3.8 Slightly cloudy yellow with a nice bubbly white head. Aroma of damp hay but with some underlying hint of red wine. Taste has some some funk but that is quickly overtaken by juice fruit, notes of red wine, twist of lemon. Crisp and very drinkable.
4.2 Bottle. Grote Dorst online shop. Light haze on a glowing gold. Thin and dense, lasting, white head. Nose has fruity red wine. Fusty oak. Curds. Taste is lightly tart, with a wonderful juicy red wine character. Smooth on the palate. Clean and crisp. Soft and foamy carbonation. More red wine juiciness to finish. Lovely stuff.
4.0 Bottle from Cornelius. Pours just-clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light funk and wood, lemon sharp and light acetic, sherbet. Taste is sharp sour, musty, dusty, in a good way. Tangy lemon finish.
4.2 Bottle from the LCBO. Slightly cloudy yellow pour, with a large white head. Aroma is very funky, loads of barnyard aromas, wet hay, and a very sharp wheat, and funky lemon. mouth feel is very lively, and super bright, with a very effervescent carb. The funk fades a bit, and becomes more tart, than funky in the end. Lots of funky lemon, sharp vegetal notes, with some more wet hay, and grasses.
4.3 Bottle at Stillwell. Beautiful clear golden pour. Aroma has a funky horse blanket aroma, some subtle nutty/oxidized sherry and a soft tartness on the back. The acidity is really well balanced by the barrel and it comes across as a bit of slickness on the palate. Dry but quite interesting. There’s a bit of tannic astringency on the back. Really lovely beer.
4.4 Vintage 2017 (14 February). W smaku kwasne winogrona utopione w occie jablkowym, dalej lepka gruszka z agrestem, do tego skorzane, pewna potliwosc, lekka slonosc, doskonale wytrawne zero slodyczy, zero kompromisow i zero sciemy i az 137 lat tradycji. Tradycyjna Specjalnosc gwarantowana, zreszta tym certyfikatem kazdy Lambick Oude Guze niemal posiada. Do piersi kurczaka lub salatki z tunczykiem wspanialy duet. polecam
3.8 Aroma: Funky horse-blanket, woody, citrus. Taste: Mellow lemon acidity that shines brightly, good balanced funk, dry pear juice, some barrel influence, pleasantly long and slightly bitter tannin finish in the back of my mouth. Another hugely drinkable Oud Beersel.
4.1 Bottle with the RateBeer München Tasting group at Hopdog, Munich Thurs' 23rd July 2020, big thanks to Stefan for bringing this beer along. I guess that Stefan is right, it's extremely good, softer, woodiness, much more mellow than expected, funky yes, fruity yes but huge drinkability.
3.9 Bottle, orange gold with a thin head. Super funky nose with a bit of rubber tire. Similar to the 137 bit a bit smoother, more balanced, very nice Tannins and red wine notes, quite drinkable - very complex. Really a hit.
3.9 Bottles, huge thanks Stefan. Misty golden, white head, fleeting. Fantastic funky, citric, light barrel, lovely aroma. Smooth tart-bitterish taste, but more soft, funky-herbal, hugely sessionable. Excellent!
4.0 Bottle, danke Stefan. Hazy golden, white foam. Fresh bretty nose, light wineskin and wood. Medium light mellow. Light wood, a hint almond, grape, pinenut, quick finish, light bubblegum retronasal.
4.1 Almost clear golden colour with little to none white head, aroma is strong on funk, barnyard, lemon, vinegar. Taste is very sour, lemon, wine, vinegar. Strong lambic
4.0 Bottle at 100 pív. Decent lambic. Tart, medium sourness. Smooth Riesling mouthfeel. Goodie.
4.6 Niesamowicie złożone zarówno w aromacie jak i smaku. Z każdym łykiem się zmienia.

4.2 A 375ml corked and caged bottle with a best before date of 14th February 2037. Poured into a Cantillon gueuze glass. It was a mostly clear golden colour with a thin white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse lacing. Aromas funky, barnyard, musty, green apple, straw, oak, lemon zest and lemon juice. Tastes lightly sour, funky, earthy, straw, hay, oak, green apple, lemon, with hints of sweetness, pineapple, grape, and vinous notes. Dry, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall very enjoyable. One of my favourites from Oud Beersel with good aromas and flavours, matched with a good balance between sour and sweet.

