3.3 Tap at Rost, Stockholm. A pretty decent bitter from a non English brewery, just missing something of the classic bitter though. Still, very passable indeed. (22/10/2017). ----- Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. This time this ale came across as much less British and far more hopped. It also was incredibly milky which was odd. Either way, 3.2 to 3.3. (2/4/20) --- Tap at Artut. Decent aroma with hints of sour but it is the crunchy moorish end that makes this a decent bitter. Kept at 3.3.
4.1 Draught. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel notes. Taste is sweet but bitter. Really nice finish.
3.3 500 ml bottle. This is a nice, crisp, and clean beer. Aroma is light and somewhat fruity, hints of somewhat darker malt. Taste is clean, fruity, and sweet with a dry finish. Quite bitter as well, understandibly. Tasty and very drinkable.
3.2 Keg @ The Rover as Bedarö Bitter - Extra Chinook & Cascade. Tiny hazy brown pour with a frothy offwhite head. Green chives-forward hop nose on a crisp bread malt base. Grapefruit, cape gooseberries & tons of grass. Bitter very hop green taste. Round astringent mouthfeel. Hop cone crispbread sandwich. Earlier Rating: 1/12/2012 Total Score: 3.3 500 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 12. Pours reddish brown with a fizzy white-ish head that leaves lots of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet with caramel, orange zest, grapefruit, hints of pine and bread. Taste is malty and rather bitter with bread, red grapefruit, orange zest, pine and a rather weird seaweed taste. Finish is malty sweet and bitter.
3.7 Fruity aroma, plums and some banana. Taste begins malty sweet and than slowly becomes more bitter. There is some lingering sweetness left that sweetens the bitternes. A nice classic
3.5 3 finger beige head, amber-brown head. Nose: Nuts, malt, caramel, hay, dark bread, yeast and wheat. Taste: Caramel, nuts, oranges, malt, bread, wheat, pumpernickel-bread, hint of grapefruit and yeast. Semi-bitter/low bitterness and semi-long ending.
3.5 500ml from Systembolaget, Hornstull. Hazy deep golden, off-white lacing head. Fruity malty aroma, toffee, bread and woody notes. Mid-dry mouthfeel. Bitter taste, malty and fruity, pear, biscuits and toffee. Pleasant.
Detsamma i smaken.
2.9 Pours nicely in dark amber with a low head. Light malty notes with some light hops. . Taste is weak but gives some hops and a fruity palate.
3.0 Aroma is caramelly malts, subtle hops, citrus and a classic and mild fruityness. Taste is sweeter bread notes with a subtle and well articulated hop profile. Classical bitter taste, and slightly herbal approach in the middle with a nice and well balanced bitterness. Sometimes a classic bitter is all you need.
3.3 sample from draft in goteborg sweden, clear light blonde yellow colour with a white head. nice is bitter hops upfront, floral, citrus, slight fruity, refreshing bitterness.
3.0 . Copper coloured, beige creamy mediumsized head. Pleasant fruity hoppy aroma. Bitter fruity hoppy flavour. Sweet caramellish hoppy finish.
2.8 At Eurhop 2015 in Rome - Italy, on tap. Pours clear amber a bit dark, frothy white cap. Nose: peach, citra, bit butter far away. Mouth: confusing, watery but also kind of unbalanced. Some lemon. Meh
2.8 Butelka z Systembolaget. Kolor ciemnobursztynowy, piana niewielka. Aromat umiarkowany.
3.2 Tap at Akkurat. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: bitter, hoppy, fruity, little sweet. TASTE: bitter, fruity, sweet, candy like.
Gillar!
3.4 Fin färg. Tunn arom. Grummelskum. Inte som jag kom ihåg den. Bitter utan toner. Frisk och lite för vattnig.
3.8 Impressive head, leaving a thick layer of foamy lace. Clear and deep amber colored. A bit piney to the nose. Tastes close to the traditional English Pale Ales but less caramel base. The finish is moderately bitter. There’s just a touch of yeast in the flavor as well.
3.1 Bottle Amber redish, white heavy head. Floral aroma Taste some sourness and bitterness. Notes of grapefruit
3.4 Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of malt, blood orange, toffee. Taste is light citrus bitter with malty caramel sweet backbone. Body is light and smooth with average carbonation.
3.3 Draught at Paddinton, Gothenburg. Deep golden beer with an offwhite head. Fruity, hoppy sweetish aroma. Fruity, hoppy flavour with a nice bitterness. Refreshing :-)
3.4 Poured from bottle, hazy amber with low white head. Aroma with notes of caramel, bread, marmalade and herbs. Taste is front heavy with lots of taste that quickly fades to a rahter thin finish with some bitterness. Really liked this one but it wouldn’t hurt with a bit more body.
3.1 50cl bottle. Hazy, golden pour with small off-white head, fair amount of lacing. Faint aromas of cellar, floral and dough. Taste is medium bitter, some sourness and lightly sweet. Little carbonation, medium body. Short and bitter aftertaste with a hint of metal. A bit thin but above the average, albeit weak beer
3.9 White, small finger-thick head. Citrus and floral aroma. On the sour and bitter side, but with well balanced salty and (evasively burnt sugar, candy-)sweet notes. Light body, somehow watery (but the bubbly kind), bitter finish. A lot of flavor. A tasty ale, not easy to forget. Something scandinavian about it, too, but that might well be in the papillae of the beholder.
