1.6Hazy yellow color, no head. Aroma is extremely acidic with some nail polish on top. Taste starts with sour fruits, vinegar, really sour with some wine notes. This one is quite bad.
1.3Bottle from Alesbymail. Vintage 2012. Clear golden without head. Aroma is sweet, malty, glue and heavy acetone. Flavor is medium sweet and extremely acidic. Dry and extremely acidic finish. I hope this wasn’t intended by the brewer. 260816
2.4Shared BOTTLE 75 CL. Pear fruitiness, sharp acetic byte, glue. Taste: extreme acetic, glue, yet with rezidual sugars. Measured pH was 3.3. Fucking rat poison.
2.4750ml bottle. 2012 vintage. Hazy yellow-gold amber colour with no head. Aroma of vinegar, solvent, glue, woody, funk. Taste is sour, lemon rind, acetic vinegar, straw, glue, booze, wood, barnyard. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry sour finish. Very vinegary, seems to be past its best, quite a dissapointment.
1.8Thanks to Mike for this bottle wich was a long time want!
1.1Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Aroma of glue, malt and vinegar. Taste is horrible, with lots of vinegar, gluey booze, malt and some more medicinal booze. I don’t know whether this is supposed to be this way, but it’s nasty and I couldn’t even finish my small sample.
1.6Warm golden colour, slight white head. Aroma of glue. Pure glue. Sour flavour, vinegar, aceton, glue, ethyl acetate. Finish vinegar and light citrus. Quite horrible. A shame, as I was actually looking forward to this one - I love lambic and was very happy to be able to taste what seems to be considered the best American made example in this style atm. Either this batch was off, or I really don’t understand the American palate in flat lambic. What a pity.
(from 75cL bottle shared @ ZZT 2016-1. With thanks to caesar for bringing me the bottle!!)
1.0Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1, small sample. 2014 vintage. Thanks all for sharing! Hazy golden color, short frothy head. Horrible aroma of pure glue and aceton. Incredibly sour, acetic acid, sharp. Burns holes in your stomach. Maybe in the Brazilian favelas they love sniffing this kind of glue. Simply horrible and undrinkable.
0.8Thank you Tinus! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. 2012 Vintage! Hideous label. Very hazy citrus golden. Nose is massive glue, really extreme, like sniffing scale model glue mixed with instant glue, really extreme, chemical, harsh. Taste is extreme glue, really insane, chemical to extreme, puckering, vinegar,… Thick bodied. This is ridiculous, this is some acid infection taken to an absolute extreme limit, you might as well try drinking vinegar mixed with glue. I could deal with this being straighten vinegar & might even enjoy it a bit. Glue notes are really extreme here, what infection this, it’s beyond all sanity. I don’t understand people drinking & enjoying it – this used to be #1 unblended lambiek on RB for the love of god. Currently it still stands at #23. I don’t agree with William Blake but I think that people loving & making this have taken his saying to hear: “The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom...You never know what is enough until you know what is more than enough.” This is more than enough.
0.9Sampled from bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Hazy murky pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma is purely glue. Taste is horrible: acidic, vinegar, undrinkable sour. Absolutely horrible. Disgusting and undrinkable.
4.2Oceanside claims to be "Conscientiously affecting the ostentatious, weird, or bizarre." Tasting Daliesque confirms their dedication to that mantra. This "Sour Blonde" is full of funk. Pale color. It’s earthy, sour, musty, and lightly acetic. Vinegar, barnyard, and tart citrus notes in the taste profile. A bit vinous. Pretty cool to have a Lambic of this style from the US. Even cooler to have one with several years of age.
3.5(Thanks, Shawn! "MacBoost")
Bottle.
A- Slight funk, apricot, acidic.
A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, no head.
T- Slight funk, slight vinegar, stone fruits, acidic, tart.
P- Light body, effervescent texture, high carbonation, refreshing finish.
O- Vintage 2011. This is one tasty brew. I expected it to be full of funk and tons of Brett. Nope, it was tart, refreshing, and really easy to drink. The barrel aging didn’t seem to do much to it and it held up well after even 5-6 years.
2.72012 bottle. Pours a hazy orangish color. Aroma and taste are lots of strong vinegar and tartness.
3.2Bottle

3.3Bottle. Amber beer with a thin cream head. Sour and light acetic aroma with light fruitiness. Sour and light acetic flavor with summer fruit. Medium bodied. Sour and light acetic notes linger with oak and light summer fruit. Low carbonation.

No head. Clowdy golden color. Very well balanced acidity. Nice lactic aroma. with a bit of apple cider aroma and taste. Nice dry finnsih. Really refreshing!
3.5March 5, 2016. Bottle, vintage 2011, courtesy of tom10101, thanks!
Light hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is green apple, lemon, grapes, vinegar, hints of aceton. Taste is sour, a bit acetic, slight fruity with an acetic finish and a bit too much vinegar and aceton, slight fruity notes. Light to medium bodied
4.1Bottled. Cloudy golden, minimal head. Tart mango aroma with some vinegar. Dry and juicy with mild vinegary sourness. Hay and grapestone bitterness, tropical fruits with salty vinegar. Significant bitterness. Lovely, juicy sour ale. Not very complex, just grabs you by the horns and drags you away.
2.9Bottle at omhper?s. Thanks hackobock! 2011 vintage. Hazy light golden liquid with minimal white head. Aroma of lemon, vinegar, red apples, nail polish and light plastic. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of lemons, vinegar, red apples and light nail polish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Not as good as some people say, but not as bad as other do. Run of the mill American sour. Not a lambic. Edit: after drinking some more, this is pretty vinegary. Lowered the score a bit.
0.5Bottle. Cloudy yellow orange pour, with a minimal white head. Nail polish remover, strong white vinegar, acitone, notes of lemon, and glue. This is terrible and undrinkable. This beer is complete bullshit.
3.7Bottle shared by Maakun at Ex-ABC. Vintage 2011. Hazy straw with golden hue and thin white head. Woodglue, straw, grass, flowery, grapes, light cheesiness, milksour. Mild but still fierce sour. Very soft milky texture, lovely!
3.5Bottle 2011 label at THT thanks to me and thanks to Santa bytemesis for sending this. Hazy golden with no head. Lots of lactic notes, lemon, gooseberries, almonds, light herbs, a touch of wood glue, dough, vanilla, white wine vinegar, yellow raisins. Over medium sour and very light sweetness. Medium bodied with a bit doughy slick feel.
3.5Bottle sampled at THT. Cloudy golden with a tiny ring off white head. Aroma of oak barrel, citrus, lactic notes, light funk and a little glue. Flavour is above light sweet and moderate sour. Light medium bodied with very soft carbonation. Fairly nice and better than I expected but nothing outstanding.
3.475cl bottle shared at the February THT.
No head. Hazy golden pour. Quite tart aftertaste
5.0Defiantly weird and bizarre. Over the top lambic style. I say style cuz it is real over top sour tart oak funk green apple wine vinegar and sour pear. I can see why some are poor ratings as it is too much over top like a pale that is actually a xxipa. Not rating this style just rating how much I enjoyed it. May be new category imperial lambic.
1.7Bottle shared at Leightons place, 14/12/15. Aroma is pungent, vinegar, onion, dirty grains. Offensive. Dull golden orange coloured pour with no head. Flavour is sharp emetic, vinegar, sharp, musty grains, terrible. Palate is acid, sharp, moderate carbonation. Terrible beer.
3.4Bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sour bitter fruit with a bit of funk and a grain backbone. Flavor has light sour fruit with a hint of acid, some funk and a light grain note.
