Summer Wheat Ale is a highly drinkable, light bodied ale. The use of wheat and careful hopping produce a beer with a flavor that is slightly tart, with a citrus-like finish.

2.2Used a weizen glass. This wheat ale tastes like a lager. Light aroma of lemon. The taste... well not much there. Very light citrus. I mean LIGHT. Summer beers should be light but come on!! This is a prime example of why wheat ales get a bad reputation. I wouldn’t spend money on this again.
3.3Bread dough aroma with a lemony tartness. Clear yellow, thin white head. Bread, barley malt, lemon, and grass flavor. Fairly nice level of hoppiness with a wheaty maltiness. Quaffable and flavorful. I’m not sure why the ratings are so low other than extremophile bias. I find this to be a nice session beer.
1.8Sour, offputting aroma. Pale yellow, fizzy head, stringy lacing. Musty, sour nose leads to a sour, sticky tasting beer with a poor wheat flavor. Tastes cheap and poorly balanced.
Couldn’t finish 2 oz sampler.
3.0Pours pale gold into a shaker. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour marshmallow aromas. Thin with sweet bananabread and grass and a lasting sour hay finish.
3.0Bottle. Clear gold color with a small white head. Aromas of mild wheat, orange, and honey. Flavor is wheat, mild orange, and some lavender and floral notes. LIght, with medium carbonation. Refreshing enough, but nothing great. [680]
3.8Pours a pale yellow with a white foamy head. Aroma is grainy with honey. Taste is bready malt in the front followed with a slight tartness that counters the malt nicely. End very crisp.
3.012oz bottle. Aroma of light malts and hops. Flavor about the same. Nothing special, but pretty refreshing. Average texture. An ok beer.
2.6Bottled@Monks Cafe, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Golden colour with a mediumsized foamy/fluffy white head. Aroma is mild citrus fruits along with some slight crisp maltyness as well. Flavour is quite crisp malts along with some slight citrus, wood and mild spices. A bit dishwatery feeling over it.
2.8Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving traces of lace. Clear pale amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Citrusy, metallic nose. Flavor has slight citrus, metallic, some hoppy bitterness, slight improvement from 7/2007. $1.85 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA.
2.9A golden blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. A lightly chalkey and herbal malt aroma, with light boiled veggies notes, corn. In mouth, a rather mundane blonde ale with very light hopping, medium bodied. On tap at American Flat Bread, July 12 2010
1.9Aroma is grapefruit, pine, some hay, and slightly skunky.
Appearance was a normal gold, no head at all.
Taste was heavily grapefruit with clove, alcohol, and resin notes. It leads to a mildly bitter aftertaste.
Palate is uninspiring. Consistency is very light and watery.
Overall maybe a session beer, best for a hot day after mowing the lawn. Slightly recommended.
2.6Bottle. Pours a transparent honey color with minimal head that recedes to nothing. Some bubbles shoot upwards. Nose is sweet honey, with a toasty malt note and some grapes as well. Palate is thin and crispy with a light syrupy note. Toasted malts and honey, with a light vinous note and a kind of dirty finish.
1.8golden, light sweetness, light body, thin feel, has a definate light beer taste
2.7Sampled on 6/17/2010. This wheat ale pours a very light gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal and grainy with a touch of floral hops. A light bodied wheat beer. The malts are cereal and grainy with a touch of sweetness. The hops are floral. A fairly light bodied wheat beer, with a touch of hoppiness. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
2.2Pours clear yellow with a decent white head and a standard light grain aroma. There is a thin nondescript wheat flavor and some slight hop bitterness.
2.5Bottle from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours gold with a decent foamy white head. Smells of very little - perhaps citrus. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is kind of flat wheat with some citrus. Ok. A touch papery in the finish. Not a lot too it.
2.6Not bad. Shared a bottled with my lovely girlfriend. Poured a light clear-yellow very little head. Mild nose of tin and light hops. Flavor was very metallic and tart with a light hoppiness to it. Super light. I drank this like water. Yes, some citrus on the tail end. Finished crisp, very crisp.
2.3The aroma is grainy, wheat. the appearance is piss yellow, white head. The flavor is very weak, light wheat, lightly malty, not remmarkable at all. The finish has a light bittering, from noble hops. Thin mouthfeel. At best, this is a passable lawnmower beer. Not good, but nothing too objectionable.
2.2This was an uninteresting mass produced tasting wheat beer. Nothing special or worth talking about.
2.6On tap at Max’s on Broadway. Light yellow golden pour with a thin white head. A bit of malt and hops on the nose. Flavor is super light, maybe can tell there’s some wheat in there. Straight up lawnmower beer, but that’s not a bad thing.
3.1on tap-pours a retaining thin white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is light malt/grain. Taste is light malt, grain, secondary spice hops at finish.
2.6From a bottle poured a light clear golden color with a fair amount of head. Grassy almost pilsner flavor and finish.
2.112oz bottle. Pours a very weak thin clear yellow golden with some soda bubbles and a big frothy but thin white sudsy foam. Aroma is slightly metallic and sour, has a macro feel, something creamy too, yogurt or yeast, wet wheat/cereal. First taste is slightly metallic, light bitter hops, slightly tart lemon, seltzer water, hint of creamy wheat and yeast. Body is quite thin with lots of corse larger soda bubbles, fairly dry and watery. Not offensive but super boring.
3.112 ounce bottle courtesy of maniac. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Nutty caramel aroma with some bread and toasty notes. Taste is citrus, bread, caramel, light leafy hops in the finish. Medium bodied. Fairly decent.
3.1Orange Park, Fl - Broudy’s Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Murky medium golden pour with a clingy white head. Aroma of lemon and fresh lake water. Buttery flavor with a bit of a lemon zest and a hint of a hoppy bite to it in the finish. good carbonation. Refreshing on a 100 degree day on weekend trip to Jacksonville.
2.5On tap at the Beechtree. Pours a clear light yellow with a thin white head. Starts off smelling rather dead, but as it warms it ends up smelling like plastic and vinyl, caramel popcorn, and a touch of citrus. Light, with a touch of corn and grain. One of the sole redeeming characteristics of this was the carbonation, which was rather nice. Finishes a touch bitter, and tasting of burnt corn. Not tasty at all. I couldn’t finish this and left about 9 out of 12 ounces in my glass. Gross.
3.2Old 2006 bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with minimal ring of near white head. Nose and flavor of sweet wheat, honey, and vanilla. Medium smooth body with extremely low carbonation, nearly flat, but somehow, enjoyable. Not bad despite three years of age!
2.1(bottle - 12 oz) Slightly cloudy golden color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is mostly dry wheat mixed with some stale grass and very light citrus. Flavor has a bitter wheat bite at the beginning. The spices aren’t apparent at all. Mainly the dryness of the wheat. Finishes very watery and grainy with a light sour note.
2.7Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 5/28/09
Aroma: Light nose, mostly citrus, a little wheat and some spice
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color, almost no head
Flavor: Pretty classic summer wheat flavor here, citrusy, wheaty, a little spice, and a just a touch tart
Palate: Light body, really easy drinking, thin, a little watery
Overall Impression:
It’s basically what you would expect from a summer wheat ale. A nice outdoor summer beer, but not nothing more.
2.8Bottle. Mild musty malt aroma. Pale yellow body, small white head. Mild wheat flavor, a bit spicy. Not bad.
