4.2 Clear rose gold w a thick, foamy head; low retention, and no lacing. Green grapes, green apple, brett yeast, barnyard musk, white wine, lemon. Well balanced, slightly tart and salty, low carbonation, light to medium body. Very Refreshing
4.1 Bottle from Echarle Huevos, served at home in a tumbler glass. Hazy yellow colour, medium head with very long retention, a bit of lacing. Aroma is funky, barnyard, citrics, green apples, apricot and grapes. Medium body, active carbonation, sour flavour, tart finish. Taste follows the aroma. Great one.
Nez assez puissant sauvage, brett classique, citron. Geuze moyennement acide, arômes brettés bien présentes, de zeste de citron. Rondeur plaisante mais finale fort courte. Corpulence moyenne, carbonatation moyenne.
2.3 Cork and caged 37.5cl bottle obtained many years ago: BB 29th Nov 2027. Drank this at home on 8th Jan 2021, to celebrate the adding of Belgian Provinces onto the RateBeer system/database. Cheers all those involved. Christ, I don't like Gueuze beers at all, why so many people go on about Lambic's is beyond me. This was tart, sour and like wine that the vinegar fly had infested. I have tried to embrace this ancient style but I can't.
3.4 Golden with a fast-settling head and a lemony, lightly funky and cheesy socks aroma. Light, earthy and tart-bitter, with a hint of lime and an underlying sticky sweetness.
3.6 Orange-gold pour, no head. Aroma of golden raisin, tangerine, apricot, clementine, honeysuckle. Taste follows, sharper, with a highly carbonated body and an astringent finish.
4.5 Citrus aroma, strong sour taste with no sweetness, very nice
3.2 Cloudy golden body. Aroma is citrus, funk. Taste is medium sweet at first, then bitter, somewhat hoppy in the finish.
4.0 Kolor złocisty, obfita piana. W aromacie mocno skórzane i drewniane klimaty, skórka z cytryny i jakieś morelowe nuty. W smaku dość kwaśne i owocowe. Poza cytrusami czuć też wyżej wymienioną morelę i powiedziałbym, że nawet lekki ananas. Są też nuty skórzane i stajenne. Wszystko fajnie zbalansowane. Nasycenie wysokie. Świetne piwo.
3.9 10.7.2020: 375 ml bottle, 6.5% ABV, vintage 2018, at Brasserie Au Trappiste, Bern. Pours a hazy dark golden with some floating particles and a frothy white head. The aroma is funky with notes of leather, horse blanket, wood, unripe gooseberries, white grapes and mold. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a medium acidity and a light to medium tartness. The flavor starts with lightly acidic funk, quiet some wood, tart white grapes, some white wine and leather. Finishes dry with a light residual acidity, woody and a woody tartness. Nice balance, woody with lots of character and depth. Aroma: 8 Appearance: 4 Taste: 8 Palate: 3 Overall: 16
4.0 Hazy golden, off white head. Funghi, cellar, plum, fermented fruits. Classic and superb.
2.7 Aroma; hops, lemon, soil, syrup, sour plum. Look; off-white big head on silky golden body. Taste; citric hops, lemonade, syrup, soil, green apple, n finishes in apple acids. Feel; ok body n co². Overall; it`s a nice cleanser, but monotonous. [cleaning garaž solo tasting, btl@Norway's Healthy Fluids Chain]
4.1 Oude geuze vieille
4.2 375 mL bottle poured. Picked this bottle up about 5 years ago. Not sure how old it was when I got it. Best before 14.03.2034. Planned on saving it to that day originally, but for multiple reasons, I'm doing some cellar clearing. A bright and somewhat thick orange pour, dense foam head. A nice tart front taste, some sour white grapes, a soft metallic note. Nice oak character here that lingers. Matching aroma. Really interesting geuze here. Like always, I wish I had a fresh one to compare.
3.8 375ml bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange gold, with no foam. Aroma is medium strong in barn, wild. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium sour, nice but not excessive. Final is fairly short.
2.2 Oranje kleurig bier.
4.2 Ciemnozłote, zamglone, z obfitą pianą i brzydkimi farfoclami. W zapachu kwaśne białe porzeczki, niedojrzałe winogrono, agrest, drewno, delikatne funky. Klasa! W smaku umiarkowanie kwaśne, winne, pestkowe, cierpkie, skórzane, z ziołowo migdałową, niedużą goryczką i dość wysokim wysyceniem. Mega ułożone. Bardzo fajne, choć te farfocle niezbyt apetyczne... Trochę skojarzenia z wytrawnymi cydrami w typie Czarny Ignac czy Cydr Smykan...
4.0 Bottle at ‘t Brugs Beertje. Clear golden. Off-white head. Funky yeasty toasty aroma. Funky and tart with some sharpness. Slightly fizzy and dry.
3.8 Tart,acid,wood.not too sweet,which is good.lasting CO2.very drinkable.bottled:10/10/16. Edit(18.01.2020): 2017/03 bottle:also spicy.had to increase the rating a bit.
3.6 Taster from bottle at private beer tasting on 22nd September 2019. Not a fan of sour beers, but this was quite good.
3.7 Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours golden clear color. Aroma of yeast, tartness, malts, citrus, earthy notes, grapes, white wine. Medium body, not stingy tartness, more fruity and winy than tart. Some bitterness, dry taste and aftertaste.
3.6 Dorée pétillante, mousse à 0,5 cm. Nez suret/pomme verte, groseille à maquereau, bois.
