3.5 Pours a cloudy copper color. About one finger head. Slight lacing. Aroma is like a candle. Artificial cloying pumpkin pie. Some spices, but less than many pumpkin offerings. It masks everything else. Taste is the same. Artificial pumpkin pie. Pretty decent crust flavor. Its creamy and rich. Mouthfeel is medium. Its creamy and thick. A lot like eating a pie. Only slight bitterness on the finish. Overall this is okay. I guess I recommend it. I mean it tastes great, but artificial only takes you so far.
2.9 お香感が強い、あまい.
3.2 Bottle. Aroma is faint but good. Pumpkin spices, some sweet caramel malt, and light apple. Tastes pretty close to pumpkin pie but it’s pretty watery. Not bad overall.
2.1 The taste of this beer just doesn’t work. I couldn’t drink it, it went straight down the drain.
3.0 Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Lots of spice on the nose, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and a bit of cardamom. Tastes more of the same with a sweet pumpkin pie character. Nice balance between malts and spice. Slightly medium bodied, but spice flavors are nice. Not bad at all.
3.7 Cloudy translucent orange brown. Quickly dissipating head. Relatively mild but pleasant aroma consisting of nutmeg, cinnamon, malt, and caramel. Thin bodied and smooth. Very unique pumpkin taste. Pumpkin pie is extremely prominent. Spices, malt, caramel and a wee bit of tartness as well. Lacking robustness, but quite good otherwise.
4.6 My personal favorite pumpkin beer after Michigan Brewing Company’s Screamin’ Pumpkin Spiced Ale was no longer made. Dark amber colored and full of flavor. Definitely taste the spice, but could use a touch more pumpkin. Not as hoppy or bitter as most pumpkin beers. Case worthy. For a more creamy pumpkin pie taste, add a splash of Whipped Cream Vodka.
3.0 Bottle into iced Pilsner glass. Deep copper color with minimal white head and no lacing. Aroma is fruity like green apple and raisins. Weird. But taste is effervescent. Like a sparkling ale. Cinnamon nutmeg and clove flavors. Not bad.
3.6 I like pumpkin pie, I love beer… so why not? Pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is cinnamon & nutmeg and the taste is the same. Pleasantly sweet, yet not overwhelming. Enjoyable.
2.2 Kinda bad. Just a typical artificial tasting weak herbal brew. Nothing to write home about or waste your stomach space on.
3.2 Appearance is deep golden with hint of orange, clear, and an off white head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Like fresh pumpkin pie. Taste is sweet caramel malt with pumpkin spicing on the back end. Differs from some othe pumpkin ales in that the malt seems to dominate the flavor. Mouthfeel is light to medium for the style, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes with a spicy, bready note. Definitely more caramel malt and less spicing in this than other pumpkin ales, which I kinda like.
3.4 355ml twist off bottle. Orange pour, not much head. Smells like pumpkin pie, good on them for mirroring it. Flavor is typical pie spices, but not too much on them, little bit of pumpkin, literlaly tastes like pumpkin pie, one of the few pumpkin beers that tastes like pumpkin pie and honestly that’s all i ask, not diabetes and spices.
2.8 This is a very spice forward pumpkin ale but the spice flavor is pleasant at least, make for a pretty drinkable beer--better than many by the brewery, in fact. It is slightly hazed orange w/ a white head of fine bubbles that lasts as just a small ring for the duration of the glass. The nose is all warm cinnamon spice w/ something of an apple note, which I assume comes from the yeast. Flavor is even more spice forward w/ a very slight metallic note coming out as it warms. Its texture is suitably creamy for this kind of beer though but still relatively light bodied w/ mild carbonation which seem to add to things. This definitely scratches the pumpkin beer itch for those who crave such things. There are better ones out there but this is good enough I suppose.
3.4 Picked up at Bottles and Cans. It pours a clear amber with a thin head that was gone in the blink of an eye. Very fruity cinnamon, extremely freshly baked apple pie like with a touch of raisins. The taste is similar, I don’t get pumpkin I get delicious apple-raisin-cinnamon pie with the crumbly crust. Thin bodied with a spritzy carbonation. As a pumpkin beer it doesn’t work for me I give it a 12/20 as an apple pie beer it gets a 16/20 either way it is quite sweet and could be cloying for some people. I like it but a 6-pack would be a bit much, more of a once a day beer. If you are having trouble getting through a bottle it pairs very very nicely with ice cream - think pie a la mode. Overall pretty good and it paired exceptionally well with a Tokyo Banana too.
