Oppigårds Starkporter är ett nytt öl som har världspremiär i porterstaden Göteborg. Närmare bestämt på THE ROVER. Fråga i baren när det kopplas på. Styrkan är 5,9 % ABV. Men styrkan i denna porter sitter annars mer i den kraftiga choklad och kaffesmaken. OG 1067, SG 1022. Stort restextrakt med andra ord. Fyllig.

3.5 Bottle at home. August, 2011. Pours dark brown, almost black with a beige head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, sugar and chocolate. Not very powerful but still pretty nice. Medium bodied with a taste that resembles the aroma. Soft and smooth. Very drinkable.
3.9 Bottled. Pours opaque black with a large tan head. Good lacing. Nose of chocolate and dark fruits. Slightly sweet flavor with chocolate, caramel, again dark fruits and hoppy notes. Full bodied, creamy to oily texture and flat carbonation. Ends up more dry and with bitter notes. A great brew.
3.7 Bottle. A black beer with a brown medium high head that is creamy on top. Good lacing. A strong aroma of malt, coffee, caramel and chocolate. The taste is medium sweet. A full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a long finish. I like this porter from Oppigård.
3.4 Black body with a light head. Roasted malt in aroma and taste. Good every day porter with a light brown, fine foam
3.7 Black with a medium light brown head. Roasted malt, smoke, coffee in the aroma. More of the same in the rich flavor. Sweeter than a regular porter.
3.7 Bottle from Systembolaget. Originally rated on 2.10.2009. Slightly roasty and malty porter. Hints of chocolate and coffee.
3.5 4oz pour at Max’s Rare and Obscure Beer Week Part 4. Pours a watery, opaque black with a thin, white head. Nice toasty, roasty aroma, malty, some brown sugar, light nuts. Flavor is malty, sweet, brown sugar, bread, toast, nuts. Full bodied, dry finish.
3.6 Bottle from cletus. Pours dark brown with a medium sized beige head. The nose has some dark chocolate, roasted malt, anise, dark fruits with a hint of mustiness. The flavor has dark chocolate, roasted malt, anise, dark fruits, dry cocoa powder. Good easy drinking porter.
4.1 A finely tuned mixture of flavors berry, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee it is creamy yet refreshing. How this manages to still stay grown up and beery with appropriately layered malt and hop flavors I can only attribute to skill or luck. I really enjoyed this brew it is sweetish and moderate in body. A must try presented in perfect temperature from Rattle and Hum NYC. An odd enough enticing dark color to boot.
3.4 Bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Black with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of coffee, chocolate, raosted malt, caramel and spice.
3.9 Bottle. Dark brown, black in glass, finger thick tanned head that leaves nice laces. Smells of caramel, coffee and notes of vanilla. Taste has alot of coffee, some tar and tobacco. Good malt sweetness. Feel is very oily and dry. Finish is quite hoppy and bitter. I’m surprised of this beer, very good. Oppigårds has delivered several good beers lately
3.7 very lively with light head, black light smoke, nuts and a faint bitter chockolate Fine body and fine length Cream like with chockolate and some bitternes A fine light beer
4.1 Thanks to Dandman629 for the hookup... Black in color. Light aroma of sweet coffee & cream. Flavor is basically the same as the aroma, clean coffee & cream flavor with a sweet component in the mix. Overall, it’s very simple yet very delicious.
Sehr gut! 12/12/11/12/8/12
3.6 Bottle. Dark dark brown, close to black, inch high espresso head that falls a bit too fast for top score. Roasty and burned aroma for a porter, with aroma of coffee and licorice. Roast malt taste with chocolate, coffee, berries and a bit of honey. Bitterness is quite good. This beer is very good but I think a bit higher abv combined with a bit more unfermentable malt sugars serving a thicker body would do it good, though that would probably push it into a stout
3.9 Pours pitch black with a great bubbly and creamy head leaving plenty of lacing. Very nice roasted, acidy, peaty, meaty and sligtly fruity aroma. Excellent roasted medium mouthfeel. Flavor is fruity, slightly sweet, apples and pears, trt and bitter. Mmm. Nice tart fruity medium palate. Finishes lean, clean and tart malty.
3.8 Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted and produced fair lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.
4.0 Cocoa in the aroma and into the flavor. Has a little bit of fizz to it and can taste roasted malts, a very good, unique porter this is.
3.7 08.01.2011. 0,5l Bottle. From Systembolaget Charlottenberg. Black colour with tan head. Rich malty aroma with roasted malts. Sharp bitterness with lasting aftertaste. There is a lot of flavours in this beer. Very good porter.
4.0 Draft at Churchkey, courtesy of Nahem and his brothers in beer - thanks! Very dark brown, solid brown head. Aroma of dark cocoa and pumpernickel bread. Taste is very smooth milk chocolate and Starbucks. Medium body.
3.2 Draft. Large brown head that mostly dissipates atop black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, milk/bittersweet chocolate, roast, some caramel, faint smoke. Taste is moderately sweet, milk/bittersweet chocolate, roast, some caramel, faint smoke. Medium body, some stickiness.
3.4 0,5 l bottle, bought at Systembolaget Hansa, Malmo. Deep brown, ruby body with a fine creamy cappuccino-like head. Coffee, roasted aroma with caramel and molasses, earthy burnt wood. Medium body, light oily texture with the burnt woods again, mild peat and roasted grains, coffee, some dark chocolate in the finish.
3.1 Poured with a dark brown color and a beige, lacing head. Smokey aroma of bacon, molasses, ash, and hops. Light body with medium carbonation. Dry, bitter, roasted aftertaste.
3.5 Bottle at SMÖF 2010. It poured a pitch black liquid with a small light brown head. Flavour of chocolate, coffee, nuts and it had a chocolate bitterness. Semi-smooth and dry mouthfeel with a thick body. Lots of flavour in this one, specially considering the relatively low ABV.
3.5 23rd September 2010. Bottle shared by Mes - Cheers! Opaque very dark brown beer. No real head. Light crisp semi dry palate. Minerally dark malt with a light touch of roastiness and a trace of marmite. Finishes crisp and dry. Decent porter.
3.5 A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Jonte. Black body with a huge frothy tan head that fizzed away to nothing in seconds. Interesting flavour. Burnt and toasty. Lots of cardboard but it’s surprisingly tolerable. Some soy and liquorice. Good burnt fruit notes. Slight straw. Good bitter chocolate and a nice earthy feel backing it up. There is a strange note to the aroma that I’ve been struggling to pin down. Finally, I’ve got it. It smells of puppies. No joke, it really does. What’s not to like about that??? Not an exceptional beer by anyones standards but, as I said at the start, certainly an interesting one.
3.4 Bottle. Pours a pitch black body with little to no head to speak of. Aroma is chocolate-infused fruity hops, malts and hints of berries. Taste is dark chocolate, hay, hints of smoke and roasted malts. A sour-ish twist comes in at the end, giving the otherwise dark creation a decidedly fruity twist. Nice velvet palate. This is a smooth porter with a taste profile that says "rural" - an old school farmhouse ale, well made. Despite the relatively high degree of originality, the Starkporter from Oppigård still somehow fails to ring my bells completely. Pretty nice, though.
3.6 Bottle. Dark brown with little head.Aroma is strong chocolate smell also some coffee roastyness. Full body, balanced bitterness to the maltiness. Chocolaty thick taste. This is good, however lackes something to get a higher grade.
