3.6 Light brown weak head. Dark brown almost read colour. Aroma is malty with coffe, dried fruits and light chocolate notes. Flavor is malty too with dried fruits, delicate raisins and chocolate tones, ending in a balnced slightly roasty and chocolatey finish. Medium bodied.
4.0 Black, unclear, lasting foam. Beetroot, iron, dried fruits, prunes. Symphony of black berries, christmas cake, tobacco and leather. Do not serve cold!
4.3 Bottle@Royal Gastropub, Oslo. Pours opaque black with large light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, espresso, burnt out campfire, vanilla and coconut. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light salty. Body is milky with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted coconut, salty liquorice and hints of vanilla.
Fijne afdronk.
5.0 Very balanced and elegant beer. Wonderful combination between dry fruits, coffee, chocolate, malt and hops. Full body, medium bitterness and long aftertaste
4.0 A very nice basic porter. Sweet coffee and chocolate notes are balanced nicely with bitter dark roasted malt. Packs more flavour than what one would expect for 7%!
4.3 Big head, pitch black color. Aroma is licorice, roast, coffee, malt, peat. Taste is oak, whiskey-like peat, chocolate, medium bitter. Very smooth mouthfeel, maybe a bit too much carbonation (still soft and pleasant). Just right sweetness. At first might seem like just a good porter, but the flavour opens with every sip.
3.8 Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, roastyness, chocolate, light coffee, medium bitter, light sourness notes. Medium to full body, malty bitter finish with solid coffee notes. Good.
4.1 Bouteille 33 cl ramenée de l'aéroport de Bergen. Robe noire avec mousse beige assez résistante. Grosses bulles.
Aromat czekolady, pralinek, trochę karmelu, rodzynek i miodu. W smaku całkiem inne, goryczka od słodow palonych, kawa. Chyba bardziej stout niż porter
3.5 Bottle. Deep brown color with a thin head. Aroma of oak, licorice and peat. Sweet taste with some bitterness. Medium body.
3.8 A very dark beer. Taste of chocolate. Sweet, but not too seet. Will recommend this beer!
3.9 Bouteille 33 cl.
3.7 Kawa i sporo czekolady deserowej. Nisko nagazowane. Słodkie i kremowe w ustach.
Retrogusto amarognolo molto piacevole. Ottima birra.
3.8 Deep brown to black. Opaque. Large beige frothy head. Aroma: dark malts, roasted barley, coffee, chocolate. New World hop. Medium plus body. Taste: dry enough, roasted, hoppy. Chocolate and coffee, again. Medium plus bitterness. Good old school American porter.
4.1 Aroma røsted malt kaffe karamell sjokolade. Utseende Sort middag beige skum. Smak karamell sjokolade kaffe røsted malt. Middels fylde kraftig. Flaske smakt Desember 2013, 50cl 7%
3.7 Dark pour. Roasted malts, coffee and a hint of chocolate. Medium carbo. Nice decent porter
4.6 One of my favorite Porter. Just a perfection. Nothing is missing, nothing is too much. Aroma is of more like American Porter, the taste is great - some chocolate, dried fruits, roasted barley. At the end - another one please
4.0 Jay black porter with small white head. Smells like toast and slight berry after notes. Tastes of rosted malts, dark bitter chocolate and a slight coffee note. Interesting beer!
4.0 From a 50cl bottle. Pours a clear dark cola with a thick, but quickly receding tan head. Aromas are chocolate and coffee. Flavors are bitter roast. Smooth and delicious.
4.4 Everything about this porter seems exactly right. The deep brown color that extends to the rocky head, the sweet, malty, slightly fruity nose, and the delectable honey-on-toast initial flavor followed by an earthy, but slightly floral aftertaste. I found this beer at a liquor store in New York, and have been unable to get it in Oklahoma or Texas. I'm willing to drive 1200 miles though just to stock up on it. Maybe my favorite porter.
3.8 Flasa z Damiana. Vyrazna mierne kyslasta kavova vona. Kavova farba a pena ostava. Chut vyrazna kavova mierne kyslasta silna. Na konci ostava.
3.4 Porter classique.
3.8 Bottle at home, from airport Kjevik. Dark brown, tan head. Coffee, nuts, dark toast. Light bitter, slightly oily, satisfying. Excellent stuff
3.9 Flaska @ Kaffeforretning Sarpen, Sarpsborg.
