3.5 Bottle at Bunk Bar. Pours lightly hazy orange with a large, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is fruity, herbal, and woody hops with light cracker malt, and clean. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness with light sweet malt, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
3.6 Bottle at Bunk Bar. Cloudy golden color, fluffy off white head with good retention. Nice earthy and bready aroma. Taste is bitter bready spice.
2.6 Poured from bottle, golden with medium white head. Aroma with notes of bread, caramel and grass. Taste is bitter sweet, somewhat refreshing but not great.
3.4 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a diminishing white head. Aroma is flowers, elderberry, piss, citrus, and some herbs in the late finish. Taste is near moderate bitter and light sweet. Body is light+, texture is mild creamy and carbonation is moderate. Finishes hoppy, bitter and dry. Packs a surprisingly amount of flavor - not bad at all.
3.4 California Common? Pours clear yellow with a small white head. The nose is a bit strange, has some piss and bread. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, little sweetness and solid bitter without being overdone. Dry finish. Flavour has flowers, piss, bread, citrus and a herbal finish. Ok.
3.1 bottle, lighter amber pour, malt forward, cereal notes. caramel maltiness, light bitterness, easy drinking, ok
3.4 500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Clear golden-yellow in colour with a long lasting white head, good lacing. Aroma is a bit fruity, some citrus hops, wheat with some malt sweetness. Flavour is lightly bitter, light juicy hop bite, some underlying caramel malt sweetness. Lightly bitter and dry mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes hoppy, quite dry, lingering. A total surprise this was, very refreshing.
3.7 Pours a clear orangish copper with a small white head that leaves little lacing. Aroma of sweet pale malts, cereal, fruity esthers and a touch of spicy wheat. Taste is sweet pale malts, fruity esthers, spicy wheat and a crisp bitterness. Dry finish with a perfect medium high carbonation finish this off nicely!
3.5 This actually one of the best lagers I’ve ever had. Not usually my style of choice but this has great flavour and aroma while still being refreshing.
3.0 33cl bottle at The Laundromat café, Reykjavik. Pours clear deep golden with a lasting, off-white head. Fairly fruity aroma with some floral notes, pale malt and hints of honey. Moderate sweet with mild, but pleasant fruity flavours and soft bitterness in the finish. Pleasant.
2.8 Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a white head that leaves an ok lacing. Aroma: Hoppy, some butterscotch and fruity. Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a moderat bitterness. Average carbonation. Taste: Fruity, mild citric hoppy, mild malty and mild herbal. Overall impression: Decent and ok. Still a little bit boring ale. Personal stats: Bottle at The Flying Barrel in Göteborg, Sweden
2.5 3rd May 2014 Bottle in my Copenhagen hotel room. Thanks again to Rune, such a generous lovely Ratebeerian. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Light airy malt, some floralness. Trace of apple tang and a touch of paper. Light airy finish. Not great.
2.8 Nose is wet lawn, leaves, damp clothes, red grape whiff, feel is mediumbroad, taste is bread, rosehip, sweet red apple peel, club soda note, late mellow hops
3.5 Bottle., at Jomfruin in Reykjavik. Surprised to see that it’s a California common style! Delicate florals and clean pale malts. Very enjoyable, surprisingly aromatic.
3.2 Flaska 33cl från Systembolaget. Guldfärgad. Lågt skum. Smak lätt karamell, fruktig, citrus.
4.0 Very rich and flavorful with an almost perfect balance of hops that highlights the creamy malt base.
3.2 @ Havregatan. Flaska från Den Nordiske Ölhandel, Köpenhamn. Maltig och ganska fruktig, en aning citrus, russin, halm/gräs, söt, bra beska, len, medelfyllig. Fruktig avslutning.
3.2 Bottle 0.33l. Pours dark golden with minimal white head. Aroma is grainy, grass, bread. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet, fruity, some dust, malty. Soft carbonation. Balanced aftertaste. Not bad.
3.5 Above average, but nothing special as i remember it. Citrus and forestry-aromas from the hops with some malt sweetness.
3.4 Amber and bright. Earthy cascadey aroma. Mod bitterness, earthy cascades and clean, mild pale malts and s hint of caramel.
3.3 330ml Bottle - Dark golden in colour. Yeast, tea, citrus and some earthy notes in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with citrus, grassy hops, tea and malt detected.
2.9 Bottle, 1919 lounge, Reykjavík. Light chestnut colour, light carb, thin white head. Nose is hoppy with some grass and wet hop, touch of wet blanket. Mouth is initially a bit of hop, immediately overwhelmed by biscuity malt which builds and builds over the hop, towards a dull malty finish. Bipolar in its offering. ---via BeerBuddy
3.2 On tap at Crowbar, january 18th 2014. Light amber body, white head, quite fizzy. Citrus hoppy aroma with crisp malt, grain, slightly citric taste, sweet malt, with an acidic finish. Quite refreshing.
2.6 Bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard. Light amber colour with a small white head. Light bitter malty taste. Hops and some caramel notes too. A bit dry finish.
3.0 Appearance: medium dark golden color, with white small head. Aroma: some citrus. Flavour: little bit bitter, caramel after taste.
3.2 How: Bottle. Where: Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Appearance: Golden colour with a small off-white head. Aroma: Hops, malt, some citrus and caramel. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Caramel, fruit, hops.
2.4 Bottle. Clear amber with a short white head. Dirty nose of stale American hops and concrete mix yeast byproducts. Oxidized nut and starch-flavored malt (mostly pale, some amber) and cosmetics / makeup / chemicals noticed. Lightly sweet, thin body, quick finish of stale resin / pine / peanut-flavored hops. Unfresh sample from the store, so I want to believe it’s usually better than this.
2.2 OK but seems a bit boring at the end of an evening. Some hops but would likely be better as a first beer of the evening.
3.3 Bottle thanks to my bro. Clear amber pour with thin white head. Aroma of light, honeyed, fruity malts and wildflowers. Taste is rather sweet, malty, very light hoppy presence, toasted malt finish. Palate is a strongpoint, the maltiness gives a nice full body, but it finishes rather dry still. Not bad.
3.3 33cl, exclusive Icelandic brew, thx alot to Tom for bringing this over!, complex brew, malty/floral and slightly bitter/sweet, easy to drink, balanced, clear, small head, nice brew
