3.4 It's nothing desperately exciting but Oakham know their way around a pale, hoppy citrus thing and this is no exception. Light, crisp, some lemony citrus and a nice, dry zesty finish. Plenty quaffable.
4.0 Cask beer at the Last Post JDW. This beer is paler than a Goth competing at a "who's the palest" contest. Once I got over it's frankly Mr.Shankly unappetising looks this is a mighty fine session beer. I had several pints and enjoyed them all without being reminded of a greengrocers or an exotic location. One for the drinker not the ponce. John Wayne is big leggy.
3.4 Bottle - clear, golden yellow. No carbonation, decent white head which slowly dissipates. Strong citrus aroma. Good mouthfeel. Good citrus tasting, bitter finish. Easy drinking - refreshing.
3.2 Cask @ The Alexandra Arms, Cambridge. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, flowers, malt and hops. Sweet finish.
2.6 Nice and refreshing. I think it used to have more depth of flavor when it won aGBBF award.
3.7 Drank on Cask at Hengler's Circus Wetherspoons in Glasgow. Nice served cold. Crisp, dry and fresh with a fruity aroma. Reyt nice.
3.6 On cask at the Bloxwich Showman. Pours a very light yellowish colour. Lemon aroma with citrus and hoppy flavour. At 3.8 it makes a decent, refreshing session ale.
3.4 Light easy drinking golden. Zingy citrus and mild hops. Nice.
3.3 Slightly opalescent golden colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of floral-honey, fruity, grainy and moderate citrusy notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with candy sugar, honey, bittery orange zest and fruity notes; refreshing ale
3.1 [10157-20180226] Cask. Fragrant onion lemon aroma with a hint of applesauce. Slightly hazy, pale yellow brown body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter apple floral hops flavour. Medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/12+) 3.1 (@ Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd, Wales)
3.3 Very pale. Sweet malt and citrus smell. Pithy notes dominate and biscuity malt backbone. Ok but not a bitter (as advertised)
3.1 Bottle from Home Bargains/ Pours pale translucent golden with small white head. Aroma is a touh of lemon sherbert, slightly grassy and cereal/biscuit malt. Taste is niely balanced bitter and sweet with a medium finish. Feels pretty good in the mouth. Nice beer for its style but nothing that would blow you away.
3.7 Bottle from Morrisons drunk alongside a spicy pizza whilst watching the Blues Brothers on Netflix when the wife was out. A great pour and a lovely gentle, fruity hop nose to the beer. There taste was all about those hops, fruity, slightly bitter and the jagged edges carefully rounded off. I could argue that this is a cross-over between an English and a New World IPA and for me it really worked. The abv was low and this would be eminently sessionable in the summer.
3.5 2018-02-26. Lightly hazy yellow body, moderate off-whitehead and lace. 3+ Aroma is mild, pleasant fruit, light grass and floral touches. Flavour is mild, lightly fruity, hints of grapefruit, light bitterness throughout. Average bodied palate, soft to low carbonation. 7/3/7/3/14-15 On cask at Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd.
3.4 Pours a clear golden colour with a small frothy white head. A light malt and fruity aroma, sweet citrus and herbal hops. A moderately sweet taste, white bread, citrus and fresh sweet grassy hop flavours. Crisp in the mouth with a moderate citrus bitterness in the finish.

3.7 500ml bottle. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is malty, biscuit, citrus fruit. Taste of biscuity malts and citrus fruit, slightly floral, finish is bitter. Light body, oily texture, fine carbonation. Very nice and refreshing, definitely one of the better bitters I've had.
3.0 Bottle. Nose is toffee, hint of caramel. Taste is biscuit, lightly hoppy, citrus, caramel, floral, slightly herbal dry hop finish. Fine.
2.7 Fairly bland ale, not a great deal of citrus notes that I can taste, or much malt backbone.
3.7 Pale pour, nice sweet citrussy smell. Quite a thin palate but lovely shandy-esque refreshing taste with fruits and background malts. Superb summer bitter.
3.3 Cask @ Bricklayers Arms, Luton Kolor złoty, czysty w 100% klarowny trunek. Piana średnia, biała, opada w dół, słabo znaczy szkło. W aromacie zioła, lekki cytrus, mocna zaparzona herbata, delikatny przypieczony chleb. W smaku słodowe z chlebowymj nutami, poza tym zioła, delikatne herbaciane akcenty. Trochę ściągająca goryczka z cytrusowym tłen. Przrciętne, ale nie ma co marudzić.
3.1 Cask at Guildford Arms. Very pale, almost like colored water. Nose is citrus, light dough, light floral. Tastes light bitters, light toasted caramel, doughy malts. Ok.
3.1 Cask, Mariners Great Yarmouth. Pours golden with a fading off white head. Aroma of hops and light fruits. Bitter hoppy taste with light citrus flavours and a dry and bitter lasting aftertaste. Some light carbonation. It’s OK, it has flavour, but for me the aftertaste is just too bitter and not refreshing enough. It comes bottom of the pile of all the Oakham beers I’ve tried.
3.6 On cask at Stockbridge tap. Pours clear lemon gold. Nose of daffodils, fruit. Taste is fruity, dry finish.
2.5 @Gallow’s Bird Real Ale Festival 2017 golden clearush. Clean, bit dull malty, wheaty , bit maizy nose. Light. Watery, weak. Feels like a mexican real ale. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.7 (Re-rate, cask at White Horse on Parsons Green, 20191017) Fruity and spicy aroma. Piny, spicy and malty taste. A pleasant golden ale with strong flavours. Old rating: (Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2017) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness, starch and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were earth, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A rather poor golden ale. Finish was nice. 5-6-3-11
