4.1 Best before May 2006, this poured a colour rather darker than most other wheat beers I’ve had and was a bit on the hazy side as well. The head was substantial, foamy and white. Aroma was of grass and also was tart. Taste was sharp and bitter for a wheat, but sweetened up in the aftertaste. Quite a different wheat beer than I’m used to; liked it!
3.2 bottle, bought somewhere deep in rural Devon. Clear golden colour, mid-sized fluffy white head. Fruity nose. Light-bodied, malty base with lots of citrus fruit (orange, orange marmalade, lemon, tangerine). Lingering hoppy finish.
2.8 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dull golden wth a low and firm white head. Mild aroma of straw and lemon. Light-bodied with notes of straw, vanilla and lemon-zest. Low bitterness in the finish with sweetish notes of white bread and vanilla.
3.0 Deep yellow with huhe white head, powerful aroma of orange & pineapple juice, flavor is winey with some malt and herby bitter finish, body is medium. Nice aroma.
3.0 Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW. Victoria SW1. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a very small whit ehead. Has a fruity malty floral hoppy aroma. Sweetish fruity malty and slightly hoppy flavor with some hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
3.0 Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear golden colour, short white head. Aroma has a hint of fruity malts, caramel. Flavour some fruits, biscuit malts. Watery.
2.5 Orangey brown with little or no head. Sweet creamy hop nose. Sweet and thick and a little flat. Cereal aftertaste. Not very interesting or nice for that matter.
3.4 Bottle. Hazy golden with a smallish white head. Good fruity and spicy nose. Spicy fruit flavours matched by moderate bitterness. Some earthy hops. Refreshing and complex at the same time.
1.3 Cask at Wetherspoons, Victoria 16 Nov 08. Pale golden colored. No head. Hardly any aroma. Watery all the way.
3.2 Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy yellow color ale with an average foamy head with light retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of light malt with not much apparent wheat with some strange metallic hops. Taste is also a mix between some lightly sweet malt with some metallic hops and a spicy yeast finish. Body is a bit thin with some average carbonation.
2.5 500 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BB 07 07 09. DE09/08.

App.: Slightly hazy golden with remnants of a white head. Aroma: Light grass and straw, a touch of hops, some flinty, wheaty grain, a touch of earthy coriander-like spice, very slightly tangy. Palate: Medium-ish body and fairly restrained effervescence with a few sharp bubbles. Flav.: Kinda like the nose – light peppery grassy hops, some wheat and grain, a touch of earthy coriander; dry with basically no bitterness and light mineral malt to finish.

Uninteresting.
3.6 500ml Bottle - Golden with a slight haze and mild carbonation. Fresh and hoppy aroma with lemon, pineapple and grapefruit. Slightly tangy taste with a lovely hoppiness with lemon, grapefruit and pineapple cubes.
3.2 Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. It pours a clear golden body with a thin layer of white bubbles. Looking delicious. Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose, with malt in the background. Quite weak but pleasant. Nice fruity flavor with some lemon and a touch of grapefruit and pineapple. A little malt too. There’s some bitterness towards the finish. Medium body. Good drinkability and refreshing, but quite ordinary. (081022)
2.7 Bottle, bought at LIVA, Kolding. Pours very hazy pale neon-ish yellow. Small, creamy, white head. Okay duration. Aroma is wheaty, lots of citric and pine hops with some bready malts as well. Lowish carbonation, a thin-ish mouthfeel. Flavour is fine. Some fruitiness and wheat with subdued hoppiness and dryness. A tad dull.
2.8 Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow. Pale clear gold with a thin white head. Refreshing and citrus in wheat beer style but rather bland.
2.8 Cask conditioned at Cockney Pub, Århus Blond color, thin head. I can’t find wheat presence here; it’s mild, simple, but with some light fresh aroma, citrusy, with some malt flavor (almost crispy) and a quite strong bitterness. Drinkable.
3.2 labeled as double champion wheat. hazy yellow color, frothy white head, a bit of lacing. grass, sweet malt in the nose. flvor is caramel, cream, corn. oily mouth feel, creamy finish.surprisingly enjoyable, although a bit creamy-sweet for my taste, all that being said, i’d drink this double dog wheat again.
1.8 The aroma is very sweet - a pleasant surprise considering most wheat beers I’ve had. Yeasty too, and bready. Gorgeous frothy head. The flavor is a little more malty than other wheat beers I’ve had. A little thin in the finish, which is also slightly sour. A drinkable beer, but not great.
3.1 Cask at Cockney Pub. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Nice grassy and citrus notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Nice bitter average finish. Oily palate.
3.0 I would call this a pale wheat ale. 16.9 oz bottle, labeled Double Champion Wheat, produces a slightly hazed, yellow gold body and skimpy white head. Subtle aroma of lemon candy and toasted wheat. Light medium body is well carbonated. Taste is well balanced between lemony bitterness and wheat cracker maltiness. Clean and refreshing but pedestrian.
2.8 Appearance: Cloudy greyish orange. Lots of white head, longlived. Aroma: Citrus and hops, some spices and wheat. Taste: Lots of hops and wheat. Lemony. Quite bitter aftertaste. Info: 500ml bottle, 14/8-2008, 197/500
3.6 16.9oz bottle from Bottleworks in Seattle, WA--Poured a fuzzy straw-golden (slightly orange) hue with a fluffy thick white head. Vibrant floral, fruity wheaten nose. Great hops and wheat play. This beer was super delicious on a warm summer’s day. Loved it!
3.6 Has a very spa/mineral water gib to it’s taste. Fresh, lite & quick. I usually stay away from wheat beers, but this one is good. surprisingly. Look slike wheat beer so no poitns there - thick, stagnant looking thing. No dey - this is a good drop.
3.1 Cask at Charlies, Copenhagen. Clear golden coloured with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of hops with notes of malts and pine needles. Fruity flavour of hops with notes of malts, grass and pine needles. Hoppy finish. High drinkability.
