4.3 A 330ml bottle with a best before date of I think 15th April 2022. Poured into a snifter glass. It was black in colour with a one finger mocha brown head that had decent retention and left nice spotty lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, mocha, vanilla and coffee. Tastes of roasty malts, coffee, mocha, rich chocolate, vanilla and hints of caramel with a lightly bitter finish. Rich, velvety, smooth, full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall just a wonderful sipper with especially great rich and smooth chocolate and coffee flavours.
Dobrze zachowany balans pomiędzy słodyczą a goryczką. Dosyć pełne, alkohol lekko drapie w gardło. Bardzo dobry poprawny RIS.
5.0 Bouteille 33cl le 04/02/2019. DDM : 28/09/21. Mousse : Belle mousse marron-beige, 15mm, crémeuse, fines bulles, bonne tenue. Liquide : Noir, opaque.
3.7 Rating 4,600. 330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is coffee, roast and vanilla. Taste has roast and vanilla to start with coffee, chocolate and vanilla on the finish.
4.2 Black colored, small dark tan head, not lasting. Aroma is sweet, milk chocolate, lactose, dark choco, coffee, bit vanilla. Taste is medium to very sweet, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, lactose, coffee, vanilla, bit alcohol, medium bitterness, light warming. Full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy.
4.5 Too much coffee, chocolate, too tasty, good with ice cream, cake, choco. Very very good.
3.9 W aromacie przyjemnie, głównie czekolada mleczna. Barwa czarna z ciemnobeżową pianą. W smaku czekolada, wanilia, a podczas aftertaste kawa. Alkohol świetnie ukryty.
3.6 33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, sugar, milk chocolate, coffee, fruity. Flavour is sweet, sugary, milk chocolate, coffee, light fruity, hint of green peppers, roast, caramel, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. OK but not worth the price tag.
4.0 Black with a brown head. Deliscious aroma of coffee, caramel, toffee and vanilla. Very sweet with a nice bitter finish. Great.
3.8 Aroma of coffee, chocolate, raisins, caramel. Taste of chocolate, coffee, lactose, butterscotch. Light vanilla. Easy and straight forward. Good.
4.2 Draft 13 oz pour at Hop and Hound during the BBF after party. 2016 vintage. Damn! Thanks, Eric! What a treat! Dense, thick midnight dark chocolate pour. Tons of coffee. It's bitter as a stout gets. Espresso, dark chocolate, caramel. A complex malt bill that I really can't get enough of. Intense coffee bean, but intense in a good way. I want this to be a little rough on me. I'm really not getting a whole lot of vanilla, but it's probably hiding underneath the coffee and cocoa bitterness. Just an incredible imperial to sip on. Love this.
4.2 Pitch black with brown head which stays long. Strong aroma of vanilla, combined with coffee, roast and sweet chocolate. Taste of malts with coffee, malts, roast, hint of vanilla. Long bitter finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Excellent stuff. For coffee beer lovers
3.8 Draft sample. The beer is a dark brown to black with a dark khaki head of foam. Huge roast and burnt toffee flavor profile. Sweet, roasty, and smoky. Big body and moderate carbonation.
3.6 Bottle from Eric. Dark brown with a velvet mocha topping. Chocolate fudge, vanilla, lactose, coffee, cream, mild carbonation and moderate body although things fade a bit on the palate, fairly sweet and then gets stickier, boozy, milk chocolate.
4.0 bottle. Pitch black, thick brown head. Vanilla, oat, creamy chocolate, coffee aroma. Vanilla cream, chocolate, sweetness, malts some licorice, salt and sugar. Very sweet, very good.
4.0 Bouteille 330ml.
4.2 330 ml bottle. Pours a virtually pitch black color and oily and capped by a small tan layer fo foam at the head that settles quickly to a thin film at the body below. The aroma is really nice showing waves of dark chocolate, burnt caramel, earthy, roasted coffee, and a big toasted vanilla note. The dark chocolate and roasted coffee come together perfectly to give that nice mocha note along with the requisite bitterness. The flavor follows suit and again shows huge notes of dark chocolate, earthy, roasted coffee, mocha, burnt caramel and smooth dark malts. The coffee adds ample bitterness on the back end while the toasted vanilla adds balancing sweetness and another layer of depth. Nearly full bodied, oily slick and smooth on the mouthfeel with soft carbonation that leads to a dark chocolate mocha finish with lingering notes of coffee bitterness and toasted vanilla. Virtually no sign of the 11% abv either. Really tasty and a damn fine imperial stout. Omnipollo is on par with the best of them when it comes to big, dark stouts.
Mniam.
4.4 Tap @ Omnipollos hatt. Dark brown, almost black color, dark brown foam. Aroma: excellent chocolate with cognac, vanilla, great. Taste: just liquid chocolate on a cognac basis, spicy and pleasant, great brew.
3.9 Bottle - 330ml. Opaque black body with a thin, beige, foamy head. Well balanced malty aroma with coffeeish and vanilla hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its robust malty taste carries woody, vanilla, and roasted coffee notes. Ends with a long, warming, sweet/woody finish. Well done.
4.4 Superb... aroma is great, lots of coffee, in the style of Russian Imperial Stouts. One can appreciate vanilla, alcohol, caramel, chocolate notes. Appearance is great, excellent tanned thick foam head, and opaque dark black. Taste is heavy bitter, with medium sweetness. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish is bitter and long. Overall, one of the best examples of a great traditional Imperial Stout.
4.1 Bottle 330ml at home. BBE 2022-04-05. From Alko. A black beer with khaki head. Dark malts, cocoa powder, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, light roastiness, sweet caramel. Full body, slick texture, average carbonation. Original rating 9-4-8-3-16 from bottle 330ml at Konttori 2017-03-10.
4.0 Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate mousse, vanilla and subtle spice. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, subtle vanilla and slight alcohol. Medium to full bodied and moderate carbonation. A long, coffee and vanilla bitterness in the finish with a tickle of spicy alcohol. A tasty, full bodied stout with a pungent amount of coffee and chocolate and vanilla mousse. Sweet with a bitter finish. It’s quite simple but I enjoyed it, just a hint of booze.
4.0 Bottle. Black in color with a tan head. Coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts in aroma. Some sweetish milk chocolatey notes too. Vanilla as well. Bitter chocolatey taste with some coffee. Cocoa powder sweetness too. Bit of vinous coffee liqour later on with a roasted malty finish.
4.3 Bottle with my brother. Pours black with just a small tan head. Aroma is fruity coffee, dark malts, some hops. Medium to big body. Very smooth. Flavour is complex and deep. Loads of coffee, Ethiopian beans come through nicely - some mild acidity and the roast character is very fruity. Overall this does not feel like 11% at all. I simply love the fruity character overall, it makes for a lovely coffee impy. Finish is bitter with roast coffee flavours. Amazing!
4.4 Maybe a bit too much carbonation. Taste and aroma Are so good i dont know why imnot giving more points. Coffee and classic IS stuff.
