3.4 Tap from the source in Middlebury, VT. ECBT crew in tow. Snifter glass. Deep orange and golden reminiscent of citrus juice. Nice white froth and served at in incredibly refreshing cold temp. Aroma pulls in bitter citrus rind from the hops and pairs it with a floral quality. Taste is bright and citrusy. Orange peel and maybe a hint of Hoegaarden spiciness. Finish includes more sweetness. Aftertaste leaves you with more from the hops. Decent, if unspectacular summer feeling IPA.
0.8 This was a beer that I did not truly care for. Initially there was a citrus orange or even pineapple like aroma. It's so strong it's hard to get past the aroma.
3.7 Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Clear golden color, white head. Aroma of herbal orange peel, subtle pepper. Taste is spiced orange. Easy drinking.
3.2 Taster... Pale hold with white head. Interesting approach with solid hop profile enhanced with spices... Very imaginative and tasty.
3.5 Sample during the "Inventory Reduction Beer Tasting" on 12/26/2015. Clear golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, spice and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, spice and grassy hops. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
2.5 Dont really understand the big ratings for this beer. Really dont like corriander and def dont like it in my IPAs. Yuck.
4.3 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at "The Pub" in Gettysburg, PA. The aroma is full of citrus and spices, great aroma. The appearance is a murky gold color with a white head. the flavor was full of citrus and some hops. Overall, a really refreshing beer, great for spring time session drinking.
3.1 Pours straw yellow with some orange highlights. Aroma of citrus and spice. Clementine and grapefruit flavor with some spice. Good lacing. Decent beer, but not very IPA-like.
3.3 Draught @ The Baroness. Hazy bright yellow with small foamy white head, faint citrus aroma, medium carbonation, hoppy taste with a hint of citrus zest, long medium bitter finish. Nice but not spectacular.
3.5 Pours a three-finger white head fades slowly leaving some lace. Almost clear straw color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Grapefruit nose and flavor is grapefruit hops and hints of orange peel. Clean finish. $2.09 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, MA.
2.8 Surprised I havent rated this yeat. Bottle and draft. Golden orange color with medium head and too much carbonation. Notes of coriander, grain, overshadowed hops, and spice. Awful style to construct...no one wants gross wit coriander Belgian notes in their hops. The overly douchey and desperate stoner themes are annoying also.
3.9 Bottled version. I have had this many times, but for some reason forgot to rate it. Here goes: it’s slightly hazy light golden amber color. Frothy white head. Lovely citrus-spice aromas and flavor. Good honey malt backbone. Nice bready bitterness on the backside. A tasty, refreshing summer IPA, indeed. White IPA should be it’s own category though.
3.4 Draft. Golden pour with some white head. Light Belgian spice and yeast, touches of herbal hop Flavors. Strong Belgian notes, spice, coriander and a hop presence.
3.0 On tap at the Blue Dog. Poured a cloudy yellow color with white head. Coriander, citrus, and light straw.
3.4 12oz bottle from Xroads. Poured a clear gold body with a foamy white head. Aroma/flavor of Belgian yeast, citrus, baby aspirin, tangerine, apricot, light sugary sweetness. Flavor has a bit more grain and toast. Body has stronger carbonation, a medium mouthfeel and lingering carbonation.
3.3 Hazy golden color, on tap at The Purple Pub in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Not much aroma, but taste is pine and lemony. Has a bit of a funkiness to it that reminds me it’s an East Coast style white IPA. Still pretty good.
