Literally black, opaque, minimal brown head. Sweet aroma of pistachios, dessert, chocolate, nuts. Taste is sweet, lightly bitter, dessert, vanilla, cream, nuts, chocolate, roots. Fuller body. Delicious.

Black pour. Aroma of roasted nuts, ice cream and hints of chocolate. Flavour of icing, chocolate and a bit of roastiness and dark fruits. Well bodied.
Draught, 11%. Nutmeg aroma, quite spicy. Dusty chocolate powder. Vinous touch. Black colour, seems unclear. Small stable light brown colour. Sweet flavour roasted, nutmeg, chocolate powder. Warning alcohol. Chocolate finish.
Draught @ Biererei, Berlin. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of cake and vanilla, with touches of malt and yeast. Sweetish flavour if biscuit and chocolate, with notes of vanilla and roast and touches of fruit. Roasty and cakey aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one. Yummy.
0.33l bottle. Brutal thick black colour with medium lasting small light brown head. Aroma: Oh my...full on dessert notes, like a chocolate cake. More detailed: chocolate, lots of nuts, caramel, hint of ash and matured chedar. But it's smells better than any cake I ever smelled. Taste: Oh my God!!! Brutal dessert like sweet malty start with lots of tarty/fruity taste (blueberry, blackcurrant, blackberry) and it shows a significant almond taste with a strong but very pleasant bitter and ashy/earthy mouthfeel. Very well balanced and the 11% alcohol is very well hidden. Has the most oily texture that I ever feeled in a beer. Full body with soft carbonation. Very long pleasant bitter finish with almond/earthy vibes. Amazing!!
Coś obłędnego. Pachnie jak cukierki kukułki. Deser z gorzkiej czekolady, orzechy, wanilia, karmel, do tego wyraźne chmiele i mimo słodyczy na finiszu goryczka. Chyba najlepsze piwo tego typu jakie piłem. Kawa też jest, a alkohol mimo braku BA jakiś taki szlachetny.
Bottle 33cl. Pitch black with a brown creamy head. Aroma is brownie, chocolate and hazelnuts.
Taste is very rich and follow the aroma. A perfect dessert beer. Long lasting finish. This beer stays long on your palate.

Shared with Wim at my home. Black colored beer with small brownish head and no carbonation visible. Very very nice aroma, vanille malty mucca. Full palate. Finish is malty bitter coffee mucca vanille bitter.

Fad. Kulsort øl med flot mokkabrunt skumhoved. Duften er kraftig pecan og chokolade. Smagen tager fra mundfylden som er milkshake agtig. Meget nød og chokolade. Vild dessert øl.
As a person who does not like to drink Shitao, I think this wine is delicious and worth a try!

Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Very harmonious, intense, but in no way heavy - very good.
Un stout bien sombre avec une mousse brun clair et un puissant nez chocolaté, onctueux, où l'on devine des notes de noix grillées et de sirop d'érable. La bouche est elle-aussi crémeuse, riche, alcoolisée mais contrôlée, caramélisée et torréfiée. Bien. Très, très bien.
330ml bottle purchased from Morrisons in Anniesland, Glasgow and sampled on the 25th December 2020. Pours a thick oily black in colour with a three finger dark tan head when emptied at height!! This head soon dissipates to leave no indication that one previously existed. Strong malty aroma with powerful sweet notes of pureed Ferraro Roche mixed with maple syrup give the most wonderous aroma that is in my top five. Thick gloopy mouthfeel and no lacing present. Dark malt complex delivers a rich and sweet Mississippi Mud Pie base with powerful Belgian dark chocolate ganache. There is no hop resin / bitter component detectable in the Imperial Stout and why should there be! Finish is very malty and still powerfully sweet with warming booze notes of chocolate liqueur heating up in the palate. Toasted Pecan nuts in molasses and chewy melted dark Belgian chocolate continue on in the mouth with tasting notes reminiscent of Siren Death by Caribbean Chocolate Cake here. This is a fantastic Imperial Dessert/Pastry Stout - thank goodness I bought another five bottles!!
Thick dark stout. Smells dark, sweet and lovely. Taste is vanilla, pecan, coffee, nutty and milky. Mouth feel is thick, creamy and sweet. A superb beer, must try :)

Na smaku na początku słodkie, czekolada, orzechy, rzeczywiście ciastowe. W finiszu więcej nut palonych, trochę goryczki, lekko rozgrzewająco alkoholowe.
Jak na pastry jest dobrze, wyraźne ciekawe smaki, ale jednocześnie nie aż tak ulepowate i całkiem ładnie zbalansowane.

Bottle at home, 22nd November 2020. Sure I have had this before, it’s thick and black, smells nice and lots going on, caramel, chocolate, rich. Taste is intensely sweet, chocolate, rich, sickly, it’s even hurts my teeth and gums. It’s too sweet for me, as the name suggests, smells good, but overall not my thing.
