Glimmerglass - The name given to our lake by James Fenimore Cooper - is a beautiful body. Nested between gentle mountains, it reflects any object held up to it, just as it reflects our joy at the arrival of each spring. To help celebrate, pour new spring saison offers a perfect balance of maltiness and hops, with a touch of yeasty fruitiness and a whiff of pepper.

3.9Aroma of cloves, lemon, fresh grass. Cloudy Golden color with huge fluffy white head, lasts forever. Sweet up front. Some lemon, candy sweet malt, with a nice yeast flavor. Bitterness is dry, peppercorns and mild hops throughout. Refreshing, light mouthfeel. Finish is smooth and balanced. Nice beer.
3.0Pours a hazy pale yellow with a gigantic head. Intriguingly tart while nicely balanced. Medium tartness, light sweet, light bitter. Apple/fruity and funky/Belgian-y and slightly earthy, metallic, citrusy, and spicy aromas.
3.9On tap at Bohemian Bull. Ommegang just can’t really go wrong with the saisons. Light yellow hazy pour. Classic saison notes that are nicely balanced and not over-the-top. Bit of spice and yeast and citrus and green grass- dry on the end. Just really well done. Tastes like spring, Cooperstown style.
3.9Glimmerglass ist gut. It’s tart and it’s as easy on the eyes as it is on the tongue. For a seasonal brew, it’s another strong product from the best brewery there is (that may be more of a subjective statement).
3.7Pours cloudy straw color with white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast with some grass, lemon, and spices. Grassy, fruity, and doughy flavors with some spices. Light to medium body with lively carbonation.
3.6hazy orange 2 finger yellowish head. smells really good. a strange spice like chamomile or aloe? maybe thyme as well? the spice dominates the flavor but it’s still a solid beer would have it again
3.1Copper color with white head. Faint aroma of caramel and herbal notes. This beer is earthy as like the earth. Some caramel and citrus. Malty flavor with caramel an citrus. This is OK I expect a bit more from Ommegang. Overall not impressed.
3.7Bottle. Pours a light golden color with a thick head. Aroma of citrus, light fruit, yeast and spice. Taste of yeast, citrus, fruit and bit of pepper. Tart bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp with clean feel. Enjoyable beer.
3.6(En fût à The Barn): Légères épices, gingembre, agrumes et un aspect ferreux, sulfureux même minéral. Très bon sans être transcendant.
3.3Aroma and flavors of fruit, wheat and pepper. Slightly sharp finish with a light body. Pretty color. Nicely done.
3.5On tap in pint glass. Light copper color, off white head. Nice spices, oranges, on the nose. Light body, sweet, medium carbonation. Good.
3.7A slightly peppery and dirty funkiness underscores this enticing farm beer. Finish is both grassy and some of that detached, non-hop bitterness that we have come to expect with this style. Nice and refreshing.
3.4Good drinking summer saison, from Premier Gourmet. Fresh, smooth mouthfeel. Peppery, not too yeasty.
2.5On tap at brother jimmys, nbwk, NJ.
Appearance, hazy yellow brown.
Aroma is apple, wheat, grass.
Taste is fruit, but light.
Feel is thin. Flat.
3.9Shock the world and bring it broadway. This beer is history and its class is the reason why. It is so smooth ans so fresh.
3.6Apricot tan brew with a fluffy, ivory, clingy head. Standard 12 oz longneck, shiny green label. Nice yeasty Belgian aroma with spice. Sweet, fruity, pastry tones, a hint of warming alcohol. Tangy up front and pleasantly effervescent. Loses a little body towards the warming backend. Not very bitter. Tasty and well done. ABC Liquors, Betton.
3.4On tap at Happy Gnome. Pour is clear golden with a small white head and decent lacing. Highly phenolic, Belgian yeasty, biscuit, light lemons, pepper and herbs in the aroma. Taste is white pepper, some lemons, herbal, light grass, coriander, and yeast. Light body with high carbonation. Not my favorite type of saison, but decently built.
3.9Bottled, amber pour with huge white foam head, sour yeast and floral aroma, good tasty floral bitter Flavors, nice finish
3.7On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Poured a hazy golden color with a white head and lacing. Taste of spice, pepper, banana, and yeasty fruitiness. Very lively carbonation, medium thin body.
3.9Champagne like. Fizzy. Fruity and spicy. Very refreshing but with nice complexity.
4.0Bottle - medium yellow in color with a full chunky head. A very sweet perfume aroma and sweet taste. Some lemon peel in there as well as Belgian yeast and grassy dry. Light to medium body. One of the better saisons out there in my opinion.
3.7Hazy gold with an inch of off-white head, medium coarseness, moderate fast rate of decay. Aroma is lemon, lemon grass, semi-sweet wheat bread. Body is watery-oily, somewhat starchy, medium-medium-light weight, moderate carbonation/burn. Flavor is a tart, lemony wheat grain, touch of peppery spiciness/yeastiness, tingly. This definitely is growing on me and punches above its abv and initial impression. A very nice effort by Ommegang, living up to my expectation for their beers, which is saying something.
3.212oz bottle from Xroads I think. Poured a hazy bright bronze with a smaller white head. Aroma/flavor is spices, rotting citrus fruit, flowers, Belgian yeast and dough. Fuller bodied with average carbonation. Meh maybe just not in the mood for this right now. Seems a bit too spicy and too full bodied.
3.6Pour on tap at Black Bottle, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, dough into a bit of yeast, slight white fruit, white pepper into a bit of orange peel, floral hops. Taste was a mix of floral, herbal hops into some biscuit, dough, slight yeast into some pepper, clove, touch of white pear, finishing dry.
3.6Draft at Goodnight Irene’s in Wildwood, NJ. Pale yellow with very little head. Yeasty malt flavor. Citrusy with notes of coriander and white pepper. Some spicy hop bitterness in finish. Very refreshing.
3.5On draft at Sharp Edge Brasserie. Poured hazy orange with little to no head. Lemon, grass, sweet malt. Pretty standard for the style, enjoyable none the less.
3.7Bottle. Hazy straw pour with white head. Nose of yeasty pale malt, hopcitrus, florals. Tastes hopcitric, with yeasty pale malt, mild white pepper.
3.4Bottle at NYC Craft Beer Festival. Cloudy pale yellow with small foamy white head, citrus aroma, medium carbonation, orange peel taste, long citrusy finish.
