Gaia is our interpretation of a West-Coast I.P.A. An amber colored beer with the focus on resiny, piney hop varieties (Cascade, Columbus, Chinook, Centennial and a bit of Amarillo).

The looks of the beer are nice. It is a pale golden yellow beer. On top there is some frothy white foam. Foam retention is average. The beer is nice and cloudy. It has the real IPA looks.
The aroma of the beer is very nice. It has a nice malty base, some caramel notes, nice bready and biscuity touches. Firm and good base. The hops give the beer nice zest, some passion fruit, and loads of pine needles and some resin. It has these typical new world hop aromas, more robust but even more aromatic. It is very nice. It is both bursting with hops and moderate at the same time. Very nice.
The taste of the beer also is very nice. It has nice sweet malts, bitter hops, a nice hoppy sour note and some robust pine aromas. It is well balanced.
The palate of the beer also is nice. It has a medium body, slightly dry texture and medium high carbonation. The finish of the beer is filled with tropical fruity hops and robust pine aromas. Nice dry bitterness and slight acidity in the end. All in all, it is a very nice beer. Great IPA.

Aroma loopt weg met verse mandarijnen, passievrucht en sinaasappel-koekjes (jaja, die bestaan was niet).
Smaak is iets minder zoet, maar ook niet ultra bitter, mooi in balans en licht branderig in nasmaak. Ananas, sinaasappel extract en hint sherry. Niet teveel kraag (te koud geschonken?).

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Pours hazy golden with a lasting, thin, white head. Aroma of mandarin, apricot, dank peach, guava, young cheese. Taste has sweetish mandarin, guava, bitter grapefruit juice & mango, a bit dank & bready. Dyish, earthy, bit spicy hoppy finish, more dank fruit & a faint alcohol glow. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Good but not exemplary.

33 cl fles. Troebel goudblond bier met wit schuim. Geur: hop, zeer floraal, licht zoete zweem, ietwat fruitig. Smaak: hopbitter, floraal, wat agrum, zeste van sinaasappel, wat moutzoetigheid. Medium koolzuurprikkel.
I have purchased this bottle from one coop at Bern. Drinking and enjoying it, yesterday, at home, at Epalinges. The body is yellow/grey and troubled, sparkling carbonation, white foam. In my point of view, it is a right and robust ipa, aromatic side of hop, fresh hop, citrus, fruity, little side of pineapple, dry malt, well brewed.
Pours a hazy light orange with big off-white head and some lacing, piney hop aroma, taste is juicy and medium bitter, texture is on the thin side. Generic but well done.

On tap @ De Biertun, Amsterdam. Pours golden, with a creamy head. Aroma is tropical hops with mango, apricots and passion fruits, as well as citrusy notes and minerals. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tropical hops with mango, pineapples and passion fruit, as well as apricots and sweet citrusy notes.
0,33l pour at Oluthuone Leskinen. Slightly hazy golden with white head. Grape, resin, some piney notes. Pretty good.
Line and length modern IPA . Thick tropical fruits but quite a generic fruit profile. Nothing wrong here; just not memorable.
Tap at Konttori. Pours cloudy golden yellow with white head. Sweet fruityness, orange, light grapefruit, caramel, pine. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish.
Niet slecht. IPA met een vleugje boter en bloemem.
Hazy light gold. Large head. Aroma intensity 4/5. Dusty road, flowers and grapefruit aroma. Medium bitter, very light sweet. Light body. Spicy aftertaste

Wazig donkerblond / oranje met witte stabielere kraag.
Aroma: mooi tropisch fruitig (mango,...), hoppig. Medium body.
Smaak: zoetje, vooral tropisch fruitig, tikkeltje karamel, moutig, kleine koolzuurprikkel, aangenaam hopbitter die blijft hangen.
Prima bier, maar Oedipus heeft er meerdere die mij echt kunnen bekoren.
05.08.2019 -- 0.33l bottle from coop in bern, 3.50 fr. pours a cloudy golden with a dense head. aroma of sprucy and tropical fruity hops, mango, caramel. flavour of spruce, mango, toffee. not too sweet though. chewy mouthfeel. very nice.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianco sporco fine persistente, colore arancio chiaro torbido, al naso è intensa fresca frutto della passione uva resina agrumi, in bocca ricorda subito l’anguria poi pompelmo e uva, lieve solvente ma non disturba, corpo rotondo, astringente, carbonatazione moderata, lieve dolce con con amaro accentato lungo nel finale. Zart keksige aber auch saure Nase. Dazu etwas Schweiß. Im Geschmack recht süffig, starke Perlung, gewisse Früchte und ein halb bitteres Ende.
God og velsmagende IPA. Masser af humle og tilpas bitterhed. Dejlig fyldig øl, med god aroma.

Average beer bought at Coop
December 2018. Probably a can. Hot honey menthol and peach hops. Soapy floral and honey and lemon lozenge nose. Deep husk and grapefruit. Some Cointreau splashes. Let’s you know it’s there. Weighty, dusky orange amber. Full of lace. Chocolate orange crumbs on nose. Good perfume and waft. Mandarin and tangerine. Festive. Pretty solid but too malt heavy for me.
To quote Partridge: "very malty". Not my cup of tea.
Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een oranjeachtig bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is hoppig en bitter.
Typowy west coast. Dużo ziołowej goryczki. Trochę slodowosci i mniej owocowosci. Wraz z ogrzaniem bardziej czuć owoce. Wygląd mglisty z dość gęsta piana która jednak szybko spływa ze szkła. Wycenie średnie do wysokiego. Brakuje trochę jakby kleistosci, która nadalyby np. płatki owsiane
Aromat średnio intensywny, choinka , wyraźna słodowa podbudowa a w tle cytrusy, limonka.
Wyglad: złote, przymglone, opalizujące z średiopęcherzykowa białą piana.
Smak: ziołowo, nieco żywicznie, lekki karmel, subtelna słodowa podbudowa, goryczka wyraźna o średniej intensywonosći - ziołowa, długa. Nasycenie średnie, klimat west coasta zdecydowanie obecny.
