3.5 Tobacco and perfumed florals. Quite sweet. Brown pour with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Dates. Bottle at Duplex.
3.7 Yellow pour with medium head. Yeasty, creamy mouthfeel, sweet and tones of bananas
3.4 Robe brune. A du corps. Est plutôt sympa tu en bouche. A recommander.
4.0 Bruik bierke, heeeel goe, zowa koffie, karamel...
3.8 Bottle. Brown pour with a beige head. Nose of caramel, spices, toffee. Flavours of raisin, brown sugar, more caramel, brown bread. Very good.
3.2 Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a fading light beige bubbly head. Aroma is of caramel, nuts, bread, grains, brown sugar. Taste is of caramel, subtle spices, clove, chocolate, tobacco, figs. Light oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
3.8 Brown with a small head. Sweet to the point of being overpowering.Doesn't possess a lot of impact considering its strength. Enjoyed it but a bit too sweet for me-and I have a sweet tooth.
3.7 Robe brun foncé, mousse beige. Nez fruit cuit, légèrement citronné. Goût caramel, une pointe de chocolat. Longueur un peu faible.
3.4 Bottle from tosano. Dark brown color big effervescent offwhite head. Earthy aroma of toasted grains and brown sugar, hints of coffee and caramel. Ok belgian brown ale.
3.6 Bottle from Wijnegemse drankenhal, BBF oct. 2017, kept it in my cellar myself as a strong, dark ale for ageing. Poors milky, dark brown with decent mocha head. Aroma very abundant and clean: somewhat sweetish but nice caramel, dried plums, yeast, vanilla, spicy finish. Impression of an aged Oerbier I dare say. Taste more licorice, candi sugar, slightly metallic, fades away after a while though, again gentle but noticable spicy finish. Taste not of the same fullness as the aroma suggested, the disturbing carbonation doesn't help either. Pleasant yeasty, vanilla, plummy aftertaste. The taste of plums and vanilla lacks a bit of depth and appears rather artificial. This is not a quality quad but definately decent if you take your time of let the carbonation and metallic taste fade away.
3.5 Bottle. Pours hazy darkish copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of caramel and fruit. Sweetish flavour of yeast, malt and caramel, with notes of hops, coriander and nuts. Estery aftertaste with notes of spice and caramel. High carbonation, a little too high, actually. Otherwise decent.
3.5 Bottle, 9%. Metallic and very caramelly aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is sweet, caramelly and very spicy. Sort of like vitamin pills, but not as metallic as I had feared. High carbonation. Liquid candy... with alcohol.
3.4 Roodbruin bier met een stevige beige schuimkraag. Smaakt naar karamel en naar rozijnen. Heeft daarnaast iets licht kruidigs. Mooi geheel
3.3 Beerhouse (Madrid), botella, primera vez. Sabor: altamente carbonatada, malta tostada, caramelo, cierto regusto alcohólico nada desagradable. Buena belga.
3.5 Nov 2018. 330ml dark craft beer bottle, unfiltered, from BeerWulf. I do love a strong malty beer. So I love this. Hot fermentation as well. Low hops. This is proper beer. I could drink beers like this until the cows come home to roost.
3.4 The beer has got a deep dark ruby brown colour with a steady head and smooth body. Aroma of malt and plums. Taste of plums, prunes, barley, malt and bread. Smooth finish.
3.0 Roodbruin bier met veel zoetsmaken waaronder caramel. Het bier schuimt bovengemiddeld.
4.5 Birra brune classificata come belgian strong molto simile alle ricette Christmas. Molto decisa e particolare. Consigliata!
4.4 Hazy brown with a thin beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is malty, not too sweet, complex, spicy, very slightly boozy. I do like the high carbonation. Very good.
3.3 0.33 @ Beers Bank Dark brown color and a medium, off-white head. Bananas and marzipan. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, bananas. Medium, creamy, soft. Finish is medium long, some acetone. Overall, alright.
3.5 Bottle 33cl at home. Aroma of dark malts, fruits, caramel. Poured dark, brownred, not much head. Taste is mild sweet, matly, fruits. Lots of carbo, medium mouthfeel.
3.2 On tap. Black colour, frothy head that stays long, pretty lacing. Aroma is lots of caramel and liquorice, some alcohol. Medium sweet. Too sweet.
3.5 Fles 33cl thuis. Apart zoetje, rood fruit, rode bes, frissig . (8-2014).--.
Aroma intenso e complesso molto fine. caramello, frutta secca (datteri e uvetta), lievito belga, esteri di albicocca candita. pochissima luppolatura aromatica. Gusto dolce amabile, zucchero candito, caramello, chinotto, liquirizia, datteri freschi. finale leggermente amaro erbaceo.calda, liquorosa, corpo medio, non molto carbonata, equilibrata e molto armonica
3.6 .33l bottle poured a seethrough dark brown to red beer with thin diminishing soapy head. Nose is sweet; caramel; chocolate. Taste is malty; brown sugar, caramel; chocolate. Pretty good beer overall.
3.3 Some roasted malts, dried fruits, raisin, light licorice, bit watery. Light sweet with light bitternes. Drinkable, but nothing too exciting
