Oskar Blues Priscilla Wheat

Oskar Blues Priscilla Wheat

This AmeriCAN take on the Belgian Classic Wit, featuring orange peel and coriander spice emanated from the basement blues music legacy Dave McIntyre (Oskar Blusologist) built at the original Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, CO. On draft for over a decade, Priscilla’s zesty citrus and light fresh baked bread aromas mix with spicy, fruity fermentation. Light bodied with a subtle savory spice accent and a dry, lightly tart finish you can nearly feel the flicker of the neon and sounds of the King. White Wit Wheat.

3.2 Simple lemony, floral wheat, bubble gum, light yeasty. Moderate sweetness with light tartness.Decent thirst quencher, but bit too fizzy and empty
3.4 Can. Golden / yellowy coloured beer with a strong white frothy head. The aroma is citrusy with some ginger and yeastiness. The flavour is bitter with citric and spice notes and a dry finish. Overall a nice but average wheat beer.

3.3 (Can, 0.355 l - canned on 24.04.2017, at Bar Bronco 2, 20171005) The beer poured pale golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness and coriander. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, coriander, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, hoppy and bitter. A decent hoppy witbier.
3.0 Normalita...
Gylden. Uklar. Filmskum. Lett banan/krydderaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken godt moden banan. Kjedelig.

3.8 12 oz can pours hazy orange with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus, wheat, floral. Light bodied, crisp, refreshing and very nice.
2.9 Can - pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is peach, orange and spice. Taste is fruity and wheat but fades quickly.
Seca. Especias en postgusto.
3.9 Slightly hazy pale gold color with a thin head of white soapy foam. Has a light orange citrus twang with some friendly spice going on. More beefy and flavorful than the likes of Blue Moon.
3.1 Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grainy malt, light banana. The flavour is citrus, light acid with a crisp grainy malt, yeasty bitter aromatic hop, light spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat light and not particular memorable.
3.5 1/2 pint on tap @ One Pint Pub. Pours hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma is malts, wheat and banana. Flavor is malts with some wheat, hefe yeast, some banana. Decent.
4.0 Cilantro y cascara de naranja en nariz. Ligera de cuerpo. Trigo dulce y especias en boca. Refrescante. CAN. Canned 24/04/2017
3.5 Draft at Dewey’s-Clifton, served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white cap for a head, eventually settling into a ring. Almost has a witbier-like character, with citrus zest, bready and wheaty and doughy malts, coriander-like herbs, and mild spice. Light-medium bodied, with a dry, wheaty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Pretty good, and makes sense for a canned offering.
3.3 On the RBSG16 bus. Pours a clear gold with a medium sized white head. Musk wheat, a bit of sweetness. Medium bodied, soft wheat, light yeast. Gentle wheat, musk, yeast.
3.8 Can from Beautiful Beers. Pours a very light golden, hazy yellow, with an abundant white frothy head. Fruity aroma of peach, orange and hints of banana yeast and unmalted wheat, Flavours are surprisingly clean for a wit; light citrus followed by light maltiness of wheat and barley, finishing with fruity yeast. Light and refreshing. Not brilliant but nonetheless a very good take on a Belgian Wit. Tasty (like all Oskar Blues beers).
3.6 Can, from TW Reno. Lively aroma of citrus, wheat, and spice. Crisp and refreshing. Flavors of citrus, orange peel and lemon, with more spice. Wheat and yeast screams witbier. Really flavorful and light bodied... a great summer offering perfect for cans. Makes me wish I was on the river.
3.8 interesting; niiiiice. A wit wheat and it works well; this could be a summer go to beer. some grass and orange in aroma. nice hazy yellow pour. Taste mixes wit and wheat with light fruit and hops with minimal bitterness. well done; should be rated higher.
3.6 Draft at the (NC) source. Pours hazy pale gold with a full frothy white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is spicy coriander and yeast. Flavors of orange peel kick in more spiciness and lead to a crisp dry finish. Fresh and light bodied with medium carbonation. Good summer beer
3.3 Trübes Goldgelb mit relativ wenig Schaum. Malzig, fruchtig, etwas Zitrus, Banane, Kräuter, Pfeffer, spritzig.
3.4 Gulbrun lett tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter banan, gjær og urter. Middels minus i fylde. Søtlig banan, hvete, noe syrlig sitrusig, gjær og noe fudge. Middels lang, kommer urter, pepperig utover.
3.2 355 ml can. Canned on 08.02.2017. Pours slightly cloudy golden color with a large white head. Aroma is wheaty with mild lemon notes, subtle yeast. Flavor is fruity with citrus and some orange, spicy yeast notes, not too much wheat on the flavor, somewhat tart finish, carbonation is a bit low. Okay but a bit boring. 3334
3.5 I believe this should be categorised as a witbier, but that’s just me. Hazy orange coloured body with a straw glow and a nice, if fast-dying pure white head, only a centimetre tall. Aroma of pure coriander seed, wheat, curacao, full oranges, bubble gum and another dose of dryer, lighter yeast and coriander seed freshness. Light-bodied; Strong yeastie flavour with some bread and curacao at first with the oranges hitting hard along with the coriander seed freshness. Aftertaste shows some nice mellow grassy notes, a touch of bread and yeast and finishing with citrus, having the oranges and curacao the strongest. Aftertaste fades to a very easy-drinking, nice spicey kick along with the freshness from the yeast and coriander seed. Overall, a nice wit with a good character and smooth complexity, especially near the end. Nice to sample and great to have in a can! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Colorado Liqour in Colorado Springs, Colorado on 02-July-2016 from my boss - Thanks Jeff! Sampled at home in Washington on 02-june-207 two days before heading back to Colorado!
3.4 A very juicy take on a Belgian wit, the orange and lemony components are in the forefront of both aroma and flavor. Mild earthy spices rise in the finish. Pours hazy straw with a small head. Little lacing. A tiny bit of tartness in the finish Works well.
3.0 Golden with a white head - Wheat and spices in the aroma - Wheat flavour with spicy and some banana flavour with hardly any bitterness - This was ok
2.4 Can as pictured. Had a mellow witbier aroma about it. Was hoping for a mild wit bier as described on the can but its another wheat ale fer sure. Good co2 sizzle throughout. Does look like a wit bier, but the taste is quite forward, a somewhat irritating ale effect; bitter, slightly medicinal, yah know? In the end it does come across almost refreshing but never quite gets there.
3.5 Golden opaque with a frothy white lasting head. Aromas of wheat bread, coriander and orange-lime peel/zest develops. Fine carbonation, bright body, light slickness offering a little spiced sweetness and developing tart bit acidic bitterness moving along the palate. Medium finish.
