Die geschichtsträchtige Bierkomposition aus Wiener Malz und Melanoidinmalz sowie feinstem Saazer Hopfen besticht schon alleine durch die auffälligen, bernsteinfarbenen Reflexe.

Diese mehr als süffige Komposition passt ausgezeichnet zu Speisen der traditionellen Wiener Küche und basiert
auf einer 100-jährigen Rezeptur der Ottakringer Brauerei.

3.6 Honey color with a huge creamy head that lingered and left great lacing. Sweet and tangy with fruit, caramel and honey notes. Long finish. Medium body

3.7 Die Optik zeigt sich bernsteinfarben mit einer deutlichen Trübung. Die feinporige, cremefarbene Schaumkrone ist dabei flaumig-stabil und hält dabei mäßig gut. In der Nase überaus spelzige, getreidige Aromen, die an frisch gedroschene Gerste erinnern. Leicht röstig-karamellige Noten legen sich, genauso wie grasig-hopfige dazu. Durchaus gut! Der Antrunk kommt weich-spritzig, getreidig, leicht röstig-malzig und macht richtig Lust auf dieses Bier. Am Gaumen macht es einen etwas einfacheren Eindruck. Leicht malzig, karamellig bis röstig und holzig-würzig, aber sonst fast ein wenig langweilig. Da haben Duft und Antrunk dann doch ein bisschen mehr Hoffnung gemacht. Haptik und Süffigkeit hingegen sind aber absolut gut! Es macht durchaus Spaß, dieses Bier zu trinken. Der Nachtrunk gestaltet sich so, dass die Aromen langsam ausklingen. Es bleibt eine zarte feinherbe Note, sowie ein unerwartet nussiger (Walnuss) Charakter über. Fazit: Toller Start und überraschendes Finish. Im Mittelteil jedoch etwas zu langweilig. Dennoch ein gutes Bier und meines Erachtens aktuell underrated!

3.1 Amber with offwhite dense head. Aroma sweet malts grass. Taste quite malty some bitterness.

2.6 Had it on a flight to vienna. Refreshing and easy drinking lager. Grassy and sweet.

4.0 Színe érdekes arany. Habja bőséges, fehér. Illata lageres. Plusz egy pont a csodálatos habjának, szép és még tartós is. Íze édeskés, utóízében enyhén kesernyés. Gyengén szénsavas. Közepesen telt, de testes darabnak tűnik, selymesen csúszik, könnyen iható. Utóízében nem is kesernyés, inkább, mintha alkoholt éreznék Alkoholt? Így nem pontos, inkább azt mondom valami alkoholos íz bujkál benne. Visszatérve a habjára, hihetetlen. A sör elfogyott gyönyörű habja még mindig a pohárban figyel. Kóstolva: 2020. 12. 14.

2.5 500ml Dose. Dunkelgelbes Bier mit viel Schaum. Traubenduft mit Getreide. Wenig Kohlensäure. Im Geschmack alkoholisch. Malz, Getreide, Trauben. Karamell und Alkohol im Abgang. Naja, geht so.

3.2 Can at hotel nye. Light amber yellow. Nose is faint caramel. Tastes of bread, toffee, earth, faint pepper. Thinner bodied.

3.0 Clear darker straw body with a couple fingers of head. Aroma is mild grains and grass. Taste is off-bitter, mild malty sweet middle to end. Texture is sticky.

2.6 Malzbetontes Bier. Brotig karamellig mit leichten Röstaromen. Leider etwas zu herb für meinen Geschmack.

3.3 Tap. Pours clear vibrant amber, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste is semi-sweet, low bitterness. Flavors of malt, caramel, and a touch of hops. Medium body, crisp texture, average carbonation. Quite tasty and gentle.

3.4 Pint can pours a clear golden amber with a huge off white head. Dry toffee and caramel malt aroma. Taste of semisweet caramel toffee malt light dryness from lager yeast. Crushable and malty. Ok.

3.2 It pours amber and very clear with an off white head. Head retention is very good. It has toast aromas with some spice in the nose. It has toasty flavors with a bit of caramel. There are some low spicy elements in the background. It is clean. It has a medium body with a slight creaminess to it. Overall, it has a creamy texture with the balance towards the malt but enough spice to taste the hops.

3.5 Pale golden pour with a bit of amber to it, frothy off white head and stripes of lacing ….. aroma of toasted bread, light toffee, some caramel malt notes and some roasted notes …. Taste is of light toffee, sweet caramel malts, bready, little roasted and some floral hop on the back end …. Finish has lingering toffee, toasted bread and light roast with a light hint of floral hop …. Tasty Vienna lager, very sessionable and clean

3.5 Tall can. Pours a clear golden orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, and floral. Taste is similar. Decent Amber Lager.

2.9 16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Dar golden pour, one finger cap of creamy head. Malty aroma, musty, light vegetal notes. Taste is caramel malts, brown bread. More vegetal flavors but a bit subdued than in the aroma.

3.1 500ml can. Pours clear dark gold with a medium-sized off white head. Aroma is grain, toasted bread, spicy hop and caramel notes. Taste is dry, toasted malt, hops, grassy bitterness. Light to medium bitter finish. Not that much caramel, which surprised me. Encroaching on polotmavy territory.

3.4 Not a bad Vienna lager, lots of toasted bread, toffee, and apple, underlined by a gentle floral bitterness and a yeasty, bready fade. Very easy to drink, even if there’s the slightest smidge of Euro skunk.

3.8 16 Oz can. Pours orange with tall, long lasting foamy white head. Aroma is of caramel malt, floral hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is similar to aroma. Nice brew.

3.8 A Vienna lager from Vienna. I guess this is the real deal. 1 pint can from The Mansion. Pours a clear deep gold color with a khaki head and excellent retention. Great lacing too. Malty aroma. Malty lager flavor to match the nose and a bready finish. A little Euro lager flavor and not as sweet or caramelly as I expected. Slightly crisp mouthfeel. Clean and smooth. No bitterness. A very good Euro lager.

2.9 Can, 500 ml. Nice clear amber appearance with a medium sized white head on its top. Toasty nose and aroma escorted by dough and mild herbs leading to a sweetbitter finish.

3.1 Klar bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht brotig, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

3.8 Light amber color, nice, lasting white head. Malty aroma, reminds me of the basic ottakringer, a bit more bready, somewhat toasty. Taste is medium sweet, bready, tosty, but not harsh. Medium body and carb. Light bitterness. A very nice beer.

3.6 0,5 can. Nice color reminiscent of lighter Czech half-browns, meaning I’d rather fit into the category. Foam solid, white, nice big, decomposes moderately fast. Cultured lager aroma, delicately malt, caramel, and even hop spiciness come to mind. So far so good. It opens sweetly, very maltously, and looks surprisingly full-bodied. Compared to heavy-duty beer anyway. The foam remained almost all the way. It looks like a great drinking beer, a real value champion. *** Szép, a világosabb cseh félbarnákra emlékeztető szín, azaz inkább azt mondom, beleillik a kategóriába. Hab tömör, fehér, szép nagy, közepesen gyorsan apad. Kulturált lager illat, finoman malátás, karamelles, mellette még komlós fűszeresség is előjön. Eddig jó. Édesen, nagyon malátásan nyit, és meglepően testesnek tűnik. Nagyüzemi sörhöz képest mindenképp. A hab egyébként szinte végig megmaradt. Remek ivósörnek tűnik, igazi ár-érték bajnoknak.
