Odell Easy Street Wheat

Odell Easy Street Wheat

The beer is light in body and mild on hopping, but is not wimpy in taste. The yeast we leave in adds a delicate floral and citrus flavor and enhances the beer’s mouthfeel.

3.0 On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong fruit and wheat. Medium body, wheat, citrus, crisp, good.
2.7 12oz pour from bottle into shaker. Pours pale, hazy, yellow, with a very weak head. Nose of wheat, very straightforward. Light-to-medium body, dry. Taste is straightforward bitter, wheaty, not much complexity. I’m a bit disappointed, really. Odell normally does better than this.
3.0 Pretty forgettable pale wheat. Grainy mild citrus and pale malts. Light. There you have it.
2.3 Bottle, Not gonna waste a lot of words on this. Weak and thin palate, indistinct aroma, flavor had a chemical component to it that rubbed me the wrong way. This is not my idea of a good wheat beer.
3.8 Bottle. Pours clear light golden with nice white head. Nose slightly sour lemon. Taste is cracker and lemon. Nice mouthfeel.
3.3 On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a fair head. Aroma of grain, bit of malt sweetness and citrus. Taste of citrus, malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp clean and refreshing. Nice easy drinker.
3.1 Hazy amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of wheat, grain/hay, & some citrus; Flavor of malt/wheat, grain, some hops, and citrus; Not too bad.
3.0 Bottle. This seems like a Big Sean "I don’t give a f**k I don’t give a f**k, bitch I don’t give a f**k about you or anything that you do" beer. It’s a freaking wheat beer. What else can I say? Hazy golden color. Wheat and honey aroma. Flavor is Blue Moon plus, mild sweetness, lots of wheatness, not much in the way of hizzops. Easy street to brew and to drink, checking a box, yeah, tick for me.
4.5 A-. Pours a cloudy yellow color with white head. Tasty, has a good flavor and it is well balanced for an overall nice beer
3.8 Had a pint with pizza and my boys after we left new belgium- they biked and got a flat, i walked and was happy .. . hazy amber .. medium foam .. wheat, chaff, grain, and mild yeast .. went well with the pizza, a great wheat beer .. . .Give a cat a box, and he’ll play for a day Teach a cat to box, and are you sure you want to do that? Like, they’ve already got claws...
2.8 Draft pour pint at the Falling Rock. Finally made it here after years of curiosity. Thought this would be a nice early afternoon kick off beer. Rating from my notes. Pours a high fizz golden color with a full inch of lasting foam head. Sweet and slightly funky aroma. Flavor is fruity sweet up front, with a grainy wheat finish. Sweet, wheat finish that I would prefer to forget. Very light beer, but flavor was a little off putting. Beer was just okay for me.
3.7 Aroma is wheat/strong hint of wheat bread and spices. The flavor is wheat/wheat bread, citrus, very light hops, spices, medium body and a mildly tart finish.
3.3 Bottle. Pours hazy amber with thick and foamy off-white head, good lacing nose has lightly floral hops, just a touch of clove-like esters way in the background. Flavor is simple, a single note of creamy and grainy wheat with a single mild citrus hop flavor in the finish that brings some bitterness that lasts a bit after each taste. Good American wheat, refreshing, just enough hops to make it a little interesting - nothing groundbreaking, but it shouldn’t be, just to-style.
2.9 Sampled at Northgate Andover beer tasting. Mild wheat ale with some macro-lager notes.
2.3 12 oz. bottle. Pours golden with white head. Taste, wheat and a light bitterness.
2.8 Bottle. Light wheat beer, clear golden, moderate carbonation. Mild flavored and aroma. Not much special or memorable
3.1 On tap at local pizza place in Greeley. Light fruits, light wheat, light yeast. Decently tasty on a hundred degree day. 12.1
3.0 Notes from recent Denver trip. Hazy yellow pour, quick white head. Nose is wheat and yeast. middle is more soft wheat. Finish is flat. Meh.
3.4 Draft at Jack Quinn’s. Pours hazy gold with a thick, creamy off white head. Tastes like mellow citrus hops, light corn, wheat, breast malt. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like creamy wheat, light citrus, and some sweet corn, breast malt.
3.2 A good wheat beer not to hoppy plenty of yeast and malty flavors. I liked it would recommend.
3.9 A nice summer wheat, easy drinking. Little thin on taste on the back end. Clean with wheat and light citrus up front?
3.2 6/22/2015: Floral and wheaty, nice notes of lemon, drier finish, fairly average. Not remarkable, but this beer went pretty well with a Navajo Taco and cole slaw on a really hot 109 degree day in Mesa Verde National Park.
3.3 Draft. Hazy yellow orange color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus and raw bread. Taste is similar.
3.4 From a bottle at Carmine's. Pours a cloudy gold and makes a frothy head and substantial lacing. Aroma is of yeast, light citrus, and hops. Tastes of wheat, lemon, and bread.
2.3 Rated based on notes taken 13 Apr 2012 -- Had in Pueblo while at IFS. Not a fan. May have been the tap lines, but not a fan.
2.9 ~wheat malt scent slight banana ester. Noble spicy hop ~pours a hazy golden color with quickly disappearing white head ~wheaty malt flavor, slight fruitiness. Light spicy hop ~Medium light bodied, medium high co2, spicy hop finish ~easy to drink wheat beer. A bit boring, but then again this style usually is.
3.7 On tap at Steakout Saloon in FoCo. Pours a hazy orange color with white head. Wheat, citrus, yeasty flavors. One of the best American wheats.
1.8 Bottle. Slightly hazy light orange pour with a small white head. Unpleasant aroma of stale wheat, slight skunk. Light palate. Bland taste. Not digging this. Doesn’t appear that the bottle is very old, so I’m not sure what happened with this.
3.7 I had this at home. Pours orangish with a white head. Taste citrus, wheat, sweet. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again.
2.8 Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, faint sulfur, and lemon. It pours a cloudy orangish-yellow with a two finger white head that quickly fades to a thin soapy film. The flavor starts with a a quick dose of banana. The finish has citrus, faint lemon grass, and just a hint of sulfur. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, I’m not a fan of the sulfur in the aroma nor the lemon grass in the finish.
