You know those epic days that start with an idea, turn into a dare and end with a great story to tell? This is the beer for those days. Crisp and refreshing like any respectable session ale, but a bit more hop-forward and flavorful than some. Perfect for going with the flow.

2.8Light drinking, decent flavor, satisfying. Not one of my go to brews. Went great with steaks for lunch, shared 6 pack.
2.6Bottle thanks to secret Santa, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma generic malt and hop spice. Watery malt with faint hop. Not offensive but almost no flavor.
3.4Bottle. Hazy golden beer with a large white head. Aroma is spicy with notes of caramel, citrus, herbs, hay and leaves. Flavor is malty with notes of citrus, caramel, bread, herbs, grass and dough. Well balanced.
3.216 oz bottle. Clean and hop forward, some hay, not overly bitter. A bit one dimensional but easy and refreshing to drink.
3.2Draft at Coors Field. Pours hazy gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like faint lemon, dry toasted malt, faint citrus hops, grassy, and doughy. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like doughy malt, faint lemon, grassy, and faint citrus hops.
3.20,33l bottle from a gas station in NM. Pours clear golden with a low head. Aroma is grassy malts and hops. Flavor is grassy malts, some fruits and hops. Good pale ale.
3.3Tap at Pure Craft, Birmingham. I was left thinking this was a Pilsener: albeit a cloudy, tangy, grassy thick Pils. Nice Pils. On yeah, its not a Pils.
3.5Aroma is mildly dank hops, kiwi and a very slight hint of soap. The flavor is citrus, tropical fruit, standard weak/cracker-like malts for the style and a tangy/tart/slightly bitter finish.
3.3A good session. Has a descent aroma and good flavor. Have drank a whole lot already.
3.1Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden yellow pour with a thin white head, aroma has light pine with a hint of spice, taste has lemon tea, light pine, pretty basic stuff.
3.4Bottle @ Aaron’s Wedding Eve Shindig. Golden colored beer with white foam. Has a nice bit of grassy and leafy, floral hop character. A light piney bitterness along with some biscuity, bready malts. A touch of herbal hop character on the finish, too. Easy enough drinking, though a little more bitter than I’d like.
3.7Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with white head. It’s well balanced and refreshing
2.5Keg cuckfield in wanstead. Pretty boring carbonated ale. No distinctive flavours. Probably doable 20 years ago.
3.4Bottle 12fl.oz.
[ As Odell Loose Leaf American Session Ale ].
Clear medium yellow color with a small large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, grass, green grass, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140814]
2.2Pours golden with a foamy head. Aroma is weak but has hints of lemon. Taste is also weak, some cereal and malt but not much. Watery palate. A rare miss from Odell.
2.1Keg @ Oakford Social Club. Very unimpressed; would hope that’s down to the bar not the brewer. Rather hazy pale gold, not much noticeable aroma, slightly soapy taste, maybe a bit of lemon.
3.212 oz bottle pours Golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, floral and citrus. Taste is malts and citrus.
3.3Pours clear lemon-straw into the glass with a wispy head that leaves a thin ring of suds. The nose has a touch of grassiness, subdued. Flavors are cereal, lemon essence and a touch of grains, finishing with a light grassiness. Sparkling mouthfeel, active with a medium-light body. Well-balanced and perfect for summer, this is a session brew that gets the point across nicely.
2.6Very pale cear gold pour with a small white head. Not much in the nose-- cereal malt and very faint grassy hops. Light body, slightly soft. Mineral, somewhat yeasty. Mild hop bite mid to late palate. Tastes like an average pils. There are better choices for a session IPA.
3.3I imagine Odell Loose Leaf is a divisive beer for drinkers that have jumped onto the hoppy session beer bandwagon. Drinking it gave me two minds. In one mind, I loved its balance and drinkability. In the other, I wanted more hops. We’ll address that struggle in time. First, appearance. Loose Leaf pours hazy yellow with a fluffy head. Aroma reveals biscuit malt and some earthy yeast. There’s a dank hop note in there, but it’s buried under the other smells. Now, the flavor dilemma. Loose Leaf’s smooth malt body is a show-stealer. The hops? Not as much. I like the mild tropical note from the hops and their grassy flavors. (Yes, there is a certain fresh, leafy taste.) On the whole, though, I wanted more from the hops. I get that this beer’s balance and refreshing taste would be enough to put some people on cloud 9, but what can I say? I love my hops.
3.4Very easy drinking...great flavor for a low alcohol session beer...really nice job....(#529)...
3.7Sampled 6/21/2015. This session IPA pours a light yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, floral and herbal, a touch of sweetness, but mostly hoppy A light bodied ‘session’ IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and citrusy. Nice carbonation. A decent session ale. Lots of flavor for the amount of alcohol, it might suffer a little in body because of that alcohol level, but I will accept the trade off. Nice beer after a hot day. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
2.8Aroma is a light hoppiness. Kind of earthy. Pours clear gold with a nice head. Taste is pretty light. A bit sweet, nice hop balance. Light and bubbly.
3.412 oz pour from chilled bottle into nonic pint. Dark yellow and clear with a great fluffy white head and awesome lacing. Medium body. Creamy. A little oil finish. Nose is pine forest. Taste is similar with a little orange sweetness. Fairly unobtrusive. A bit bitter. Solid session beer.
3.2I’m always looking for a decent session ale. I would rate this as mediocre. The best thing about it is its appearance - beautiful pale golden pour with an excellent head. There’s just something a little off - it goes from pleasant to skunky and back and forth. If you want a great, drinkable session ale, try New Belgium’s Slow Ride.
3.6Bottle from Liz. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma seems floral/noble. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly malty with a pretty decent dose of hop - which seems to be grassy/floral. Not all that strong, but decent. Take it to the lake!
3.0Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy pale straw coloured with a thin white foamy head. It has a grassy, toffee and malty flavour followed by gentle floral citrus notes and a creamy vanilla finish.
3.3Earthy floral hop aroma with bready malt, light caramel.
Light golden color slightly hazy with lasting bubbly white head
Earthy hop flavor with bready maltiness, well balanced.
Light bodied with medium co2, quick hoppy finish.
Enjoyable easy drinking ale. Well balanced and interesting enough to ask for another
3.2Poured a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic pint glass at Jed’s party, thanks for sharing. Clear golden colour with sudsy white foam. Super grainy with just a hint of breadiness and sweetness, like a classic Pilsener. I’m not sure how they get away with calling this a Session IPA, though. It really wasn’t very hoppy, not even to the level of most flagship pale ales. Pleasant and drinkable, but overall mild impression. Light body, strong carbonation, dry finish.
