Ale brewed with Spices: Coriander, Cardamon, Mace, Grains of Paradise, Sweet Orange Peel.
Adoration is a traditional winter ale, brewed in the Belgian manner, but with the twist of unusual spicing. Sip it on a winter eve sitting before a fire. You’ll understand why we couldn’t name it anything else.

3.6Pretty light tasting for style and considering alcohol percentage, which is well hidden. Pours dark amber with God head and lacing. Light raisins. Some florals. Light sweet finish. Tap at rustico.
4.0Bottle. Packaged 9/11/14. Appearance: Light brown and clear with reddish/orange hue. Minimal cream colored foam cap.
Aroma: Orange peel, coriander, and Belgian fruity esters (apple). Hint of maltiness.
Taste: Rich caramel malt sweetness with intense spice and orange peel. Noticeable pear fruitiness and nutmeg like spice. Like a spiced quad. Just enough bitterness to balance the intense malt and spice flavors.
Mouthfeel: Medium body and moderately high carbonation with noticeable alcohol warmth.
Finish: Finishes malty with lingering spice, pear, and orange peel.
Overall: A really well done spiced quad. Orange peel, spices, and Belgian esters combine perfectly
4.512 oz bottle purchased at Haskells for March Madness. Consumed with commomshawn and rosskyle. Very appealing amber/plum color with a slight off white head. Aroma of dark fruit, sweetness, almost berries, and vanilla. Taste is in the realm of a Belgian quad with the malty sugars taking center stage with a strong supporting cast of dark fruits and alcohol. Mouthfeel is full bodied. Plenty of spices. Really impressive beer that seems like a perfect representation of the style. Great beer! This is a special moment for me in my rating career...#500. I’d like to thank all the people who helped get me here and am humbled by the opportunity to continue onward on the rating journey.
3.9Dark red amber color. Sweet raisin odor. Carbonated texture. Sweet raisin flavor that lingers.
3.4bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy amber brown, full beige head cover, sheets of lace. Aroma of caramel and spices. Taste is full-bodied toffee and malt that adds spice on the swallow, then moves to a finish where alcohol obliterates everything else. Tastes very strong, the warm staying in the throat long after the finish. Seems almost too much for a beer.
3.6Bottle. Brown pou with tan head. Sweet Belgian candi, spices and dark fruit aromas. Dark malts, some sweet tones, tons of spice flavors.
3.72015/02/08 - Pours a hazy amber/orange colour with a thin, khaki head that quickly dissipates. No lacing. Aroma is caramel, green apple, spices, orange, dark fruits and a hint of sweet booze. Taste is caramel, green apple, raisins, spices, mild metallic notes and sweet booze. Mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and a sweet , mildly warming finish. Enjoyable.
4.0Even-toned river brown, with a cm of tan head. Aroma is light creamsicle citrus, with notes of apple and tootsie roll. Taste is like that, but unexpectedly rich, with spicing that hides just on the other side of identifiability. Sweet up front, but finishes dry. Quite nice. $3/12oz
2.9For me, this is a miss. It’s not lush as a beverage (it’s more dense and steely in texture); it’s not florid & open in its aromas (most flavor comes from sourness and bitterness on the tongue), and the flavors are confused and unpleasant - - tree bark, aluminum, and dusty spice rack. It’s lean, metallic, and close to astringent.
3.812oz bottle. Poured a cloudy dark amber color with a huge off-white head, settles quickly, but remains a solid small white head. Aroma was dark fruits, some green apple notes. Boozy notes. Caramel, sweetness. Lots of boozy dark fruit notes.
4.3Aromas of cinnamon, dried berries, dry citrus, orange rind, cherry cola, pink cotton candy. Dark red-black with a lasting beige head. Spicy, fruity, strong. Medium-full bodied.
3.4I love this as a seasonal ale, but there are definitely Strong Ales I like more. That being said, the spicy character of this brew will definitely appeal to you if, like me, you enjoy spicy teas without honey.
3.5Bottle thnx to dad.
Pours dark clear copperbrown. Small white head.
Smell is sweet, liquorice. Taste is sweet, caramel, sugar, bit of bitterness.
4.5Ommegang Adoration has a thin-to-medium cream-colored head, very little lacing, a murky, rust-orange appearance, and lots of tan chunks floating about. The aroma is of assorted spices, spiced bread or cake, dark fruits, such as raisin, and low bitterness. Sweetness and alcohol abound. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Ommegang Adoration finishes semi-wet and somewhat boozy. RJT
4.6Pours amber to brown with fine, lacy head. Not overpowering in odor but pleasant, with stone fruit and malt predominating. Velvety moth feel. Sweet and rich taste. This is like a mild Quad. Very pleasant beer. Hides the hefty alcohol content well.
