3.6 Fra flaske. Sort med beige skum. Aroma af brændt kaffe, mørk malt, let røg. Smager bitter af kaffe og malt. Medium krop, føles lidt tynd i munden.
3.0 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass. Due date: 19/12/2021. Aroma: almost not noticeable and very weak aromas of roasted malts, vanilla, alcohol sweetness. Appearance: very dark brown color, almost black. Brown foam made of tiny bubbles. Very low head thickness with low retention. Very low lacing. Too dark to talk about haziness. Taste: low sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Quite intense flavors of toasted and roasted malts, black chocolate, licorice, roasted coffee. Quite well balanced. Some acidity from rye and dark malts is quite noticeable. Palate: medium body, oily to creamy texture, low carbonation, quite long dry finish with low to medium bitterness, low acidity and the same previously mentioned flavors. Alcohol is noticeable through its sweetness and mouth and throat warming. No astringency. Overall: very low intense aromas but powerful flavors of toasted and roasted malts, black coffee, black chocolate, licorice. Some acidity from the black malts and the rye. Alcohol is maybe too much noticeable. It would be better with less alcohol and less acidity.
3.8 Bottle from Alko. Dark brown with small medium tan head. Chocolate, black licorice, coffee, cream. Char, rye. Smooth and oily. Very nice.

3.6 Bottle sampled at Den Haag bottle share at Brody’s. Very dark reddish brown with dark beige head. Sweet rye, soft roast, apple, caramel, dark chocolate, light blackberries, light spices and red wine. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Over medium bodied.

S: Zoet. Wat braambessen, chicorei en licht geroosterd. Wat alcoholisch. Lichte nabitterheid. M: Redelijk volmondig met medium carbonatie.
4.1 50cl fles. 30 IBU. Zwart bier met licht bruin schuim. Geur: hoppig, stofferig, hooi, een weinig geroosterde mout. Smaak: redelijk zoet, wat fruitig, braambes, wat bitterheid, ietwat alcoholisch. Romig, zacht mondgevoel. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitterzoet. Lekker en zacht.
3.7 0.33l bottle shared in Damian during tasting.Black color with medium tan head. Aroma: chocolate, salted caramel, marshmallow. Taste: chocolate, oak, candied cocoa beans. Very good, only I was not able to find a rye in smell nor taste.
3.3 btl. 50cl bb 28.7.19. 30 IBU, 22°P. Aromat: czekolada, marcepan, utlenienie. Smak: miód gryczany, czekolada mleczna, może trochę farba. Cierpki alkohol na języku.
3.4 Some cherries and pumpernickel in the aroma. Quite smooth taste with some roastiness and honey. Alcohol felt in the throat
3.4 500ml bottle. Deep black body. Thick, sweet, heavy. Deep rye tones. Heavy specialty malts all the way. Full bodied, rich stuff. Nothing really stands out that spectacularly flavorwise, and the body is too thick to be enjoyable. Overboard specialty malt. Too sweet.
3.8 Man, what a tasty collaboration porter. Chocolate, coffee, cherry, anise, caramel, and berry all shine on the front end, while the finish grows dry and moderately bitter, with the slightest bit of char and booze accenting the fade. Never quite reaches the depth of flavor you’re wanting, but comes damn close. Somebody barrel-age this thing.
4.5 Fuck me, this beer drank like one of the purest dark beer representations I've ever tried. Black viscous body. Deep, hearty, warm, spicy, dry, and malty body. Booze warmth is perceptible but booze taste wasn't palatable. This was grainy, full-bodied stuff, yet it was incredibly smooth. Creamy dark chocolate made the clearest impression, yet there were subtle notes of peppery grass and dark fruit. This is a Porter that sticks to your palate and probably leaves a dark residue on your bones. Apparently, when Scandinavia and the American South come together, the result is beauty.
4.5 (nez riz-au-lait > cara, choco-vanille, bouche onctuo-liquoreuse (rye ad), ~gillé-aigre, ~fruit noir, cara gras, fine)
3.9 Bottle. A- Tootsie roll, chocolate, cake, mild spice. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Char, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- A bit more traditional feeling without a ton of frills. Almost felt more like a stout to me. The rye was there but only subtle. Lots of variations on chocolate flavor.

5.0 Black in the glass. Nice coffee coloured creamy head. Coffee and aniseed aroma and big bold taste. An outstanding Porter.
4.9 Pours with a light, coffee colored head. Color is black. Aroma is fruity and malty, some licorice, aniseed, ammonia, tobacco. Palate is really nice, perfectly balanced and smooth, very smooth. Taste is similar to the aroma: ammonia, dark malt, aniseed, some lemon. Some grass in after taste. Slightly dry, smooth finish. A tasty, fresh and rich combination.
3.9 A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light resinous floral hops, light licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle at L'autre oeil.
3.9 Barwa nieprzejrzyscie czarna z brunatna gesta pianka. W aromacie praliny, kawa i sos sojowy, troche likier Bailays i tymianku. W smaku polslodko, czekolada deserowa i lekka kwasowosc kawy, poza tym troche melasy.Przyjemna kawa arabica na finiszu, posmak dobrego espresso. Alkohol niezle ukryty, wysycenie niskie, cialo pelne ale piwo pijalne. Bardzo przyzwoity porter.
3.9 W aromacie czekolada, praliny, likier kawowy, sos sojowy. W smaku półsłodkie, lekko kwaśna kawa, delikatna goryczka. W posmaku kakao, kawa z mlekiem, lekko kwaśne. Wysycenie niskie, alkohol dobrze ukryty, treściwe, ciało jest, całkiem pijalne.
4.3 500ml bottle. Pours about as brown as a beer can be before you have to describe it as "black", with a thin tan head. Smells amazing, milk chocolate, molasses, lots of dark dried fruits, very light vanilla, dark coffee, some definite booziness (dark rum), and a very light hit of ash. Full bodied, and not nearly as sweet as I would expect. Very malt forward, with molasses, an underlying hint of anise (basically, yeah, there's a lot of licorice going on), a very faint note of almost Islay-like peat smoke, and some almost bran flake-like cereal notes that leads into dried fruit, anise, a taste that makes me think of grain dust when it's being harvested, with espresso, light citrus peel, and a lingering taste of malt in the very long finish. Wowsers, this is some glorious stuff. It's like the beer version of a delicious pumpernickel molasses loaf.
3.9 Deep black pour with a hige dark brown head. The nose is really big and intense. Cocoa and molasses with a bit of vanilla. Big brash beer. Rich and sticky with a nice bitter/spicy finish.
4.0 Potent aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malts, black bread and ash. Taste is full of rye toast, sweet chocolate, dried plums and moderate roastiness. No alcohol heat, nice body and a bit of ash in the aftertaste. Great effort.
4.2 Extremely dark pour with a thin layer of a head. Big aromas. Strong fresh brewed coffee, dark chocolate, the rye taking up a prominent spot here. Very well in balance. Taste is in line with the aroma with the perfect amount of bitters and the acidity of the coffee beans. It's like a dark cocoa chocolate bar. Very slick and creamy body with low carbonation. Can't wait for Christmas to come and have myself another one!!!
Duo Nogne O/ Terapin gagnant.
