Oskar Blues Passion Fruit Pinner

Oskar Blues Passion Fruit Pinner

Passion Fruit Pinner takes the flavors of passion fruit & citrus juice of the original Pinner Throwback IPA and turns them up to 11. The clean malts, with hints of toasted biscuit pair with zesty hops to spice up the taste and aromas from pureed Passion Fruit and a small spike of pureed Blood Orange.

4.0 I’m a big fan of the pinner, so I was nervous about the beer. This is very solid, however. The passion fruit sweetness accents the grass and lemon qualities.
3.6 [Can (12oz)] Pours a hazy, bubbly gold with a large frothy white head. Minimal to no lacing. Aroma (7+) is quite fruity, floral and a bit hempy along with some malt in the back. Slightly mild but pleasant flavour of floral hops, citrus fruit and passion fruit. Average bodied. Pretty good, sessionable beer.
3.7 Caña en el señor lupulo Gijón 04..03..2017..prueba.. (r132). Color amarillento con espuma blanca Sabores afrutados frescos con ligeros verdes herbaceos. Algo seca y con cuerpo ligero fácil de beber líquido. Buena y refrescante.
4.3 Hazy bright yellow color, white head. Fruity aroma has passionfruit, orange notes, fruits. Nice fruity taste, berries, hint of vanilla, orange, fresh hops. Just excellent.
3.4 Nice golden color; Light to medium body; Aroma of pine/floral hops, some fruit, & citrus; Flavor of malt, pine hops, grain/grass, some fruit, and citrus; Finish is slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Fruit was fairly subtle - decent.
3.2 Can at home in London - sourced from Beer Gonzo. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Lightly effervescent. The aroma holds peach, tangerine, orange peel. Light sweet flavour, subtly chalky, with some rindy bitterness, lemon pith, more peachy notes, vague passion fruit, biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Reasonably clean in the finish, somewhat dry, with more peach, citrus rind, dry pale malts. Some piney bitterness in the aftertaste. A little bit artificial. So so overall.
3.4 Can. Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, pale gold. Frothy ring of white head. Nose has passion fruit and overripe orange. Some damp and fusty grain. It’s a bit old this can, and it probably shows. Taste is sweet and fruity, turning light, slightly metallic bitter. Light to medium body. Prickly carbonation. More of the metallic thing in the finish. Should maybe have steered clear of this given the August canning date.
3.5 060117. Can from Beer Cartel. For some reason passionfruit and beer just seems to work well together. You get a very distinct passionfruit flavour in this beer and it is nice. Soft white head with some bitterness and that tangy sweetness that passionfruit brings.
3.3 Passion Fruit Pinner has a thick, off-white head, a somewhat hazy, bubbly, straw appearance, with roiling tan sediment chunks, throughout. Aroma is of citrus and, perhaps, hop oil. Taste is mostly of citrus fruit, with a muted, background malt flavor and low-level bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Passion Fruit Pinner finishes crisp and easy to drink. RJT
2.8 Amarelo palha de leve turbidez, espuma de média formação e pouca formação. Aroma remete a mamão, cassis, adocicada. Paladar de leve dulçor sem amargor. Corpo leve e média/alta carbonatação. Final de frutas tropicais, leve/média persistência com toque de lúpulo e seco no final.
3.3 It’s OK. It would be a decent lawnmower beer. Pours only slightly cloudy orange, lots of foam, lots of carbonation. The aroma is fruit and hay and some pine hop character. The flavor brings a not unpleasant wash of tropical fruit, grassy hops, and just a tiny bit of bite. As session beers go, I’ve had worse.
3.6 Can from Bridgend Services, Freuchie. Pours straw gold. Loose but fluffy white head. Aroma has lots of pine and dank upfront....nothing too forceful but it is nicely prominent. Candied fruit. The passion fruit adds some sweet tropicality. Lemon peel. Light brioche bread. Taste has a lovely sweet fruity tang to it. An acidic bite from the fruit additions. Biscuity malt dries the palate a little. Moderate bitterness plays well with the sweet juice. Medium spritz. Clean finish. Nicely fruited light IPA.
3.5 Lemon zest, bready, passion fruit, some light cats piss, refreshing and tart. Light golden colour, medium white head, lacing. Noticable tartness, lightly sweet, medium bite, lots of lemon zest and passion fruit, bready, and light pine. Light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter and tart finish. Solid.
3.1 Mostly citrus, some raw passion fruit, light grassy, some pine, decent maltienss in background, some caramel. Light sweetness with moderate to light bitterness. Decent, but bit boring
3.0 Strong passion fruit on the nose and follows through on the tongue. Interesting to have the slight hop bitterness come through after the event makes for a weird sweet and bitterness. It's a session IPA but anymore then a couple will destroy your taste buds. It's like a vodka cruiser with a hop added.

3.8 Pours clear copper with a thin head. Aroma is racked with passion fruit. The taste is great. Lovely passion fruit to start, then a great bitterness punch in the mouth and a sweet passion fruit finish. A really well balanced fruit IPA.
3.0 Can, pours a clear gold with large soapy white head and lacing. Smell and flavor are candy grapefruit, fake passionfruit, perfume, flowers, and spice. So thin and artificial tasting to me. No Thanks