3.0Appears as the bottle design may have changed from what’s pictured. Not a huge fan if Belgian beers this one may be slightly above average but not with the price premium imo
3.3Wanted to like it more, but, to me, they overdid it. The variety and amount of spices led to a muddle. Either that, or I didn’t let it breath enough. I got the alcohol and some dark malt but my tongue became confused after that.
3.6Bottle from Total Wine. in Boca. Home pour in a snifter. Pours a deep black cherry stained wood with an excited two finger head. More fizzy than pillow. Aroma is caramel, coriander, orange zest, Belgian yeasts, and leather. The taste is similar with the spices and orange zest. Heavy carb...just a little much in my opinion. Very sprite carbonation. Finish is warm and yeasty.
4.6Tap at heyday in small goblet. Dark red with smooth white head. Alcohol and dark fruit in nose. Heavy dark fruit and alcohol sweetness. Nice smooth finish with a bit of spice. Excellent.
3.8Pours a ruddy, dark amber with a tan head and lacing. It has a complex spice aroma with corainder, cardamon, and orange. The flavor is malt and spices up front with a orange and spice sweet finish over a medium body.
3.9A mutky brown with a beige head. Aroma contains some wheat, orange, and spices. The flavor is malty with some chocolate, candy oranges, and spices. The aftertaste is a bit sour and malty. There is a very different taste to this beer I cant put my finger on. Is it grains of paradise? Overall good.
3.2Smells sweat, yeast, hints of fruit, and spice. Pours a muddied orange/brown. This starts out like many winter ales I have had, but the weird spicing is ruining it for me. Has some dark fruit flavors, a bit of citrus, with spice overpowering it at the end. Not a favorite from what I consider a decent brewery.
3.7Wonderful spices and sweet, clearly Belgian character on the nose comes from a lovely red-brown brew.
Lots of your standard Trappist stylings on the palate that seem to war a bit with the sweetness, delivering a full mouthfeel, high effervescence and a lingering spice on the tongue. Finishes a bit boozy and slightly out of balance but not in the least bit unpleasant.
No session brew, this spicy delight wants nothing to stand up to the coldest of winter chills.
3.5brown with a heavy haze and light caramel head an inch thick but fades fizzling quickly to nothing. Aroma is spice (nutmeg, cardamom, cloves) , dates, toffee, raisin, dried cherry, cranberry, pomegranate. Body is medium-heavy, oily-syrupy, with high carbonation and strong burn to balance it. Flavor is lots of spice, heavier on the licorice, nutmeg, coriander. Light raisin bread. Spices are most apparent on the exhale, which is also a bit hot. Bit of hop bitterness, which, combined with the spices, has a slightly medicinal note to it, a bit of wormwood even. This is growing on me. It would be an interesting challenge to brew a beer in which spice pervaded to this extent, yet I think the appeal is limited to the average drinker. Anyway, neato beer, well brewed (except for head retention) still, it’s not my favorite from Ommegang.
3.7Pours reddish mahogany with nice thick head. Nose is like a dubbel, ommegang yeast, dark fruits, bready, also holiday spices, candied orange peel. Taste matches nose, yeasty, dark fruits, lots of dark malts, a bit bready, spices. Extremely full bodied, abv hidden well. Overall a solid winter beer. Very flavorful, the ton of malt doesn't bother me like it usually would, balanced well with their spicy yeast.
4.0Bottle. Pours reddish cooper color with an off-white head. Spices, dark fruit and Belgian yeast in the aroma and taste.
3.3Pours a deep ruby color with off white head. Spice, malt, dark fruit, yeast , toffee, caramel and chocolate flavors and aroma. Medium full body and moderate carbonation. Spice and malt finish.
3.9Stay away if you don’t like spices in your beer. Dark fruit, Belgian yeast and an unusual but tasty blend of spices.
4.0On drought, poured a hazy dark copper/brown colour with a cream head that left Steady aroma of malt, dark fruit and trail notes of spice. Flavor was of spicy belgian yeast, dark fruits, cherries or raisin, with a warm alcohol finish.
3.8Lots of spices and a light citrus bouquet. Sweet malt, and a fine warming winter beer.
