3.5Can, from City Swiggers. Pours hazy dark yellow with foamy large off-white head, citrus aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel-unripe mango taste, thin body, long citrusy finish. Well balanced and easy to drink.
4.4Best local IPA by far, comparable with tip brewers nationally. On tap at the basement burger bar in detroit. Hits on all the Points and checks the boxes for a smooth and delicious take on this ale. Just enough bitterness.
3.5Golden, hazy with a medium white head. A hoppy aroma with some tropical fruit sense. Light bitter with a soft juicy fruit end.
bb 03.2022. From Vinmoonopolet Tromsø 09.2021
3.8On tap at Knot Just a Bar. It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of hops, citrus and florals. The taste was similar to the aroma with more hops, citrus, florals, tropical fruits, grass with medium carbonation and a nice bitter sweet aftertaste. Good stuff.
4.4Can from Cask and Craft; murky amber pour with a bubbly off white head, aroma has strong pine and peach, taste has fresh pine, crisp citrus, some peach, light bitterness, first beer from this brewery and it has blown me away.
3.40.473 l can shared with PH Pit and the kids at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Hazy pale orange, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, harsh at first, citrusy, lemon zest, orange, a touch of grapefruit, apricot. Quite soft, juicy, slightly bitter. A bit bland. Lemony. Tart. Light finish.
3.7Canned 7/30/21, drunk 8/14/21.
Moderately hazy, not thickly-so, bronze-golden-maize with a small, white head that quickly dissipates.
Great mix of yellow fruit, pine, citrus juice and honey-like malts, with a hint of caramel and alcohol warmth. Clean and without any obnoxious overly-yeasted character (no big bubble gum).
Soft and malty in the mouth, with good attenuation. A fair bit of acidity and caramel-like character depart from a traditional NEIPA, yet it's still quite juicy and very soft. I like the cleanliness and crispness, with snappy acidity and soft but dry malt character. Maybe a touch too alcoholic and piney, but it's a good departure from the norm. Fruity and juicy character lingering.
4.1Aroma, yet after almost 2 months from its canning date, is incredibly rich of hop goodness, a lot of fruit: peach and yellow fruits, tangerine and citrus, tropical notes.
Hazy orange, medium frothy white head, high retention and lacing.
Medium to high bitterness, but with a sweet perception and juiciness from the hops, flavours as from the nose. Dry finish.
Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, medium body and carbonation, easy drinking.
This is one of the highly ranked NEIPAs around, although maybe not the most hyped, but to me it's just one of the very good ones that are very similar to each other. One of those who led me, and other people like me, to feel bored, not with this style, but with the overwhelming offer of hazy IPAs. This doesn't make justice to great brews like this.
4.5This beer is absolutely incredible 😍juicy hazey love beer is very well rounded. Citrus and hops match perfectly what a brew
3.5Pours deep hazy gold into a shaker. Fluffy white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Dusty tropical fruit skin aromas. Soft with tangerine and lime upfront turning to hot caramel in the medium length finish.
3.7Can. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, tangerine, grapefruit, grassy hops. Flavor of citrus, fruity hops, tangerine, tropical fruits, floral hops. Nice and citrusy.
7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)
4.2The aromas are fresh citrus hobs with dry grain and pale malt. Flavors are like nose, juicy citrus that is slightly sweet up front balanced with great carbonation and nice bitter. Excellent body and finish. Could drink a lot of these.
4.3Appearance: cloudy yellow; slight head
Taste: nice grapefruit flavor
5/31/21 - West End Tavern (Traverse City,MI)
3.7More from the backlog... Pours hazy pale yellow. It has a very citrusy aroma with grapefruit and orange. The flavor is sweet and citrusy with a hoppy finish. There’s grapefruit, orange, and hop resin. Medium body. It’s quite good but I’m not convinced it’s $9 a pint good.
3.7Hazy deep gold with a two-finger head. Aroma was grapefruit with hints of spruce. Taste was also grapefruit with a slight pine resin. Pretty good.
5.0Heavy Pineapple on the nose and throughout leading up to the aftertaste. Smooth, with a nice hoppy bitterness at the tail end of each sip. Not too bitter, but just enough where u really feel it. Medium carbonation. Amazing ice cold. A great introductory IPA for those who claim they don't care much for em'. 5/5 for me.
4.5Hazy at first look. This really shocked me as I'd never heard of it and found it on tap and now in cans locally in Indiana.
Aside from maybe 3 other IPA's this is a hidden gem.
2.6Very disappointed with this beer. I bought a 4 pack. Something about the flavor did not seem right. It was a struggle to finish the 4 cans. I had much higher expectations. Flavor did not appeal to me. Sorry!
3.8canned on 7/17/20 - nose is wat I can describe as my vague recollection of what Founder's Centennial smells like. Sip is juicy. not bitter. I would have loved this more 4 years ago and NEIPA' were still "fresh" - it's amazing how much less interesting a beer style is the 62nd time around - not te beer's fault it wasn't my introduction to the style. Crushable. Orange zest finish.
3.816 oz can. Pours muddy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium, creamy and slightly crisp. Taste is of citrusy hops, bready malt, ripe fruit, some lactose and wheat malt. Finish is long and slightly sour. Good brew.
4.7A very good hazy IPA. Has a mango citrus IPA taste. It is a very interesting beer. It’s a fun beer. A little pricey but good. Go for it!
4.6Brownish straw pour with short lived head. Aroma is biscuity and citrus. Taste follows nose perfect balance.
4.2Cloudy pale burnt orange pour with a three finger chunky white head. Aroma of super juicy citrus, spicy citrus, a light and sweet dankness, straw, pale malt and a bit bit of cereal. Flavor is sweet berry and citrus fruit, some mashed tropical fruit, bitter citrus, a hint of vanilla custard, spicy citrus. Medium body, slightly syrupy, slightly chalky, but mostly creamy, light carbonation. Really good stuff, it gets a bit hard to pick individual notes out after a few ounces, but it remains delicious. Maybe a little bit too sweet and under carbonated.
3.8Can from JPs pour hazy avg gold thin white head. Nose tropical fruit, light dank, some resin. Taste light to moderate bitter up front. Pineapple, mango, citrus, resin
3.4Can. Hazy amber beer with a cream head. Tropical fruit aroma. tropical fruit and light citrus flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and light citrus linger.
4.116oz can consumed on the house patio. Heavy haze and golden color. Minimal head. Aroma is tropical fruit with almost peppery characteristics. Taste is tropical fruit with citrus rind bitterness playing a role. Mouthfeel is super soft and well made. Citrus rind and resin bitterness. Surprisingly easy to drink. Definitely coming away impressed. Spot on rendition of the style.
3.6Pint, canned 06/01/20. Opaque, rusty orange colored brew with lasting film of beady foam. Aroma of soured orange, pineapple, lemon, resin and garlic. Flavors of the same, plus some white pepper, pretzel and citrus pith. Light-medium bodied with a little too much fizz and astringency for my tastes.
3.5Orange and some green onion. Pours hazy golden with good head and lacing. Tangy finish. About two months old. Tall can.
3.4Can from other Chris: pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is orange and some tropical fruit. Taste is herbal and fairly bitter. The fruitiness of the nose does not come through as well as it ought. Middling.
