour of cherries, spice, fruit, yeast and tartness.
3.4 Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Dark red purple pour with pinkish head. Aroma and taste is tart cherry fruity, cherry stone, medium acidic and carbonation, tart cherry finish.
3.7 From tap. Pours a deep hazy red color with a beautiful pink head that stays for a long time. I must say the appearance is outstanding. Aroma is very typical kriek, sour cherries and some mild grain and a bit of marzipan. Taste is quite sour, a little less cherry flavor than I prefer, but a damn solid fruit beer.
3.6 Aroma: cherry, pip, some grain Taste: medium sour, cherry juice, pip, grain
3.2 Parallel rating of 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages Deep red body with a pink, long-lived head that laces the glass well. Strong aroma of cherries and caramel in all three editions. The 2015 vintage also has a touch of perfume, it’s light floral and somewhat grassy, bordering on hoppy. In the 2016 vintage, on the other hand, the cherries are almost completely drowned in diacetyl. Strong flavour that follows the aroma. The 2015 vintage has a moderate to light acidic taste, while the 2014 vintage is considerably more acidic. The 2016 vintage is close to the acidity level of the 2015. All three are light and dry on the palate. I’m not sure if I like 2014 or 2015 best: 2014 has a lovely acidity that really bites, while the flavour of the 2015 is more complex. I end up with 3.2 for both 2014 and 2015, while the drain-pour bottled in 2016 gets a 1.9. [samples from 50 cl bottles shared with Doblougløkkas ølsmakerforsamling]
3.9 Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours hazy dark pinkish red. Aroma of strong sour cherries, yet slightly tainted, stone fruit. Body is medium, fruity, sour and tart. Not so distinguished though. Still, very nice as a Kriek-style beer without being a kriek.