4.0 A : dusty, green apple, woody blue cheese, winy App: clear golden with smallish white head t/p: thin to med body with long acidic finish. Moderate high carbonation O: Good one. The barrel is well present tart with good level of funk.
4.2 Slight haze on a light golden beer. Smells quite funky and almost metallic, aged and grainy smelling with nice barrel. Taste is a lot of dry funk and a prickly palate. Many layers of flavour, expect to get richer with age. Fairly dry to even a little bit bitter. really nice.
3.8 2020-01-11. Lightly hazy orange body, small off-white head fades. Aroma has pleasant earthy funk, brett, hints at barnyard. Flavour is lightly acidic, very lightly earthy malt base, hints of lemon, apple seeds and tannins around the edges. A light vinous undertone that I hadn't picked out until I looked for it. Just a bit of a bite when you take a larger gulp. Average plus bodied palate, softly effervescent carbonation. Enjoyable. 7+/3/7-8/3/16+ Bottle aquired September 2018 via trade with Brian C.
4.0 Bottle - 375ml. Hazy, carbonated, golden body with an average, slowly fading, white frothy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with vineous, oaky, herbal, and citrusy hints. Its sharp malty/hoppy taste is similar to the aroma. Longe sour finish. Good stuff.
3.9 Bottle @Mikkeller Warsaw upon its farewell. Goodbye. Ancient golden clear color with a tick and white adhesive foam. Nose: citric, grainy, much lemon, lovely hint of wine. Mouth: moderate but form sourness, winey overall with same grapes mouthfeel, clean finish, the wine Is dominant in the mouthfeel and lovely.
3.9 From bottle at Biercafe Au Trappiste, Bern. Hazy dark golden color with a white head. The aroma is funky with some acidic funk, leather, wood, light citric notes, white wine and wood. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a light to medium acidity and a light to medium woody tartness. The flavor starts with unripe light berries and tart white grapes followed by some moldy and cellary funk, some leather and wood. Becomes more and more woody towards the finish. Finishes with a light woody tartness. Overall refreshing with well balanced funk and nice woody notes. Aroma: 8 Appearance: 4 Taste: 8 Palate: 3 Overall: 16
4.0 Schiuma bianca scarsa, a grana fine. Ambrata, poco velata. Buona intensità olfattiva. Aromi: albicocca, fenolico, animale, lattico, muffa, legno bagnato, affumicato, rigurgito. Intensità gustativa elevata. Gusto in prevalenza acido deciso. Si avvertono note dolci e amare. Corpo esile, leggera frizzantezza e astringenza. Retrolfatto citrico e lattico. Partenza neutra, veloce virata su acido, finale secco con tocco di amaricante e astringenza. Molto buona.
4.2 Bottle (£18 😮😮) at the Greenwich Union, Greenwich. Amber pour with a white head. Nose is onion, lemon juice, barnyard, green apple. Flavours of lime, lemon rind, more green apple, classic lambic funk. Like this very much.
4.1 Bottle from Bruxelles. Hazy pale color, white head. Mineral, sœur, very nice
3.8 Bottle from Magic Beer Room. Barnyard, yeast, wine, grapes, oak barrel, funk, acid. Hazy amber color with no head. Barnyard, citrus, funky, more acidity, wine and oak barrel. Thin body, average carbonation, kind of like champagne. Dry and sour finish.
3.9 Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is subtle with lemon and grape notes followed by a light peppery, herbal note and faint musty notes. light oak. Pours a rather clear, gold color with a large, thick pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is similar to the Oud Beersel foeder blends they have bottled recently. A bit on the sweet side with a light, well rounded and soft acidity. Light grain notes. This one is a bit more bitter - medium light. Medium light oak notes with some lemon and red grape notes. Hints of pineapple, musty, earthy notes and a light floral, herbal note in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, another decent geuze, but nothing I would spend anytime chasing. Again, I wish this was a bit less carbonated so i could lay a couple down to see how they age.
