3.8 Pours a peachy color with almost no head, has a slight hop and citrus aroma mixed with the Belgian yeast. Different tasting but very good. Had it at Old Ivy Brewing in Vancouver WA.
3.4 On tap at the “Handle Bar” Boise. Hazy deep golden with a huge off white head. Pretty mild and faint Frech farmhouse yeast character. Dry light pale malts and just a touch of spicy bitteringbhops at the end.
3.5 Bottle. Color: Orange amber, frothy off-white head. Aroma: Yeast, malty. Taste: Medium sweet malty, notes of yeast, herbal, bread, toast. Moderate bitter. Lightly sticky mouthfeel. Medium body, under average carbonation. Well balanced, but not that special.
2.7 Pours gold from the bottle. A foamy head turns to a thin creamy layer and lingers. Aroma is yeasty, lightly fruity, with a bit of garden weed and bubblegum. Taste is fruity sweet with a heavy malty palate, a light tartness lingers at the end. Okay.
3.8 Hazy yellow with a bubbly white head. Nice yeast and pale malt smell. Taste is bready with high carbonation. It's fairly sweet. Really pleasantly light level of hops. Body is nicely medium-light.
4.2 ON tap a pale rust coloring with a circle of white and some lacing. Smells of a yeasty bready malty Belgian Beer. Taste is off-butter, caramel and cookie and yeast malt. Heavy heavy creaminess. Slight salty almost lemon in the flavor and a lingering tingly flavor
3.0 minimal head, white foam, frothy, orange, brown, citrus, herbs, alcohol, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, medium body, bitter,
3.3 Very nice saison, beautiful golden pour, nice malty creamy body with plenty of yeast and saison notes, some hints of tropical fruits
3.3 Copper colour, lots of yeast, weak white head. Smell is fruity grassy, with some honey and citrus sourness. White pepper Taste is sweetish sour-bitter, but somewhat flat. Spicy, with a fresh fizzy finish. Subtle funkiness.
3.9 Közepes, nem túl tartós hab, félbarnába hajló narancssárga szín. Mézes, fűszeres illat. Gabonás, kekszes, fűszeres, kissé mézes ízek. Krémes, közepesen testes, erősen szénsavas, gyengén keserű. Nagyon finom, intenzív ízvilágú sör.
3.5 Pours rather unclear blonde, good fluffy white head; Smell is bit malty, tad sweet. Taste is full, malty, creamy, not very bitter. Decent amount of saison yeastyness. Easy drinker. Well made.
3.6 Pours slightly cloudy straw. Nice yeast profile. Medium carbonation. Peppery. A hint of bitterness in a long lasting finish. A well balanced and enjoyable Saison.
3.5 Bright yellow pour. Aroma lemon peel some white pepper. Tastes dry boozy, some rye. By the book a bit underwhelming could be drier.
3.9 Backlog, Bottle shared with PAtrickFannon in 2010. Blonde color with a 3 finger large white head. Stays around. Notes of brett, farm, lemon skins, oak, grain, and flowers. Ultra drying and tart finish. Great saison, had to have it.
2.9 Bottle pour with little head and no lacing. Weak aroma with not much presence. Flavor is peppery and fruity. Interesting balance.
3.4 Aroma: esters and Phenols. Appearance: golden color and white head. Taste: phenols, peachy, esters, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: decent saison.
3.6 Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling amber, light hazy by several small yeasty sediments ; medium off-white head ; good retention. Biscuit, light caramel, herb, light citrus, alcohol note. Medium round sweet, light warming, light fresh bitter. Medium body, light to medium texture, good carbonation, sweet caramel biscuit finish. Overall, good ! Nice belgian ale.
3.1 Bottle from micro bar in and ale centre in Manchester. Pours as golden and hazy with a frothy white head. Nose is sweet and a little fruity. Taste is quite sharp at first, quite hoppy. A little bitter for my tastes.
3.9 Bottle. Clear golden color white head. Aroma of flowers and citrus. Taste is earthy mixed stone fruit, dry finish. Very tasty.
4.4 Bottle at home. Pale yellow colour, small white head disappears fast. Nose is very nice, lightly funky, spicey vanilla and fresh fruity notes. Taste is low funkyness, low fruityness, spices. Nice mixture of yeast notes, but very subtle and well balaned. Round mouthfeel, little alcoholic warmth. Very nice farmhouse overall, would say that it contains more than one yeast time.
4.0 From Zombier. In Goose Island glass. Playing Outland. The funk notes are here but kept to a minimum, making it similar to a belgian blonde. The pear, apple and spicy notes dominate
4.1 Golden color . Big , white head. Aroma of fruits, spices, dough and caramel. Balanced taste with moderate sweetness and notes of spices and fruits. Dry finish with rather strong bitterness .
3.7 Attractive & flavor packed! Pours a pretty cloudy gold w/ a retaining white head that leaves lacing. The Aroma is full of spice. The flavor is quite spicy w/ a fair amount of hop bitterness. Its bursting w/ flavor as any good Belgian should. Really nice beer!
3.7 Bottle, bought@Kihoskh, Cph. Pours clear deep golden with a small, staying creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, light caramel, doughy, oranges, grass, light white pepper. Low carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts, doughy, light warming, oranges, esters, soft pepper, mild, lingering bitterness. Fine Saison.
3.8 Yeasty-lemony aroma emanating from a frothy pour that eventually revealed a straw-gold ale. Taste is peppery and dry with recessed bitterness. "Packaged 11-21-2016," so I enjoyed it from a 12-oz bottle 6 months later.
3.6 Clear, amber, medium head, high carbonation. Aroma: baked apples, peaches, spices. Light body, medium to high sweetness, low to medium bitterness. Nice balance between fruits and spices, very light, but quite sweet.
4.4 12floz bottle (BOD: 04.06.2016), paid the equivalent of $1.50 as part of a mix six (costs more normally as I’ve had it a few times before). A finger head off-white forms on the pour, then recedes to glisten the sides of my tulip glass. Hazy faded yellow body an earthy aroma of forest and subtle herb spices. This is the kind of saison that keeps me trying saisons, where the field is diverse and many can underwhelm or not fit my tastes. Coriander, tree bark, and black table peper are noted flavors as it hits my palate with a full, dry body. Splendid.
3.0 355ml bottle bought at HK Brewcraft in Central. Looks: Clear golden orangeLess than one-quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with active carbonation. Aroma: Fragrant Pils malt, with strong citrus, strong wheaty tartness, pineapple, strong phenolic, light floral, sugar, strong cloves, spices, bread, strong Bel yeast and light grass. Taste: Med to strong sweet Pils malt, with light wheaty tartness, light plums, dark fruits, phenolic, floral, sugar, strong spices, biscuits, strong Bel yeast, lemon, medium bitter hops and grass. Body: Close to medium body. Dry and slick palate. Mouth Feel: Good Pils maltyness in a slightly lean but solid background, with some light wheatyness but still smooth. Dark fruit esters, floral with strong sweetness. Well-hidden booze; spicy, Bel yeasty with good lemon to round. Quite decent but... Hoppiness: Strong citrus, light floral and light grass in nose, same in taste but stronger; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent sweet-bitter malty finish. After Taste: Dry. Sweet, spicy and fairly bitter to mouth. Comments: This one seems to try too hard to belong: as Belgian Saison, it’s too sweet (although I like a sweet Saison, this one is overboard), Bel yeast being simple for a monotone citrus aroma and phenolic/spicyness is too strong. Not bad to try, but I rather stick with the real deals from Belgium and France.
