3.3Bottle @ mogwai, Helsingborg. Pours a golden colour beer with a medium head. Fruity and hoppy with notes of passionsfruit and vanilla. Dry finish.
4.9From Saveur Biere. In Teku glass. Playing Bloo Kid 2, then Oceanhorn. Delicious vanilla ice cream with lactose notes and a great feel. As expected, another extraordinarily original offering from omnipollo
3.5On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Summer of 2017. Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Murky golden, small off-white head. Lightly hoppy - citrus, fruit, zest, tropical, melon. Light sweetness with some zest to level it out. Light bitterness develops.Thin to medium body, moderate to high carbonation, moderately lasting dry finish. Very nice and aromatic.

2.7Bottle. Orange creamsicle nose. Milky, vanilla, oranges. Pale gold. Sweet, sugary, fake flavor, vanilla, syrupy sweet with an astringent ass finish like so many of their pastery beers. The nose is fun, but the flavor is ass.
3.8Bevuta il 29/11/2017 @TheKitchenInn in Galliate (NO). Alla spina. Oro carico con leggerissimi riflessi ambrati, limpida.
Abbondante schiuma pannosa persistente.
Al naso agrumi, pompelmo, sentori mielosi dolciastri.
In bocca forte nota erbacea, leggermente resinosa, molto floreale, con evidenti sentori di vaniglia e zabaione. Retrogusto amarognolo agrumato. Finale leggermente secco. Texture vellutata. Bassa carbonazione

3.7Served at AG:s Stockholm. Color is golden and haze with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and fresh also some hops. Taste is fruity, citrus and hops. Aftertaste is very well balanced and a nice easy aftertaste
4.0330ml bottle. Pours yellow. Vanilla, cream, lemon, little pine, little dank, peach, sweet ice cream finish. Lovely body. Surprisingly good.
3.6Another Omnipollo dessert fantasy, executed at Buxton; apparently an APA with added lactose and matured on vanilla beans - I haven't seen lactose, traditionally a natural ingredient in milk stouts, having been added to blonde hoppy ales a whole lot, but anything goes in the sometimes wildly experimental craft beer times we live in, so why not give this a try. Intricately lacing (like 'Brugse kant'), egg-white, moussy head slowly disintegrating into adjacent 'islands' of flat foam in the middle, over a lightly hazed, pure 'old gold' coloured beer with very vague olive greenish tinge somewhere, becoming deeper orange-ochre-ish and clouded with sediment. Aroma indeed more or less delivers what the concept behind this beer promises: a hoppy, dank APA superficially permeated by desserty sweetness, breathing impressions of sweet stewing shallots, strong vanilla (as in vanilla beans more than vanilla extract), orange juice left to ferment for a few days, stewed and sugared pear, rambutan, sweetbread, powder milk, dried apricots, white bread crust, some old cheese, dandelion milk juice, parsley-like 'natural' iron somewhere, mangistan flesh, unripe pineapple, light biscuit, cashew nuts. Spritzy onset, lots of minerally effects laterally adorning a clean kind of basic fruitiness, with unripe pineapple-, apple peel- and slight pear-like notes with already apparent citrusy hop notes, in all sweetish with a souring touch to it; supple, cereally and lightly bread crust-like malt body with a slight metallic 'zing' to it, but at the same time made creamier (and a tad sweeter) by the lactose, which feels a bit 'forced' upon it, to be honest, even if it remains relatively limited especially compared with even the average milk stout. Ends dank and aromatically hop bitter, dried grapefruit peel, toasted onion, a bit of damp marijuana, but weirdly joined - or perhaps a bit pushed aside - by equally strong, if not stronger retronasal vanilla... The hops lay a long, grapefruity and spicy layer of bitterness on the back of the tongue and throat, with some malty juiciness lingering afterwards - much more so than the vanilla or the lactose. So what kicks off as an APA, ends as an APA, yet goes on a wild, bizarre, almost seemingly drugs-induced trip in between... Granted, the lactose remains at bay, only adding basic creaminess and soft, undisturbing sweetness, but the vanilla is really very much there, forcing its way through the dank New World hoppiness like some pushy, uninvited guest at a dinner party. Not sure if this works: I had a couple of lactose APAs / IPAs before but there the creaminess was a lot more outspoken so this aspect did not bother me here (or even in those other ones) at all - it is the vanilla I am left pondering about. Somehow its sweet desserty character completely clashes with the spicy, bitter, 'botanical' qualities of the hops. A very convincing case can be made here for this being a perfectly fine APA (or even IPA - the hop factor seems to suffise for that qualification) being ruined by an alien flavour in a weirdly skilled kind of way. I can easily imagine this beer dividing opinions and I myself am unsure what to think of it - and therefore how to rate it - but fact is, this is technical well-executed (did not expect anything else anyway, seeing the name Buxton) and quite daring in its concept, though the countless young Omnipollo hipsters will probably naively rave about it regardless. Consumed the 'normal way' from a bottle, this is a bit puzzling, but very funny, playful and joyous as well - I will let the fact that this beer put a smile to my face after a few sips prevail in my rating. Note to self: must experience this after it went through Omnipollo's famous 'slush machine' and functions as a topping on another beer, because I have a feeling I am missing out on the true "Original Ice Cream Pale Ale" experience the way I'm drinking it now... Off to Stockholm.
3.8On tap at Opatovina Beerfest. Pours hazy golden with medium lasting white head. Lots of vanilla in nose and mouth, bit fruity, somewhat sweetish, finishes bitter. Smooth. Medium bodied. Bit one sided, but nice if you like vanilla.
4.0Bottle from JK Fine Foods. Looks slightly hazy light copper gold with a thin white head. Lots of bubbles in the glass makes this look like it's going to be real refreshing. Nose has soft sweet vanilla fondant and marshmallow. There's a light fruit and caramel layer. Flavours have mild herb and dolly mixtures. There's a resinous hop finish but it not overwhelming. It feels soft medium bodied with a sharp moderate sparkle. This is a superbly refreshing pale ale shot into another dimension with a fondant confectionary twist. Bizarre but thoroughly wonderful.
3.3Bottle at Bishop's arms Falun. Unclear yellow color, small white head. Aromas of sugar, malt, vanilla and cream. Bittersweet taste with cream, vanilla ice cream, grass and slight cardamom.
American Pale Ale? Komaan zeg, wie bedenkt zo iets?
3.7AROMA : vanilla, bread,yeast
APPEARANCE : SRM12, clear, frothy head
TASTE : medium sweetness, medium bitterness abit overpower by bitterness
PALATE : light to medium body, lively, bitter, long finish, you can feel a lactose there.
3.7Bottle from Prohibition Wines. Golden colour with a white head. Aromas of sugars, yeast and vanilla. The taste starts as a typical pale ale malt flavour, but the vanilla suddenly explodes in the mouth along with flavours of orange and pineapple. Excellent tropical fruit aftertaste with hints of coconut and a pleasant bitterness. Highly drinkable in small quantities.
3.7330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, dark golden with a white head. The aroma is lightly hoppy with citric fruits, flowers, pine and lightly malty (bread). Medium body with a light to medium sweetness and a medium bitterness. Very balanced. The flavor is medium hoppy (orange, pine) and medium malty (bread, biscuit, some caramel) with lactose and some yogurt, vanilla and a floral touch in the finish.

