Omnipollo Fatamorgana Oat/Wheat IIPA

Omnipollo Fatamorgana Oat/Wheat IIPA

Omnipollo Fatamorgana (8%). Drawing inspiration from the fidelity of a saison - rustic, alluringly cloudy and crisp - this double IPA was brewed using oats and wheat. Dry-hopped twice and completely untouched post fermentation to preserve aroma and flavor.

2.7 Bottle. Golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty - light/some wheat and lightly sweetish aroma, faint biscuity notes and light caramel, light - some floral fruitiness and some citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light biscuity notes and lifgr caramel, light floral fruitiness and light - some citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, faint biscuity notes and light caramel, light - some floral fruitiness and some citrus hoppyness. Not really IIPA - more like something from Belgium with sweetness/wheat/caramel. Head is weak. For those with sweet tooth.
4.3 Mkt bra
3.3 Pullo @Alko. Kevyesti sitruunaisuuttakin on lopussa. Suutuntuma on yllättävän kevyt, juotavuus on todella hyvä, mutta katkerot uupuvat. Mehu-DIPA, katkerot ovat kadoksissa, vaikka aromit ovat kohdallaan.

4.0 Hazy yellow beer with foamy white head. Aroma of fresh tropical fruits mixed with hops. Taste has lots of grapefruit, followed by lemon and some pine. Finishes dry. Medium body, average carbonation. Well done! Smooth and easy to drink
3.6 A light yellow beer, a head is medium and blond, yeast particles. Aroma has pineapple, mango sweet citrusfruits, mandarin. Taste has citrus, grapefruit, some caramel, medium bitterness. Medium+ bodied. Not too heavy. Good, enough of fruitness.
3.5 Pours opaque yellow, small white foam ring. Aroma is grapefruit but mainly strong hoppy. Taste is bitter, lasting aftertaste with some fruit tones. (Velp 202004)
3.4 APPEARANCE: Pale amber colour, lasting white head. Lovely in the glass. NOSE: Lovely grapefruit, lemon and fresh pine needle aroma. Simple, not very complex but very fruity. Balanced (and a plus for no sweaty gym socks). Do I detect traces of wheat and oats? TASTE: The arrival is medium fruity, with sweet pine and grapefruit. On the mid palate some pine resin, more grapefruit and some lemon. Medium to medium rich body & mouthfeel. The exit brings more of the same plus a mild, sappy pine resin bitterness. The aftertaste is fairly long. OVERALL: A fruity and sappy IIPA with the emphasis on fruitiness over bitterness. Very drinkable. Should be great in summer and with a variety of foods (lighter meat and heavier seafoods).
3.8 On tap at Lajbah, Ljubljana. Cloudy golden with medium white head. Fruity, citrus, resinous. Medium bitterness. Smooth texture. Medium bodied.
4.4 Home run imperial IPA. Deceptively smooth, nice citrusy hops, bit of pine
4.0 Super lækker Ipa med god bitterhed. Cloudy udtryk.
3.5 A very easy imperial IPA - typical of Omnipollo. Flavour is nicely bitter, rich in hoppy goodness, pine and citrus. Sort of full bodied but could definitely use more. Great for a hot day
2.9 Smell of random fruit. Opaque straw olour, short white head. Aroma of overripe fruit, hops, some yeasty notes. Finishes with a faint of rotten fruit. Oversweet, also bitter. Flat carbon. Somewhat oily texture.
2.5 Mycket grapefrukt. Blir godare efter några klunkar.
4.0 Lovely stuff! Balanced with fruit, hops, pine, bitterness. Complex flavor profile and smooth drinkability.
3.5 Can from Nikki's in Providence, RI. Lightly clouded gold with a thin white head, ok retention. Aroma is some lemon, caramel, pineapple, spicy grasses, grapefruit, orange. The citrus is strong, although the overall aroma profile is kind of weak, makes me wonder how old it is that caramel was identified first. It actually has a very slight roasted malt character - wonder if that's from raw wheat? Body is medium-meidum-light weight, rather oily, medium-light carbonation, moderate burn, somewhat creamy-foamy mouthfeel. Flavor is some mandarin orange, mango, light malt caramel with a touch of banana, grapefruit, and pineapple. Light bitterness in the finish that does not linger. Overall, nice IPA that does not come across like a double to me at all. The caramel in the nose, although noticeable, does not seem to be from being old based on the flavor. This is a very standard-tasting HIPA to me (again, maybe it's old - perhaps it's old but ages somewhat well for the first few months?)
2.8 Hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is wheat and citrus. Medium light body, a bit of bite but also a bit thin. Flavor is fairly sweet, lemon, wheat and grain, sticky finish. Not quite right for a NEIPA, but too sweet and citrusy for a wheat beer, did not quite enjoy too much.
4.0 Tap, Lajbah. Hazy orange, medium white foamy head. Pretty citrusy nose, some fruity sweetness. Moderately sweet, resiny with moderate bitterness. Slight alcohol warmth. Medium light body. Typical within the style and nice.
3.5 At punkraft pub. Orange color, middle foam size. Strong, a little bit more alcoholic than needed, but good
3.5 More like and American Pale Ale than a IPA. Tropical lift. Very hoppy aromatically but the palate is very soft and elegant. Good beer not a great beer.
4.0 Tap at happy gnome. Murky yellow with medium white head and good lacing. Funky hop nose. Thick body. Sticky hop, honey like sweetness, good complexity . Tasty.
3.9 Can, 2019/08/15. Pours a very light hazy yellow with a nice white head and medium carbonation. This a NEIPA, 100%. Juicy, fruity, kinda sweet (low bitterness) with a light crispy sourness (thanks to wheat probably). The hop bouquet is on the tropical fruits and quite resinous (could be a bit more complex).
3.6 Vycap unorthodox. Vôňa. Citrusová prenikava. Farba kalná žltá. Chuť krémová citrusová.
3.8 Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Cloudy yellow colour. M. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.
3.9 33cl Flasche aus Stockholm. Helles gelbes trübes Bier, luftiger heller Schaum. Kaum ist die Flasche offen verströmt ein intensiver Harz-Citrus Duft. Es schmeckt nach Grapefruit mit Marzipan. Orangenzeste, Hopfen. Sanft alkoholisch. Hinten raus der ganze Citrus Bowl. Nichts für Frischlinge.
4.2 Älskar denna IPA! Ljus lättdrucken men ändå mycket smak!
3.3 Can version from The Hop Vault in Archdale NC. Pours up very hazy maize with a weak frothy head consisting of multiple sizes bubbled, and little retention. A tropical hop bill delivers lots of pineapple and mango. Quite sweet and bready, not unlike a beer version of Hawaiian sweet bread. No hot alcohol notes to be found. I'd call this am Imperial Tropical IPA. Decent.