2.4 Just awful. Strong cinnamon start and highly carbonated. Had out of a bottle at home. Pours orange in color with a white head
3.5 Poured a cloudy copper colour with minimal head. Sweet and spicy aroma. A bit carbonated. Taste of pumpkin and spices, primarily cinnamon and nutmeg, are balanced with malt flavors. A good flavor for pumpkin ales, but doesn’t offer much more. Just a decent brew for everyday fall.
3.4 I think this one deserves a higher rating. Really smells and tastes like pumpkin. Has some sweetness and pumpkin pie spices, but it’s not overdone like some other pumpkin ales I have tried. Worth a try, I think it’s a well balanced and subtle pumpkin beer.
3.4 Bottle; poured an iced treatment orange color with not much head. Aroma of pumpkin, spice, fruit juice, and sweetness. Pretty sweet, almost like a pie. Mild spice with some caramel. Enjoyed this
3.4 12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head . Atom of malts and pumpkin. Taste is caramel and pumpkin.
2.9 12oz bottle, purchased from Woodstock Wine & Cheese in Michigan. Enjoying this on robotopera’s pontoon boat in devils lake michigan, shortly after sunset. Setting is chill. Clear orange color. Little off-white head. Loose lace. Caramel malt, spiciness. Moderate sweet taste. Not much else to the taste, besides spiciness. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Slick finish. A whatever kind of craft pumpkin ale; mediocre. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing aside from the dead of average for the style.
2.6 Kinda bland and a bit watery. It’s like they started with a good idea but didn’t add enough of anything to be unique. Aroma would suggest much more than the taste delivers.
3.4 Pours a cloudy orange color. Aroma and taste are pumpkin and spices. Slightly sweet finish.
3.6 The was obtained in a trade with Doran in Missouri. Thanks. Poured amber-orange with a white head. Nose is of course pumpkin, with a lot of spices with clove and cinnamon dominate, and a hint of the advertised nutmeg. Medium body and a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is rich and the pumpkin and spices well balanced. Finish is spicy and the beer is very easy to drink. Well crafted version of this style.
3.1 Ok pumpkin. Good spice aroma w/ an orange pour & white head. The spice hits nicely upfront but kind of finishes bland. Nothing extraordinary going on here.
3.2 12 oz bottle from Party Source (from notes). Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pumpkin pie spices; nutmeg, cinnamon with some fleshy pumpkin and a bit of caramel. No body at all with a bit too much carbonation.
3.0 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with thick frothy whote head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong clove and nutmeg. Medium mouthfeel with strong spice and cinnamon. Good.
4.1 O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer has a thin, off-white head, a hazy, orange appearance with lots of bubble streams, some suspended brown chunks, and thin lacing left behind. The aroma is strong, pungent, sweet, wheaty, pumpkiny, and spicy. Taste is all of that, with no artificial or off aspects. It is not too sweet or overbearing. Mouthfeel is medium, and O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and fairly sweet. This is one of the better pumpkin beers I have tried. RJT
5.0 This is one of my favorite pumpkin beers. The flavor tastes exactly like pumpkin pie with the whipped cream on top. This is one of the best pumpkin beers I have had. My standard is Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale but O’Fallon Pumpkin is a close second.
3.3 12 oz. bottle part of my Fall trade with queenholly. Slightly hazy orange color with quickly vanishing head leaving nothing in the wake. Nose is light gourd and all spice. Taste is decent. Pumpkin pie filling, cinnamon, honey, and cinnamon. Body is light and a touch watery. Can you find better pumpkin ales? Of course you can but this is still a decent drinker.
3.0 12oz bottle thanks to Keir. Poured a slightly cloudy deep burnt orange body underneath a smaller fizzy light beige head. Aroma had an initial blast of veggies, wet french fries, rotting pupkin and some spice. Medium body with stronger carbonaton that builds during the entire swallow till it’s a bit distractive. Flavor is a bit more spiced up than the aroma. Notes of cinnamon and cloves along with lots of veggies, a hint of sour rotting pumpkin and old wet grains.
