1.2 It’s called beast for a reason, good if you feel like drinking thirty beers and don’t care
1.3 Can: Light, clear gold with a huge, white cloud of a head. Sweet grain aroma. Taste is soft, watery...grain malt. Pretty bland...but Man, do I feel hydrated!
0.8 Serving: 12 oz. can. I could guess the color is piss yellow, but I drank it straight from the can as one should. What can you say about Beast Light? It tastes like watered down piss. But you can pound a case of them and still not be drunk. Preferred by discriminating college students over Natural Light.
1.7 Very light yellow with a white head. Aroma is grain. Flavor is grain. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Bland and boring.
1.1 Quite a bit worse than the non light version. It just doesn’t look right not in red on the can...
0.9 12oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with a half finger of white head. Aroma of light grains. Taste is light bitter. Mostly grains with a dry, slightly powdery texture. Fizzy. Meh, kinda bad even for a light beer.
1.4 12oz can 4/5/13 Retro Brand Mixed Six (Binny’s Plainfield)-40° in Mug-Pours a very light golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn and grains. Taste of slight corn and malt. This light bodied brew is another sad light beer.
1.7 Slightly grainy/bready nose. Light yellow pour with weak white head. This is by far the most watery light beers I’ve ever had. Almost no flavor whatsoever! This is perfect for people who don’t like beer but want to pretend they are drinking beer. I had this with a tin of sardines and some saltines. A cold beer completes that trifecta of pleasure. But this doesn’t count as beer as far as I’m concerned. It’s not that it tastes bad (it doesn’t) it just doesn’t really have any taste at all. NONE! ZIP! @ 3.9% it also is a failure as an alcohol delivery system. Cheap, though. I paid $1.99 for a sixer of 12oz cans.
1.4 It is what it is, cheap ass beer. Drinkable and below average. If you expected something else you are a fool.
0.5 A thinner watery version of the regular Old Milwaukee... why bother? Some lagers are meant to be drunk from a can, and this is one of them. Pours a pale piss yellow with absolutely no head. Faint corny grainy aroma. Thin, watery industrial swill with a faint hint of malt. No discernable hops, average carbonation. Incredibly bad, drain pour. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
1.6 Didn’t have many choices in the middle of rural SD so I ordered a couple. Only positive I can say about it is I think it’s a small notch above Miller/Bud/Coors. Got some grainy funk that’s not off-putting, but overall just an incredibly tasteless, watered down version of a beer.
1.0 Probably as good as any of the cheap, high volume light beers. Chill it to the point of freezing and it is ok.
3.5 Old Milwaukee Light has a thick, stark-white head, a clear, bubbly, straw appearance, and a surprisingly good amount of residual lacing. The aroma is faint sweetness and grain, and the flavor is the same, and it has almost no hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Old Milwaukee Light finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, dry, and ultra drinkable. Overall, for what it is, it’s a very good beer. RTJ
1.4 Can to glass shaker. Pours a light yellow with a moderate white head. Decent lacing. Really watery and is just typical of any / all light beers.
0.6 Aroma is a very cheap beer. Taste is almost non existent with a little worse taste than carbonated water. On the bright side, it’s beer.
2.0 Can. Über carbonated pale yellow with surprising big white head. Faint grain scent. Like drinking water. Sampled very cold. Some grain alcohol hints but essentially rather bland.
1.1 12 oz can pours yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt and a bit of citrus. Taste was the malt and not much else.
1.4 12 oz can on a 104 degree day. It tastes like slightly corny and sugary mineral water. Slight barley taste. No hops to speak of. It isn’t horrible but there is literally close to no flavor. Drink it with at least an hour in the freezer on it.
1.1 12oz can - pours light and yellow with white head. Flavor is corn and cardboard. WOW! Very light and more light.
1.0 355ml can. Yellow colour, weak white head. Light nose with sweet grain. Taste has weak grain notes, watery. Dry finish, light metallic note. Fizzy with a light body. More enjoyable than most lights but overall pretty pointless. Swilled while camping at Elk Island.
1.7 Fratto party favor. Pours with a clear, pale, yellow hued body with a fading white head. Aromas of corn, mild DMS, seltzer water. Dry. Not very characterful. Flavors are watery and dry, mild grainy. Lively bubbles, watery dry. Pretty inoffensive light beer.
1.6 Can thanks to Fratto...pours straw yellow, white fizzy head. Aroma of faint, clean, light grain with just a touch of grass. Flavor is much the same and dry, very clean.Light, watery body with very high carbonation. It is what it is.
1.6 (12oz can, courtesy of Fratto) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of corn, mustiness, and light soap. Flavor of corn, grass, and grain with a clean finish. Honestly, one of the less offensive lagers that Fratto has shared.
1.8 canned, thanks to fratto, almost clear pour , slight hint of grain or corn, almost flavorless, watery finish
1.5 (12oz can thanks to fratto) clear, no color, wispy white bubbles though. Nose of stale malt, rrrice, taste is much of the same, watery, and just nothing here. Seltzer water. It is carbonated, and that is its only saving grace.
2.0 Twelve of cans from Laurissa. America’s best tasting beer and I can’t wait. I’ve been looking for this wale forever. Appearance in a white can with blue lettering. A small white head creeps out of the can’s wide-mouth. Aroma is tinny, vaguely sweet, and old grains. Taste is watery, metallic, and fairly flavorless. Clean finish. Eleven more to go!
4.0 Drank straight out of the can. No appearance this time but I’ve poured this beer before and it is a light yellow typical of light lagers. The smell is light corn and grain and I swear I smell a little bit of hops in there. Taste is much like the smell. A light cereal grain with just a hint of corn on the back end. There is very little hop presence but it is there a tiny bit. The finish is completely clean and leaves you wanting another drink. A friend turned me onto this beer and I’m very glad he did. It is a step above other mass produced light lagers and is one of the best values out there.
1.5 Had this left over from a summer cookout. I bought a case for those who were afraid to try the craft beer I had. Aroma was next to nothing. Just some funky lager smell. Pour was a nice enough light, clear gold with a one finger white head. Taste was like water. A little sweet in the beginning but washed away with a clean water flavor. No aftertaste or anything to remind you that you just took a sip of beer. Blah
1.0 I can’t believe I forgot to enter this earlier. Cheers to my father-in-law, his beer of choice (I think because it was cheap). Well, it tastes and smells like a watery adjunct laden macro lager. Serving: Can
1.9 Originally rated December 2006. The one we get here is brewed by Strohs Canada (which is basically Sleeman’s). It is brewed at 4% (woohoo ! 0.1% more than in its home country). It pours a light yellow colour with a white fizzy head, that has not bad retention, and small amount of lace. Carbonation is pretty active, but only sticking to the middle of the glass (very weird). Aweful chemical nose, but at least it don’t smell like water. Smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel. Taste of rusty water at first kicking into a corn finish with hardly any aftertaste. Maybe light malt. Not a horrible beer, but I would prefer having an Amstel Light before this one (or even a Miller Lite).
