Oedipus Thai Thai

Oedipus Thai Thai

Bottle: Unfiltered
Spicy Tripel
In our effort to make a tripel a bit more exciting than most examples out there, we decided to spice it like a Thai dish. Lemongrass, Galangal root, coriander, orange peel and chilli pepper blend in with some exotic latehops in this tripel.

3.7 This beer is just done right. Very nice twist on a tripel. Not really spicy at all, but the phenols are spot on. Not super belgian yeast driven flavour, complemented nicely by whatever they add. Oedipus Amsterdam
3.0 Très bonne triple, dommage on a du mal à distinguer le piment du reste..
3.6 Bottle 33cl. Hazy yellow with a white top that fades quickly to a thin layer. Aroma is dry with hints of yeast. And it is indeed a little bit spicy as the label on the bottle predicts. The taste is bitter with touches of grain. The spiciness is absent in the taste. Little development in the aftertaste, but it leaves you with a fresh bitterness. Not so special as you would expect from the description on the label, but not bad at all.
3.7 Bottle. Pours golden, slight haze, small head. Aroma is sweet malts, slight caramel, light hops, vegetal spice. Medium body. Flavour is malty and quite sweet, light lemongrass and spice, hint of vegetal heat. Herbal hops and some grass, booze. Pleasant.

Lichte trippel.
3.8 Heerlijk! Lekker pittig
3.7 Lekkere triple
3.8 Spicy, coriander, fresh lemongrass, hazy golden, peppery, coriander, bit yeasty, some banana, medium body, average carbonation, highly drinkable for 8%.
2.5 Aug 2020. 330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from Beer52. A spiced tripel. Hmmm. A good tripel doesn't need spice. This is sweet and fairly nice. The spices are an unnecessary distraction. But, ho hum. Anyway drinkable, but would have been better without the flavourings. [2.5]
4.2 Beer 52. Lovely Belgium style. Triple. Not taste 8%. Great
3.9 Aroma malt and a hint of lime. Pours golden with a light foam. Taste; balanced sweet malt, slight lime and a hint of lemon grass. A really drinkable beer and you wouldn't guess it was hitting 8% strength. Nice sipping beer!
3.6 Bottle. Cloudy amber-gold with a small head. Aroma and taste is coriander and lemongrass. Nice beer.

3.4 Bottle. Lemongrass, coriander, ginger tea. Spicy-herbal taste, a bit more body than a regular tripel. Very tasty.
4.6 Lekker, basis smaak typisch Tripel maar niet te zwaar, leuk kruidig, beetje romig.
3.0 Strong lemongrass
3.5 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours classic loaded gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is nice and fresh, grassy, some lemongrass. Body is fairly dense, with intense carbonation. A little stickiness. Taste is medium-high sweet, but a nice spicy character. The alcoholic feeling is even stronger than the actual alcohol level. Final is average.
3.2 On tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Holland. A golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, citrus, orange, coriander, spice aroma and taste.
3.0 Bottle. Golden color with a fine head. Flavor is juicy malts, sugar and chili pepper, ginger, coriander. Body is relatively solid with a low carbonation, juicy, smooth finish, spicy. A funny one, weird.
4.6 Purchased at La Bodega from Riverside, California for $5.99, Thai Thai is a spicy tripel with Thai flavors crafted by Oedipus Brewing from Amsterdam, Netherlands. The aroma of Belgian yeast, lemongrass, and orange peel are noted as you drink. The appearance is an orange amber with a low white head. The alcohol content is 8%. Belgian yeast creams the body followed by a chili complexion. Ginger spices the take and lingers into the slightly dry finish. Lemongrass livens the complexion and compliments the ginger. Orange peel flavors the yeasty and lemony composition. Coriander adds tone to the Belgian yeast profile. Malted barley is distinguished with the orange peel finish. Thai Thai is an appetizing spicy Tripel. The Belgian yeast, ginger, lemongrass, orange peel, chili, and coriander sets this beer apart from the market. The chili and ginger are gentle and beautifully accent the body. At room temperature, the orange peel becomes prominent to the yeasty mouthfeel. The water quality is excellent and brings out the chili flavor. I enjoyed drinking this beer and impressed by its depth. Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer. 3.7 Bottle at Cafe Cuba in Amsterdam. Hazy orange with a small white head. Citrus, incense, and coriander aroma. Fruity, lightly herbal taste. Softly carbonated, slightly dry, and a little sweet.
3.6 On tap at Vihreä Haltiatar. Pours golden color. Aroma of citrus, coriander, spices, sweetness, orange peel. Medium body spicy and sweet, good tripel.
3.7 Keg at the brewery tap Amsterdam. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is floral, ginger, ginger fragnant, lemon, floral citrus. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, hint of sorachi, dried cittus. Galangal, some alcohol. Palate is semi crisp spicy, moderate carbonation.
1.2 Lovely aroma, zesty taste BUT full of sediment. I could only have a sip otherwise I would have been ill if I had taken more. What a disappointment.
3.4 Bottle courtesy of Mallorn via the RB EU 2019 trade. Amber with a frothy to creamy white head. Aroma full of lemons, spices and mandarines. Taste is mildly bitter, dry, warming, fruity, with a bit of an alcohol bite at the end. Good.
4.5 Lekker fris zomers bier, citroen/sinas, zachte afdronk
