4.7 Bottle. Pours black. Incredibly smooth and thick. Full bodied, sweet, well balanced. Dark chocolate, roasted, hazelnut, oak, caramel.

3.9 Bottle. An almost flat, black beer. Sweet, coffeeish aroma with dark chocolate cocoa and a touch of vanilla. It's full bodied, soft, sweet and warning. Roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, dark sugar, bourbon and a touch of vanilla. Lasting sweet finish. Delicious. 191230

4.1 Pours like motor oil. Aroma has a lot of bourbon, aroma is bourbon, alcohol, chocolate. Taste has bourbon, chocolate, roasted, warming alcohol.

4.2 Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a thick, viscous black with a smidgen of head that dissipates quickly. Big brownie batter nose with bourbon, oak, toasted almond and creamy vanilla aromas. Thick and full bodied on the palate...rich and decadent. Not as sweet as the regular Aon. More oak, cacao nib, fudge, baker's chocolate and vanilla with bourbon undertones. Everything comes together very nicely.

3.6 On tap at Colter Bay. Really sweet. Liked the pecan smell most. Mouthfeel surprisingly less than average.

3.9 Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a snifter. Black with small light brown head. Aroma is bourbon, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is bourbon, cocoa, and earthy pecans.

4.5 Black with dense cocoa head on tap. Big barrel, big pecan, still fudgey mud cake awesome sauce. It'd take a while to kill a pint, but damn that would be a great afternoon.

4.1 Bottle. Pours black with a decent tan head. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla. Taste is chocolate, bourbon barrel, vanilla, and pecans. Delicious to sip on.

4.5 Very strong aroma, but bourbon is not overwhelming. Chocolate, pecan and slight booze. Shiny black body with a brown head. Actually tastes like chocolate cake but has notes of pecan and a slightly boozy aftertaste. Palate could be a little more dense. Overall an outstanding beer. How is this not top 50 in the style?

4.2 Wow! Cukiernia w aromacie! Tort orzechowy polany czekoladą, marcepan, wanilia, kokos. Beczka wyciągnęła za uszy podstawkę i to bardzo wysoko! Polecam!

5.0 11% bottle edition. A swedish, black Imperial Stout with extremely low head. Aroma is cake, chocolate, marshmellow, coffee, dark raisin, light liqourice, bourbon, vanilla/oak? Taste is sweet and light bitter.

3.9 Bottle at home, 27th April 19. Pours black and slick. Aroma is sweet, cocoa, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, nuts, caramel, some bitterness, but heavy sweet, don't get loads of bourbon, maybe some vsnilla. Very nice impy over all

4.4 Pours jet black with a small, bubbly brown head. Nose is chocolate cake and huge fruity esters like pear drops. The barrel has obviously done wonders to the heavy hops of the base beer. Some smokiness and oak here. Palate is very thick. Light carbonation. Taste gives a great mixture of the esters and the chocolate mud cake. The bourbon is relegated to the background and the oak is light yet omnipresent. There are some remnant hops hanging around but these help to bolster the flavours.

4.6 330ml bottle. Pours jet black with little carbonation. Like the original, instant pecans on the nose but barrel esters add depth here. Thick palate accompanies rich pecan flavour, also with bourbon vanilla supporting it. Somewhat hoppy, but there in lies the potential for ageing. Superb.

4.4 Wygląd: czarne nieprzejrzyste, piękna drobno-pęcherzykowa piana . Bogactwo aromatu uderza na samym wstępie - marcepan, orzechy, wanilia czekolada deserowa. W smaku minimalnie gorzej. Na pierwszy plan ponownie wysuwa się marcepan z orzechami, kontrowany gorzką czekoladą (na tyle gorzką, że wpada nieco kwaskowatości), która po chwili ustępuje marcepanowo-waniliowo-orzechowemu posmakowi. Całość bardzo dobrze współgra ze sobą. Piwo jest nisko wysycone, gładkie, aczkolwiek uważam, że brakuje mu nieco ciała. Podsumowując, piwo bardzo udane, niestety nie piłem podstawki, dlatego nie wiem na ile beczka zrobiła robotę. Warte swojej ceny!

4.8 Gitzwart, tonnen hazelnoot, chocolade, zoet, roasty malts, vanille, noga. Soft bourbon, na het zoete komt er weldegelijk roast bitter. TOP!

4.1 Pierwsze skojarzenie to ciasto Brownie. Gorzka czekolada, wafelki, ciasteczka, wanilia, orzechy, trochę beczki. Gęste lecz nie oleiste. Delikatny alkohol. Spodziewałem się więcej tej beczki a tutaj aromaty ją przysłoniły. Mimo wszystko świetne piwo!

3.7 Fra flaske. Dyb sort med beige skum. Intens aroma af mandler, malt, marcipan, kaffelikør, en anelse syntetisk. Smager af kaffe, marcipan, likør. Høj sødme og høj bitterhed. Fuld krop. Føles fed i munden. Det bliver lidt for meget. Jeg savner balance.

4.4 330ml bottle. Pours almost pitch black in color and topped by a small tan layer of foam at the head that shows good retention before settling to a thin film and leaving sticky streaks all the way down the glass. The aroma is amazing showing notes of rich dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, pecans, toasted coconut, dark roasted malts, marshmallow, cake batter, soft bourbon, and vanilla laden oak. Maybe the most amazing smelling beer I've ever come across and easily the most hazelnut I've ever smelled in a beer. The flavor follows and shows more of the rich, decadent dark and milk chocolate up front along with gobs of toasted hazelnuts and pecans along with softer notes of vanilla, bourbon soaked oak, and toasted coconut. The bourbon and oak really smooth things out and add perfect balance to the nutty sweetness. Full bodied and incredibly smooth with soft carbonation that leads to a dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and bourbon oak finish that lingers long after each sip and just begs for more. Incredibly well balanced without getting overly sweet and just the right amount of barrel aging. Fantastic tasting stuff that I'd love to try again.

4.1 0.33 l bottle from 'Beyond Beer', 11% abv, best before May 2020. Pitch black with a very thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, minimally roasty aroma of massive hazelnut, vanilla, nougat, some coffee and traces of bourbon. Extremely sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of lots of hazelnut, vanilla, nougat, some mellow bourbon and a touch of coffee, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty, quite bitter, gently warming finish, just a little boozy. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavily sweet, pretty one-sided, but it's still so damn tasty and intense. I can't help it but I like it a lot, maybe even more than the base version, but probably not as much as the double barrel one.

4.8 330ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Chocolate, pecan, peanut butter, bourbon, vanilla, pecan pie, toffee, blackberry, nuts, bit of booze, sweet chocolate. Body is good but not quite the fudginess of the regular Noa. Utterly incredible.

4.3 33cl bottle at home, bought at Hopt.nl. Appearance: pitch black with medium sized beige head. Aroma: bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, pecans, roasted nuts. Taste: high sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of chocolate, bourbon, butter, vanilla, licorice root, pecans, hazelnut/nutella. Palate: full bodied, sticky texture and medium carbonation. Warming finish. Overall: again a very nice pastry stout. I like the bourbon in this one. It really adds a lot to the aroma and especially the taste.
