[ my bottle is 12%, and brewed at "Companyia Cervesera del Montseny"; probably brewed in May 2013; is this the same beer? to be verified... Alex ]
[Teddybeer: firstly this beer was brewed at La Microcerveseria Or i Plata. Both of them are the same beer]

4.0Tomada en mi casa, pedida hace tiempo con Angel77.
Aromas a cafe cocholate.
Densa, cremosa.
Cuerpo medio.
3.8330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 12%. Pitch black colour, moderate brown head. Aroma of oak, alcohol and roast malts - hints of peated whisky, but not as strong as I feared. Also hints of vanilla, liquorice, caramel and brown sugar. Tarry flavour, not as sweet as expected, medium dry actually. Moderate notes of peat and unsweetened liquorice, also iodine, salt and strong coffee. Some hops in the finish.
3.5At a tasting, thanks, small stable light brown espresso head, opaque black color, flavor plums and prunes, dark chocolate, toasted bread and cocoa, flavor of cocoa, dark chocolate and earthy notes, medium bitterness, quite sweet. Nice.
3.7bottle:pours a deep dark chocolate brown with a thin tan, brown head with no lacing..........aroma has lots of dried fruit(raisins and prunes) kind of like a well-brandied plum pud, with roasty and coffee notes, a little maltiness......a sweetness reminiscent of molasses maltiness, coffee taste .........slick and oily with a bitterness and alcohol warmth towards the end, soft carbonation.....a keeper, a great companion for the fireside on a cold winters night
3.7Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks zvikar. Black with a tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate, coffee, liqueur, some peated whiskey, wood, dried fruits. Sweet flavor with chocolate, some coffee, roast, some peated whiskey. Full-bodied. Very good.
4.5Rating #1280. 10.11.2014 - Bottle from CBI Archives. Black as an Englishman’s heart, with a weak bubbly tan foam. Aroma is heavy roast malt, burnt sugar, currant, raisin, smoke. Taste is mild bitterness, medium-heavy alcohol character, lots of currant and smokiness on the palate in the finish. Unreal.
3.8Sample from a 12oz bottle. Num.de lote: 08/05/2015. Thanks to b3shine for sharing. Very dark brown color. Thin khaki head. Dots and bits of lace. Some dark chocolate, cocoa, touch of coffee, some vegetal to the aroma. Medium to bigger body. Definitely some chewiness to it. Mild dry. Some dark fruit. Moderate to bigger bitter. Some bigger sweet. Like bakers chocolate, that kind of bittersweet, here. Interesting stuff. Very baker’s-chocolate-like. Tasty... Really good actually. Nice chocolate imperial stout.
3.4Bottle to snifter (shared with the Cincy crew; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; a slightly translucent amberish brown cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; dark malt, chocolate, oak, and s touch of peat from the barrel. Tastes much more metallic than it smells with a medium full-bodied mouthfeel. Solid, but smells significantly better than it tastes.
4.011.2 oz bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, wood, char, the lagavulin barrel is noticeable but not overpowering which is nice, earth, some roasted bitterness to the finish, solid.
3.9Bottle. Black with no head. Chocolate and coffee flavours merge together with a subtle presence of alcohol. Surprised the alcohol presence wasn’t more obvious considering its strength. Amusing label and an interesting beer.
4.1330 ml Bottle. Jet black pour with a thin dark tan head. Nice is roasted malt, dark chocolate, smoke, boozy. Malty sweet taste, chocolate, some peatiness. Body is super heavy, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Great stout to sit back with and sip on for dessert. And who could ignore that label.
3.9Bottle. Pitch black, beige head, very oily in texture. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, peat, booze, very complex. In taste roasty, sweet with coffee, licorice. In taste alcohol is bit too harsh. Full body, thick, very oily on the palate. Exept unpleasant alcohol it is great stout.
Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, lett bitter mørk sjokolade og kaffe. Salt medium lang ettersmak.
3.9330 ml bottle. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of coconuts, roasted malts and espresso. Flavors carry same with light whiskey and oaky notes. Quite nice.
4.2Kolor nieprzejrzysty czarny, smo?a.
Piana br?zowa, niewielka i krótkotrwa?a.
Idealne do wolnego s?czenia. Musicie spróbowa?.
