3.4 Bottle. Dark red-brown colour. Very malty full-bodied beer (roast, toasted malts, buttery caramel). Fruity. Flowery spicy hops. Rather earthy (peaty?) bitter taste. Hints of smoke? Bitter roast malty finish. Very drinkable. (2008)

3.5 50cl Bottle, thanks Bob & Rosemary! Clear ruby amber colour, light-beige head. Aroma of crystal malt, toffee, resin, hops, rose petals, red fruits, quite some classic hops. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, caramel, toffee, nuts, floral, light fruity, light resin, decent hoppy bitter finish. Light bodied. Nice.
2.0 Karamel, licht wurzig maar waterig in smaak. Best complex maar dun. Licht aroma - beetje hoppiger. Niks speciaal, wel doordrinkbaar. 500ml fles.
3.9 $5.49 500 ml bottle from Market Street Wine Shop, Downtown. Pours murky brown with an inch plus of creamy beige head. Aroma is strong floral hops, almost perfumey, as well as light citrus, caramel, and apple? Flavor is highly floral, with rose hips, black tea, orange, caramel, raisin, violet?, nuts. Quite nice.
4.4 Bardzo dobre piwo. Pachnie bardzo chmielnie kwaitami i cytrusami. W smaku goryczkowe, nieco karmelu, ale glownie sporo dawki szlachetnej goryczki. Piwo ladnie wyglada piana spora i trwala, kolor klarowny czerwono herbaciany. Przyjemne i mocno wytrawne zwlaszcza na finiszu. Troche moze zbyt bylo przegazowane.
3.9 500ml bottle, chilled, poured into a pint glass at home. Amber colour; small off white head; lovely sweet nose, toffee apple, orange, malts; bitter taste; creamy; some caramel, raisin, orange with a sweetish, dry finish. Lacks a little body, but very tasty and highly drinkable, imo better than a lot of these new American style red/rye ales.

3.7 33 cl (11,2 fl oz) bottle, 5,5% ABV. Clear, dark amber to red-brown, thin tan head, lively rolling carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty, some toffee. Great traditional English style bitter going on. It’s malty, toffee and caramel notes, a bit fenolic, medium carbonated, bittering hops are present in the aftertaste. Very nice treat!
3.3 Attractive red - brown colour, with a thin white head which fades to leave a bit of lacing. Body on the light side of medium. Nose is floral, with a hint of violet as advertised on the label, and some red fruit sitting on top of bready malt. Malt is a more pronounced in the taste, with more cherry and is sight!y metallic. Nice enough.

3.6 500 ml brow bottle purchased and consumed near St. Andrews, Scotland. BB date stamp of May 2016 -- 1 year from now. Clear red-brown body with a fine bone-colored head. As hoppy as an Amer. Pale ale, but with a darker malt mix. Excellent hop/malt and bitter/sweet balance. O: another solid and recommended offering from Orkney.
3.4 Clear red beer with a thick frothy head and a smell of dry, spicy malt. Flavour follows that up with a touch of hop and an almost smoky finish. There’s a touch of citrus running through it as well which makes it feel quite a bit fresher too.
