Double Pilsner is our tribute to the pilsner style, heavily hopped but balanced with malt and refined on our 5-barrel system. Originally brewed in Bohemia, pilsners were the world's first clear golden lagers and the start of a dramatic revolution in brewing. Today, pilsners are still a revered part of Czech and German life and an inspiration to our brewers.

3.5Gold pour with a white head. Nose is florals, light spice, bitter, and heavy malts. Easy palate, big malts up front, florals, sweet, nice finish.
2.3Draught > Common Table. Way to sweet.no head. No crisp palate. In fact, it feels heavy and viscous. Not good.
3.5As so wonderfully expressed by legion242, this is most certainly a deep urine color. Mine doesn’t really have much head, and there isn’t all that much lacing. Aroma of sweet bread, citrus, and saltines. Taste is sweet malt, a little sweet fruit, moderate bitterness, and booze. Medium-full bodied, boozy, and dry.
4.0Poured a deep urine colour with medium head and good lacing. In the mouth it almost tastes like chocolate but in a very mild sense.
3.77/9/2014. From bottle. Golden yellow with a white head. Fruity and spicy aromas. A little sweet at first, but with some boozy notes. Fruit, hops, malt, spices. Well rounded. Smooth finish.
3.9Clear, burnt orange color with lots of bubbles holding a nice head. Tingy pale malt aroma. Tingy flavor. Tastes like beer of yesteryear. If you made a pale lager concentrate this woud be it.
3.712oz bottle picked up at The Grapevine
Pours clear honey/golden with a small off-white head and light lacing. Aroma of pils malts, cereal, citrus and cracker. Taste is crackers, citrus, some alcohols and lemon peel
Refreshing
3.8Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a finger of white head. Aroma is bready with citrus and spicy hops. Taste is light bitter. Citrus with a spicy and herbal finish. Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Crisp and refreshing with some slight warming at the end. Very good.
3.1[Bottle] Golden pour with a soapy white head. Sweet biscuits, hay and floral hops in the aroma. Taste is of light sweet malts and mild grass/vegetable notes. Grass and lingering hop bite round it out. Sticky and oily mouthfeel. Light alcohol. Overall thoughts... it tastes like a nicely hopped malt liquor. Tasting notes from 11/2011.
3.3On tap, poured a clear yellow hue w/ a small white head. Moderate grain aroma. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a medium bitter finish. Tastes are bread and hay. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and creamy mouthfeel.
3.7Tap. Clear gold. Small white head. Crisp, sweet. So much better than a regular pilsner. Strong alcohol taste. Refreshing without being plain.
3.6Clean crisp clear-ish with a noble hops taste. Very much to style. Decent white head, light golden color, subtle malt tones and spicy hops influences.
3.5Sampled at the brewery. Great logo. This is a big beer. Spicy hi character, big sweet pilsner malt flavor. Some fruity notes in the finish. Not bad.
3.51st beer of GABF weekend. Not really my favorite style but I got the big abv taster at the brewery bc I wanted to test the higher elevation theory the first hour I was in Colorado. As one would expect, it was boozy. Nice medium body with some creaminess. Pils hops pop nicely.
3.4On tap at the brewery in Ft. Collins, CO. Golden pour with a short white head. Lemony citrus aroma with Pilsner malts and flowers. Citrus hop flavor at the forefront with an expected pilsner malt finish. Light bitterness lingers on the palate. Good overall.
2.8On tap @ Odell. Clear golden pour with a white head. Grassy hops, lemon peel, some floral notes, and sweet malt. Light yeast, apple esters, Slight pear and sugar note. Really sweet flavor. Grape, applesauce, and pear. Lemon peel, slight bitterness, and floral hops.
3.4Not my favorite style but this one is nice. Big boozy beer that has nice yeast and bread notes. Clean finish and easy drinking
4.4Heavy gravity pilsner that retains its lager refreshment. Pours corn color, magnificently balanced palate that hides the 8.1 ABV very well! Not too hoppy, not too malty, a true original!
3.1This beer is not too bad for a lager. I’m not a fan of that twang, but it is very restrained and there are other interesting things going on with this. The gravity lends an appealing roundness and the hops while subtle add a touch of chalk to the mouthfeel.
2.4It still tastes like a pilsner, but at least there’s some alcohol content. So you’re getting twice the bang for your nick compared to Coors.
3.2Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Sweet malt and light grassy aroma. Sweet malt flavor. Medium bodied. Sweet malt lingers with light mineral and light grass.
4.0Bottle - I’ve been on a pilsner kick lately and this one really stands out. It has a rich, wonderful aroma. It’s packed full of flavor and has an excellent mouthfeel. I will definitely be buying more!
3.5Bottle: yellow with a slight haze. Creamy head. Piney nose. Fizzy yet slick mouthfeel. Clean flavor with notable alcohol level. Crisp dry finish. ~m

3.1On tap at odell. Clear golden color with a white head and plenty of lacing. Kind of weird, but i’d drink it again
3.7Bottle in Breckenridge, pours clear golden, tastes like a typical pils but with a bit of a kick
3.2On tap. Comes a clear light gold with a nice white head. Aroma of grain, malt, and grass. Taste is malt, grain, grass, and florals. Pretty good.
4.1The appearance of this beer is top notch: bubbly, clear golden color, and a large white head. The aroma of this beer is a strong mixture of floral hops, sour dough yeast, and bread malts, and the taste is a balance of mildly sour and mildly sweet flavors. Finally, the mouthfeel rounds this beer out nicely with its lively carbonation, slick texture, medium body, and a sour finish.
3.5On tap at the brewery, this pours golden with a wispy ivory ring of suds. The nose has grains. Thick pilsner malt and grains with a lightly alcoholic finish. Bold palate, it's a bit oily and full. Not a bad pils here.
3.3Pours a clear yellow with a finger of white head. Smell reminiscent of white bread dough is apparent before raising the glass. A light fruity smell hides in the back. Taste is similarly doughy, with some balancing flavors of honeydew. Sweetness is appropriate but has a bit of aspartame off-flavor. Nice.
3.4Wow, what a sharp aroma - citric acid, earthy hops, some Fruity Pebbles, sour green apples, and lemon zest. The head is small with lots of tightly packed, tiny bubbles. Classic yellow-gold pils appearance. Taste is earthy hops, sweet malt, peaches, spiciness, Warheads candy, and funk. Reminds me of Lagunitas Pils on crack. Weird beer. Strong as all get-out. But I sort of like this for some reason.