3.8Unclear, yellow-golden colored, medium white creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is of overwhelming vanilla ice cream, vanilla beans, bit caramel. Taste is medium sweet malt, bit caramel, strong vanilla cream, vanilla beans, medium herbal bitterness, bit lactose, bittersweetish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Superb if you're looking for a vanilla ice cream in beer, otherwise maybe best skip it.

2.9Uderza mnie w nim cukier waniliowy i całkiem nijaki Pale Ale, Rozczarowanie. Dosyć słodki, mało chmielowy i sprawia wrażenie sztucznego.
3.7(bottle)
Aroma: vanilla,sweet malt.hint of lemon.
Appearance: almost clear gold color, small dense head.
Taste: semi-sweet, flavour of vanilla, ice-cream and lactose, bit fruity citrus-like finish.
Palate: medium body, medium carboantion.
Overall: Nice one, it gives you exactly what you expect.
3.6Tap at Valhalla. Misty golden body. Dry hoppy aroma with some vanilla in there. Lovely vanilla presence in the taste, soft an sweetish, but clashing a bit with the herbal hoppy bitterness, mixing well with scant citric touches. Kiiinda expected more but I get the hype.
3.8Bottle @home, (Clear out the cellar evening). Pours orange/red, off-white almost pink head. Nose is peach, vanilla, slight lemon. Taste is big and fruity, orange, slight passion-fruit.
3.4Bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy yellow golden with a big white head. Smell of fruity hops and vanilla cake. Sweetish, tropical fruits (mango, peach), citrus, vanilla, candy, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, oily palate. Nice.
