Oedipus Panty

Oedipus Panty

Panty we want to be a rich stout that is still an easy drinker. Roasted, caramelized and some rye malts enhance the body of this beer. Together with Cascade hops the flavours of Panty are mostly roasty, chocolately and licorice-like.

3.3 Bottle: Poured a black brown with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate and licorice. Taste is roasty malts, licorice, espresso, chocolate.
2.6 Esta cerveza es una Stout. Con aroma a malta totstada y levadura. Sin embargo el aroma a levadura me pareción más intenso de lo aceptable. Por otro lado, no encontré un sabor a café o grano tostado tan intenso como esperaba.
3.4 Dark ruby with a light tan head, roast malt chocolate aroma, medium body, slightly sweet roast malt, chocolate and some coffee
3.6 Pours deep reddish black tan head. Slightly oily, aroma is roasty, a little baked, spiced fruit. Flavour is chocolate and prune, peppery spice and treacle. Fruitiness lingers, with a cocoa bitterness.
3.4 [33cl bottle from Beer52.] An opaque black pour with a thin beige head; tarry aroma; tasting of deeply roasted grains, but also rather sweet; then tar and sweaty leather to finish. A bit of a wake up stout.
3.3 Solid, traditional stout.
3.5 33cl bottle via Beer52: Bottled on 4th May 2020, poured into a thistle shaped glass at home on 14th Jul 2020. Beige head on a black body, looked good. Roasted malty nose and taste with chocolate and coffee flavours to the fore.
3.6 Smell of roasted malt, tar. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, tar, ash, burnt sugar. Dry palate. Bitter.
3.7 33cl bottle at home, as a birthday gift. Appearance: pitchblack with a medium sized beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, some rye, molasse, dark bread crusts, and some coffee in the back. Taste: moderate sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of rye, dark sugar syrup, bready, coffee (grounds) in the back. Palate: medium bodied, slightly sticky texture and moderate carbonation. Overall: Strong bitterness and malty in general. Pretty good classic stout.
3.8 Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and caramel. Pours almost black color with large soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light to medium sweet roasted malt and caramel, follows by dark chocolate, licorice, cereals and herbs, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium to full body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pantyless party...
3.3 Bottle.Black colour with small beige head.Aroma of licorice and caramel feels bit dusty with hint of malt and cocoa.
3.2 Tap (Metenis2018, Riga) (6:4:6:3:13=3.2) Sweet marshmallows sweetness and fruity aroma. Light palate. Light roast malts in the taste, but seems like sugars were added rather than ramping up the malt bill, as it's a bit bland. But decent, and the alcohol's covered decently.
3.6 Roast Dark Chocolate. Nice cacao nibs nose touch.
3.6 Botelski. Black like colour, medium light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt and chocolate, sweet. Good palate. Roasted malt and chocolate in the flavour along with dark bread and caramel too. Well balanced. Medium bitterness. Nice brew.
4.1 Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a pint glass. Opaque but clear ruby brown colour, tall frothy tan head, dissipating slowly, good lacing; aroma roastedmalt, coffee, cocoa, leather, dark fruit; taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee notes, dark berries; roasty bittersweet chocolate finish; very pleasant and well-made dry stout, excellent.
3.3 Keg at the brewery taproom Amsterdam. A jet black coloured pour with a fading halo of tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, apple, green berries, soft roast, brown bread. Flavour is composed of light roast, black malts, apple, light Ash, apple,. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation.
3.7 Draught at Ealing Beer Festival 2019, black with a thin tan ring, coffee, black treacle and liquorice nose, rich and burnt-dry, bittersweet and malty, dark and roasty. Mmm...
3.7 Bottle 0,33L. Pours very dark brown color with medium big, creamy, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, caramel, brown sugar, mild coffee. Light bitter taste with coffee and milk - quite simple. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, chalky finish.
3.8 Lækker og velsmagende stout. Masser af fylde. Tilpas bitterhed og sødme. God aroma.
3.8 Almost black with small beige head. Aroma with coffee notes. Roasted bitterness on mediumy sour background with roasted grain and coffee notes.
3.6 0.33l bottle. Pours Black with creamy brown head. A: fruity, light coffee, T: full body, roasted caramely light coffee Taste, honey, creamy texture, Bitter aftertaste, stone fruits
2.0 (nez hoppy (!), bouche moussue (trop), ensemble pas assez malté (très claire, pas de corps), trop hoppy pour une stout)
3.6 Black with a dark brown head - Malt aroma with some roasted notes - Malt body with some roasted notes with hints of chocolate and coffee with some bitterness - The dark malt and chocolate with coffee and bitterness goes into the finish - This was good
3.6 Draught at The Euston Tap, Euston, London. Black with beige head. Rich and fruity stout from the off, hopped with tropical fruits and blackberry notes. Full on the palate. Really very decent.
4.0 Fles 33cl thuis. Laurier, bitters, koffie, zoettonen, citrus, hoptonen, rogge, flink roasted malts, carameltonen, droog, ver weg lichte rooksmaak. (26-1-2019).
4.1 Full bodied with an oily texture. Chocolate, strong roasted malt and nutty flavours along with coffee, dark fruits and caramel. Nutty finish. Very good
2.9 has the basis of a very good stout unfortunately they do seem to have americanized the idea and turned it into yet another trendy Craft Beer instead of a nice traditional Stout. the base of the drink is very nice and flavoursome but then there is this overpowering taste of hops which is rather misplaced with within a stout. my second complaint would be the amount of gas which in my opinion is way over the top. this would be at least an 8 Out of 10 drink if they notched back the hops and gas. I am currently really pissed off about the state of beers after the American craft beer Revolution has made the world follow it's general idea of more is better rather than balance is best.
3.4 Bottiglia.
Goede smaak, klein beetje chocolade. Lekker.
