3.2Ascot 2019. Pours a dark orange colour with a thin white head, plenty of tropical fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness and fruity with a dry bitter finish.
3.3Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival on the 4th October 2019. Cask, gravity dispense, 1/2 pint sampled. Dark amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong tropical fruit aroma, heady on the long nose. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a very light Jacobs cream cracker base with very juicy tropical fruit notes of mango, pineapple, guava all in the mouth. Citrus pith becomes more pronounced in the drying bitter aftertaste as astringency builds. Finish is hoppy as tropical fruit and citrus flavours still present on the palate. High ABV is obvious in the depth of flavour.
2.5Citra note is very weak whilst the bitterness is too much so the balance is far off.
Really unsatisfactory
3.6On tap. Pours a bright clear amber with moderate fluffy head. Aromas of soft citrus, grass and toasted malts. Flavors of fruity citrus, light pine, floral hops and toasted malts. Clean.
4.3Ooh, superb green, vegetal and aggressive hop action go on - yes yes yes! A really delicious ale.
3.7A: Clear gold with a small white head.
N: Orange peel and pine.
T: Some malt sweetness, but its hops all the way. Quite bitter with citrus and pine again.
P: Medium-thin
O: Great beer
3.8Golden and hoppy with a slightly sulphuric sourness. Not sure if this was meant or a sign of poor bottling. Medium body and quite powerful but that sourness put me off.Reasonable but not one I would recomend.
3.4Pivo u flaši.
Popijeno u Gourmet Shopu & Tasting Roomu "Pötãman" u Premanturi.
Sladna i herbalno hmeljna aroma..
Tijelo je Bitterasto , i nešto više gazirano..
3.8Pint, The Southern. Amber, foamy head. Aroma is citrus, dry hops. Taste is massively bitter, dry, but with West Coast pine and citrus leanings. On cask it has a big taste and impact that's unusual. Great.
3.9Tap @ Maquila Bar, Seville, Spain.
Golden colour with a thin white head.
Aroma is hops, citrus, pine, malt.
Taste is hops, citrus, resin, herbs, malt, sweet.
Medium body, average carbonation.
4.0De Decervecitas. En copa Teku. Viendo Black Mirror Bandersnatch.
4.2Color no turbio, no demasiado atrayente. Persistencia extremadamente agradable. Muy bien.
4.6If you like Citra, you'll love this.
3.8Bottiglia.
3.9Citra on heat at 6%. Very nice ipa easy to drink as you would expect from oakham ales. Quite fruity in flavour, overall pleasant taste and aroma
4.2The IPA is the business, super hoppy, one of the hoppiest beers I've ever tasted. This is actually my go to bottle in 'Spoons when I have a full wallet. Surprised I hadn't reviewed it yet. Wierd. Its gorgeous hoppy aroma hits you, the light yellowish/greenish golden color just shouts Hops. E wierd thing is it only Citra hops that are used, most very hoppy beers tend to have a variety of hops so the complex flavour is even more impressive. One for the true hop heads, not the Punk IPA lot.
4.6Bottle from Drinkshop.sk. Mistrzowstwo smaku i aromatu.
3.0Golden colour with soapy head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by cannabis style skunky hop notes. Within date but I assume past its best.
4.1Keg at Booma Brixton. Excellent West coast style IPA. 1 finger persistent white head with nice lacing. Dark straw colour, clear. Fruity aroma. Medium mouthfeel with fairly strong carbonation. Long lingering hoppy bitterness
4.4Powerful tropical fruit. Wytrawne, no chmiel, chmiel, chmiel.
5.0Best ever beer. If you have never tried it it's the closest to heaven you will get on earth.
4.6Very pale, but rich in flavor and the hops punch through. Enough clout to smack you round the head a bit too.
3.6Cask at The Organ Grinder Nottingham. Took a while to settle on a warm summer day but eventually pale golden body with white lace top. Aroma has the time honoured citric hops of an Oakham ale. Taste is medium sweet to lightly bitter but that intensifies. Palate is medium bodied, oily texture, more than average carbonation but not unduly fizzy, and a bitter finish. My review was interrupted by a fellow drinker who reminisced that Green Devil had made him see things he did not want to see again ( he later conceded that it was not the only drink that evening) but this is the kind of encounter that gives one pause. Anyway assuming I do not have vision, I recommend the beer.
4.3Bottle at home from Tesco. A perfect pour and an inviting aroma of rich and bitter hops on the nose. The taste is that of a truly great English style craft IPA. Huge and rich hops with an almost perfect balance between sweet and bitter. Oh this was lovely, lovely, lovely and a brilliant example by an amazing brewery. A great mouthfeel rounded out a fantastic package.
3.8Bottle bought at a local Wetherspoons. First time trying this beer. Its a beautiful beer but needs more hops
4.0Flaska metro.Pena ziadna.Farba cira zlatista.Vona dominuje Citra troska v pozadi ale slabucko slad.Chut prijemne nasytena citra dominuje.Dochut prijemne horka.´
3.8Bottle. Clear golden. Decent white head. Nose: a convincing combination of English flowers and American dank. Pineapple. Mefium body. Taste: initial robust biscuity malts. Ending: fruity dank, biscuit, strong grapefruit bitterness. Very nice.
3.8Half pour (cask) at York Tap. Light golden, small tight head, streaky lacing. Fruity aroma, piney, caramel malts. Taste is mostly the hops, sharp, astringent. Grabs the palate and won't let go.
