Oskar Blues IPA

Oskar Blues IPA

OUR STRAIGHT-UP STRAIN: THE ‘BLUE DREAM’ IPA

Trailblazers don’t torch a new passageway and then stop; they keep finding new ways in and new ways back out. That’s exactly what we did with our metamodern IPA conceived of hand-selected hops from down under. Malt barley and red wheat combine to create a clean malt backbone with a foolproof flavor and mouthfeel to support America’s sneak peek at Enigma, Vic Secret, Ella and Galaxy hops. The hops strum juicy and sweet aromas with headline notes of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus. This intense, straight-up strain is Oskar Blues IPA (6.43% ABV). Smash a Blue Ferrigno… and it’ll smash back.

3.6 Piwo koloru złotego lekko zamglone z solidną pianą która ładnie zdobi szkło. Aromat lekko utleniony, owoce, chmiel, żywica i cebulka. W smaku przeciętnie, są nuty owocowe, iglaków plus żywica, lekka goryczka nie zalegająca.
3.8 Nice golden yellow IPA. Easy going IPA with a soft smell f hops. Moderate carbonation which fits the taste.
3.2 Bardzo klarowne z piękną, obfitą pianą. ZIołowy aromat i mnóstwo białych owoców.
2.8 Tin from Chavsda. Heaped filmy orange. Aroma of frozen peaches, peach iced tea, general soggy sponge peachiness. Medical Peach Soothers, honey and lemon Locket taste bitter with menthol. Dunk of battered sausage. Pretty awful.

3.2 12 oz can from Brewers Haven. Finally getting around to this. This is another case where it orobably was the shit when it came out, but has since been surpassed. Pretty standard all the way through, classic IPA. Here's to the trailblazers!
3.5 Smells of pineapple, hops. Clear light gold in color. Big white head. Taste of pineapple, blueberry, hop, light citrus, wheat, and white flowers. Pretty light and refreshing.
4.0 355 ml can, poured into an IPA glass, where it appears a slightly hazy golden orange, topped with a massive 3 fingers of white froth that recedes gradually, but never goes away. Aromas are fruity hops all the way, starting with grapefruit, then tropical fruits like passionfruit and pineapple. Taste opens up sweet and fruity, no grapefruit here, but many tropical and citrus fruit tastes. Ends with a moderate short bitter. Mouthfeel is creamy and medium bodied. Loved it!
3.5 Taste: mild crisp hops, spiced malty backbone. Nice semi sweet grain nose. Golden hue, semi clear, with white foamy head and ring of lace. Medium body. Balanced.
3.5 355 ml can purchased at Systembolaget. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus fruit and pines. Grassy and a toasted note. Taste is bitter. Dry, fruity finish with pines. Nice old school IPA.
3.5 Bready malts complemented by resin hops with a bit doughy yeast strain. Finish is bubbly.
4.0 Can as gift. Pours hazy peach gold with fluffy white head. Lots of carbonation makes this beer look supremely refreshing. Nose is fantastic. Full of pineapple, grapefruit and citrus with a touch of alcohol warmth and a finishing fresh pine and leaf. Taste has lingering pithy, grassy bitterness that adds to the drinkability. Medium bodied with crisp refreshment from the carbonation. Just seriously drinkable. It's ticking all my boxes for an IPA. Fruity, fresh with a moreish level of bitterness. It's one I would happily have again.
3.7 Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium off-white/beige head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Orange, bread, hops and citrus. 7/4/7/4
3.7 Can from AEON Liquors, Jiyugaoka. Pours deep orange, just a bit cloudy. Some white foam on top bit that disappears relatively quickly. Nose has some rotting tropical fruits, lots of mango and apricots, kind of skunky but not in a bad way, still enjoying this, Taste reveals a medium body, somewhat medium bitterness and good tropical fruits with some guava extra flavours and a touch of citrus. Overall, quite nice although the hop profile seems to be somewhat pungent.
3.6 Orangegul öl med vitt skum. Doft och smak av ananas, citrus, passionsfrukt och lättare tallbarrstoner.

4.2 Aromat wyraźnie owocowy: mango, ananas, winogrona, melon. W tle jakieś zboże. Barwa złota, lekko zamglona. Piana biała, drobno pęcherzykowa, obfita i względnie trwała. Smak umiarkowanie słodki, ale wyraźnie owocowy - j.w. W tle zboże i ciastka. Alkohol nizle ukryty. Goryczka chmielowa średnia, wyraźnie owocowa, przyjemna. Pełnia średnia, umiarkowane wysycenie i leciutki, owocowo -zbożowy finisz.
