Oskar Blues Fugli

Oskar Blues Fugli

Yuzu and Ugli fruit infusions twisted together with the blueberry, tangerine notes of Mosaic make for a tangy, juicy, zesty array of aroma and flavor. Salivation will instantly ensue with one sniff of this crushable brew (5.8% ABV, 60 IBUs) that was inspired by a Yuzu brew we made with some brewing friends in Japan.

3.1 12oz can from Wegman's (Charlottesville, VA). Odd fruity aromas, citrusy, red berry, pear, mango, lemon. Clear orange with a mostly lasting white head. Dry, bitter, juicy. Medium-full bodied.
3.4 Can - Pours a clear golden with sweet mango aromas and a small head. Starts with juicy fruit and ends with a dry bitterness. Very thirst quenching IPA.
3.8 355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.8%. Clear golden colour, large white head. Aroma of yuzu fruit and other citrus zest. The slightly dry flavour has also notes of yuzu and citrussy hops with a hint of pine, also a hint of blueberries. Medium bitter finish.
4.3 Aroma: Medium citrus, kumquat, Medium-light mango, pineapple. Appearance: Clear, golden body. Large, white head. Small bubbles. Good retention. Flavour: Medium citrus, spicy, kumquat, pineapple. Medium bitterness. Medium-light bready. Light heat, Dry finish with citrus, kumquat. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation, creamy. Overall: The beer has a slight heat that is confusing, but enjoyable. Good fruity flavours and aromas, even if the fruits reminded me of something else. (I have not tasted Yuzu or Ugli) 355 ml can, poured. 21A. American IPA.

3.6 (Keg at Pikkulintu, 20180716) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and pine. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A well done balanced hoppy brew.
3.2 Straw yellow pour with a white soapy head. Aroma of pine and tropical fruit. Slight tangerine and blueberry notes with some pine, and touch of bitter flavor. Nice beer.
1.0 Another ubiquitous IPA in a can, they have replaced american pale lager as the cheap plentiful beer. Smell is permeating ipa with a little fruit nose and some BO. Looks like any other ubiquitous IPA. Taste is what else but big bitter happy BS IPA. Borders on double impy IPA territory. So bitter I didn't even notice the co2. Bitterness is way to the left and unnecessarily rude. Not impressed but its on style if you this stupid kind of brew.
3.5 IPA commune. Peu de parfum, peu d’amertume. Très « américaine » (légère, quasi lager)
3.6 Nice mosaic hop character, not too bitter, the yuzu fruit adds a pleasant acidity to the mix
3.8 12 ounce can from Cannery Wine. Hazy golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pine, resin, pale malt, bright and vibrant citrus. Taste is resin, earth, tropical fruit, citrus, pale malt. Medium bodied, juicy. Nice. Not even fugli.
2.9 Bitter IPA with notes of tropical fruit. Slightly musty and funky. Definitely like nothing I ever tasted before, but meh.
3.2 On the lighter side for an IPA, but not quite a session. Has a light gold to yellow appearance. Yuzu adds some sweetness with the fruits adding very mild tart flavors. Only grabbed a single to sample, as this isn't really one I'd want a full 6 of.
3.6 Pours cloudy golden with low white head. Aroma of citrus, light grapefruit, stone fruit. Taste is mellow sweet with a light bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
3.9 From the can: a bit of a hazy, deep golden orange, with an inch and half of slightly pale butter yellow tinted sticky foam. Some subtly sweet fruit and earthy and floral, slightly spicy aromas. It's fairly crisp and dry, bready. Some tropical flavors up front, quickly giving way with piny bitterness crashing to a peppery bite to finish The mouthfeel holds up to warm a bit, as the aromas open. Fairly sessionable and well executed.
3.4 Clear brassy gold with thin lacy white head Aroma is mild grain Flava is mild grain some hop spice with earthy notes of plum or cantaloupe Feels medium with nice fizz Finishes bitter mild grainy notes
3.0 Light with a distinct fruit flavor. A little bitter, dry through the finish, but still somewhat bland overall. Thin at the end.
3.6 Admin adjusted my rating so i dont remember what i wrote, but regardless i do remember this being a mild flavorful juicy ipa.

3.5 Can pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Appearance is lightly hazy, golden yellow-orange with trace sparkle, less-that-finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is sweet berry and citrus fruit, mild hay. Taste is citrus and berry like the aroma but less sweet, with late pine bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average-to-lively carbonation and dry, mostly pine bitter finish. Overall, would have liked the taste to have had the strong sweetness of the aroma but still good and somewhat different.
3.6 Can. Gold pour. Nice citrus aroma and flavor. Maybe a little pine is present as well. Finish is bitter and a little citrusy and. Finish lingers. Flavor is light to medium. Medium carbonation and lighter body.
4.0 12 oz Dose. Gelbes Vier mit schönem hohem cremigem Schaum. Reife Mango und Hopfen in der Nase. Würziger Antrunk. Grape, Zitrone, Limette. Ein Hauch Schärfe wie von Ingwer und Mandarinenschale im Abgang. Lecker und frisch. Mein erstes Bier mit Ugli!
3.5 Tap at The Canal House Nottingham. Pours amber gold body and white lace top. Aroma has a medley of fruits tropical and subtropical, raw and cooked. Taste is medium to light sweet to bitter. Palate is medium bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a long finish. Might help if I had previously encountered a Yuzu. Uncommon in these parts.
3.7 Lots of fruit aroma and taste---with a definite bitter hop finish. Reasonable 5.8% ABV.
