Odell Drumroll

Odell Drumroll

Drumroll is an unfiltered American Pale Ale. A bold, juicy, citrus-inspired and tropically hop forward APA that looks and tastes like pineapple, orange, mango, and grapefruit. The complex fruit character is the result of the careful combination of our favorite current crop year hops with no fruit or juice addition necessary.

3.3 On tap at The Salt House (Galway, Ireland). Hazy blond body with a lasting, white creamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with citrusy and yeasty hints. Its light malty/hoppy taste carries citrusy and herbal notes. Ends with a good herbal finish.
4.0 A good go to not terribly bitter a little cloudy fruit vibe with citrus and some other kind of fruit I can’t place maybe nectarines.
3.5 tap at Odell in Ft Collins - pretty cool, simple hazy pale ale. very easy drinking
3.7 Pours a hazy golden orange on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of mild new school hops, zesty earthy and loads of citrus, with a touch of biscuit behind. Taste is even punchier on the hops, resinous dank new school stuff, with moderate bitterness and soft mouth. It's likely their attempt at new school and its not horrible.

3.9 473ml can. Pours a hazy orange with a large, thick, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of stone fruit, grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit, pine and biscuit malt. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuit malt, apricot, peach, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, papaya and pine resin in a dry, mildly bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A very tasty, hoppy APA. Borders on IPA territory. Well balanced, nicely done.

The Tate is citrus tinges bread crust with some hint of light tobacco. A ling lingering lightly bitter finish. The body is almost fluffy in the mouth very smooth with light carbonation. Overall a very pleasant and well balanced brew. Odell is still one of my favorites.