3.3 gold color; citrusy, hoppy aroma with a hint of coriander; hoppy and citrusy; lots of citrus flavor and mild spice notes; a decent, refreshing beer
4.3 A lot of beer purists scoff at all the sub-genres of IPA that have gained popularity in recent years (e.g. Session IPA, IPL, Black IPA, etc.). That makes Otter Creek something of a controversial brewery because they’ve been brewing beers of all these niche styles – are they just catering to the latest trend? It’s certainly possible, but one thing I do know is that nearly everything they attempt they do really well. Fresh Slice is their White IPA offering – a hybrid of an American IPA and a Belgian witbier. It’s very tasty and highly drinkable; two criteria for a great beer in my opinion. I poured a 12oz can into a flared snifter. There was no freshness date  It cost $2.60 ($0.22 per ounce). Appearance: Has the paleness of a witbier but the orange hue of an IPA. Extremely cloudy but far from opaque. Pours to an average size layer of white foam that retains and laces well. Smell: A lovely bouquet of orange sherbet, flowers, and a hint of spice. Taste: A “White IPA” can be viewed as either a witbier with a lot of hops, or an IPA with some spices. I’d say Fresh Slice falls into the latter category. Immediately there’s a familiar taste of orangepeel; though sweeter than most (it’s actually brewed with “natural clementine flavor”). There’s an underlying spice sensation, though that’s quickly overwhelmed but the hop bitterness and subsequent flavor. There’s a pretty strong dry bitterness with an orange citrusy taste through the middle; seemingly stronger than the 45 IBUs as listed on the can. As it goes down, the coriander spice that was subtle at first becomes quite strong and follows the hop bitterness and flavor perfectly. This taste process repeats but it never grows tiring; in fact, it actually seems to improve the more I drink. Definitely one of the best White IPAs I’ve had. Drinkability: At only 5.5% ABV and 45 IBUs, you could consider Otter Creek Fresh Slice a “white pale ale,” and it certainly has the body of one. The mouthfeel is a bit lighter and more crisp than the usual IPA; it goes quite easily and is even a bit refreshing for a moment. True, the hops do linger on the tongue with a drying/starchy sensation but that’s easy to tolerate. It’d be tempting to session this beer in warm weather – especially in canned form – though I think it’s better as a standalone beverage or something that would accompany any summertime food quite well. RATING: 9/10
3.9 Draft at the Irish Pol. Cloudy yellow pour. Thick bright white frothy top. Lots of lace. Lots of bitter/sour citrus pith. Blonde malts. 2 parts bitter. 1 part sour. 1 part sweet. Lemon slices. Orange passionfruit. White peaches. Nectarines. Persimmons. Starfruit. Apricots. Pineapple. Green plantains. Lemongrass. Coriander. Potpourri. Good amount of complex floral citrus flavors represented. Slight creaminess in the malts helps bring down the bitterness but still finishes nicely dry. Hard to be sure if the mix is ultimately thoughtful or haphazard but it works for me!
3.6 Big peach and nectarine nose and the mouth follows. Has a touch of the ice cream hop as it warms. It’s citrusy, tangy, but pretty mild.
3.3 Amber pour. Citrus nose. Very hoppy finish washes away the initial malt sweetness. Not bad.
2.9 Pours a hazy golden with lots of floaties. Aroma of citrusy hops, some spice. Flavor of coriander, some orange. Okay beer.
3.9 On tap. Clear Golden pour, minimal White head. Fresh Nose with a hint of orange, hoppy taste. Mild IPA, medium body, soft carbonation.
3.8 Golden and hazy foamy thin white head; soft yeasty banana aroma blended with soft hoppy spicy aroma; flava is grainy and hoppy some citrus notes and spice coriander nicely blended together; feels light with crisp zingy fizz; finishes slightly bitter dry with hints of citrus peel
3.7 Another bottle from my random grocer mix 6. Yellow orange small headed pour. Nose is citrus, bready, and spice. Tastes of orange peel, honey dew, coriander, bread, florals, some wheaty graininess. Semi sweet finish smooth drinker. Solid white IPA.
2.9 Bitter orange peel, a bit of spice, and a dry hint of hops. A bit raw and trashy, bitter but nondescript.
3.6 Bottle. Cloudy bright pale yellow/white. Tangerine and lemon with some spice. Very drinkable with a lot of flavor. Great stuff.
3.5 Pours a hazy amber with minimal white head. Smells of orange/tangerine. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter, mildly spiced - light citrus notes and sweet malt.
3.3 Bottle poured a cloudy gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, coriander, grapefruit, orange and floral notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of wheat, yeast, coriander, orange, light grapefruit and a hint of witbier spice with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.