4.0Thick deep brown, big aroma of vanilla, fudge, and oak. Chocolatey and sweet with a light smoke and booze heat. Great sipping beer
4.1Bottle, cute label. Pours thick pitch black with small brown head, short lasting head, frosting surface. Aroma is oxidation, caky, rich chocolate, fudge, dark malts, subtle smoke and peat, booze, dark fruits. Some savory notes. Taste is medium sweet, fudge, caky, almonds, dried fruits, chocolate, slight savory. Low carbonation and oily mouthfeel, peat. Smoky dry finish. Long lasting islay smoke. Really well incorporated balanced warming alcohol. Good stuff!
3.9Black colour with dark brond head. Aroma: chocolate, roasty, caramel, coffee, Taste: medium sweetness, lightly bitter, chocolate, coffee Palate: medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish, alcoholic note is present but discrectly. Good imperial stout.
3.7Almost mauve-tinted dark brown beer under a dark rust-brown rim. Deep chocolate nose, chocolate liqueur, hints at spirit (not necessarily Islay - brandy or Bourbon spring to mind). Tarred wood, all the same. Chocolate and smoked, tarred wood, phenolic. I link the suggested chocolate sweetness to the moscovado. Very rich, warming, slick to viscous, low carbonation. Good, if not exceptional. True, I lagered it maybe five days...
3.9Pours dark, mocha color, just a bit of beige foam. Aroma of soft raw chocolate, green apple. Taste is vinous, soft toffee, coffee and cocoa character. Nice and not too heavy, body feels exceptionally light for 12% abv. Very enjoyable.
4.0Pitch black color. Dark brown color. Big iodine, dark chocolate, dark fruit color, with peat. Big heavy mouth, with iodine, with dark chocolatey character. Fairly light for 12%.
3.8dense moccha head leaves structured lacing. coffee coloured. aroma is slight smokey, bit vegetal, some coconut, roasted malts. taste is light smokey, bitter chocolate, unripe banana, peaty, some coconut, some sweetness taste is bit bitter from the roasted malts. dense body, medium carbonation. very well balanced. bottle 33cl / bbf may-2015
4.0330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Deep black colour, with a thick tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and smokey peaty whisky. Taste starts sweet, with a decent bitterness, and a touch of sake too.
3.9330ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with dark beige head. Roasted malty aroma, some soy sauce in the beginning when is cold, coffee, chocolate and dark fruits later, some wood and alcohol. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma. Medium to full oily body with soft carbonation.
3.5Complete black color with a solid beige head. Ok lacing. Smooth mellow chocolate, oak and fruity aroma. Full body. A bit sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Powerful flavor. Really berry fruity after a while. Lots of chocolate, oak and mild licorice. Very well hidden alcohol.
[Bottle at Olympen in Oslo, Norway]
4.0Bouteille 33cl.
3.0Pretty smoked and burnt raisin aroma with liquor notes. Brownish medium head not very persistent. In mouth it adds ashes and burnt chocolate, caramel and raisin, providing dry and salty notes together with some acidity presence. Not very enjoyable complexity because of excessive presence of burnt flavours to my preferences.
Oleiste, wyczuwalna szlachetność alkoholu, porównać można do whisky. Do tego mocne nuty czekoladowe. Wysycenie niskie. Bardzo ciekawe piwo, do powolnej degustacji!
4.5Bottle, 0.33l. Murky almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and many body particles floating. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, oatmeal, coffee and liquorice. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and sweet chocolate, follows by liquorice and woody note with warming alcoholic mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Couldn’t have aged it for 5 years, I think 5 weeks is a success story...
4.8Blended with the peaty smoky beast that is Lagavulin Whisky from Islay.
This is a really, really good stout, buy it and try if you see it.
Pours proper black with a nice stouty head.
The smell is chocolate and vanilla and no real hint of the whisky...yet.
Mouthfeel is creamy and not overpowering (DL I´m looking at you).
The taste is perfect to me, the smells come through and it all fits, nothing overdone.
The aftertaste of the whisky sneaks into your mouth after the beer goes down.
A small disclaimer here, I´m a big fan of Lagavulin but I was ready to slate this beer if they didn´t live up to such an illustrious name. They did though, so I recommend you try this if you can.
Almost a perfect beer.
