3.9Sample at TCBW 2018. Pours golden yellow colour. Moderate white head. Barnyard, minerality, earthiness, herbal notes in the aroma. Earthy, mineral and sour beginning. Acidic, mineral and sulfury in the middle. Sulfury, slightly citrussy, vineous, oaky and bit fruity finish. Dry as well. Woody and acidic finish. Well balanced, complex brew.
3.0Tap at TCBW2018. Bretty and citric beer, sourness, funk and berries. Dry finish. Would drink again.

3.9Goods From the Garden at Spuyten Duyvil: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is barrel, brett, wood. Taste is earthy and quite sour. Quite good.
4.0Bottle pour at State of Origin 2018. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that dissipates. Lots of brett and wet horseblanket in the nose with some toasted malt character. Crisp and clean with active carbonation. Dry and bretty on the palate with some light lemon and slight creamy vanilla wood notes. Well-rounded mouthfeel and lingering wet hay, lemon and grass on the finish. Solid.
3.8Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has botanicals, light fruits, grass and a bit of tart fruits. Flavor has a nice tart light fruit note with botanicals and grains underlying.
2.6Keg (TCBW 2018). Clear dark golden color. Small size, beige head, stays. Brett, funky, fruity, sweet, sour, twiggy in aroma. Sweet, sour, farmhouse, funky, berries and citrus in taste. Sour and bretty in aftertaste. Drinkable brew.

Hazy yellow colour, steady white head. Tart, a bit plastic aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tart, grapes, apple in the flavour. Ok.
3.8From backlog. Draught @ TCBW 2018. Smooth, funky, tartish with some woody and oaky notes, hints of bretta. Okay.
3.6Tap at TCBW 2018. Pours yellow. Aroma is bretty, fruity, citrus, floral. Flavor follows the nose. Finish has some dryness. Overall: good brew, love the brett.
3.4Tap at TCBW, Tallinn. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, dryness, some Belgian yeast and malts.
3.8Bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is really nice, barnyard, light fruit, light floral hops, oak. Flavor is nice and dry, funky, mildly tart. Medium body, crisp, average carbonation. Good stuff.
3.5From notes. Pour at Zwanze Day 2017 at Jolly Pumpkin on September 23. The pour is more of a chunky looking orange yellow with a thin ring of dense white head that falls away quickly without a trace. The aroma is really interesting. There is a tart funky saison right up front with a nice oak and wood that increases in depth. The yeastiness works really well and there is no spiciness, which I enjoy. The flavor is much of the same. The lack of spice is really nice with the yeast, and tart citric fruitiness. There is a good oak that lingers and adds complexty. The mouth feel is lighter and clean with a soft carbonation and a lingering funky yeast that balances this out at the end. This is pretty damn solid. 6 4 7 4 14
4.4We had this at beer school on September 10, 2017 it was a very nice farmhouse ALe a little bit on the sout side
4.0Shelton 2017. Pours a hazy golden yellow with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma of big funky brett notes, a hint of vanilla oaky must, and a nice citrus undertone. Taste follows, big flavor all around, with a nice soft balance and mouthfeel. Would love to taste a bottle with a bit of age on it, but tasty even how it is.
3.8500mL bottle. Pours hazy gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is oak, nectarine, funk, hay, and green grapes. Taste is citrus, oak, earth, funk, yeast, cheese, and some earth. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. The barrel-aging lends interesting sour/funk/oaky character to the beer although Farmhouse Pale Ale is a strong lightly funky beer in its own right - maybe even preferable. The sediment is what makes this beer - without it the palate is crisp and astringent and the taste isn’t as full.
4.1Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Brett, wood, hay, earth, toast, vanilla, spices, sweeter finish.
4.0(500ml March 2016 bottle from Mikkeller and Friends Bottleshop, Copenhagen) Rather a gusher. Pours slightly hazed medium gold with a big white head that fades to a ring with lace. Aroma of white grapes, quite tart white wine on the path to vinegar, lemon acidity, fruit skins, oak, herbal/floral hoppy notes, a decent helping of earthy, lightly sulphurous funk. Flavour is quite dry overall, slightly crackery mixed-grain malt feeling, quite a lot of dry tannic oak, hay, herbal hops, slightly tart citrus fruit quality with a little unripe pit fruit. The finish is extremely dry, a lot of neutral, tannic oak, bittering hops, dusty Brett, herbs, citrus pith. Medium bodied, slightly oily, soft effervescent carbonation. Really solid dry funky BA saison, heavy on the wood end of things, nice brew.

3.6Poured from a March 2016, 500 ml bottle.
Aroma is a bit muted. There is some light cracker malt notes as well as some light oak. Hints of acidity with some light citrus and green grape notes.
Pours a somewhat hazy, dull, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and faint legs.
Flavor has a medium light sweetness with a light acidic note. Medium light cracker malt notes with moderate bitterness. Light to medium light oak. The finish has a weird note which I guess is the citrus from the acidity combining with the citrus from the hops. Its not readily identifiable as citrus and it definitely has an herbal, spicy component as well.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, I’m not sure if its the age or what, but its a bit disappointing. The aroma is very muted and the flavor is fairly muted as well. The hop notes are not very bright and the ester levels are pretty low as well.
3.475 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear gold with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are brett, wood, lemons, and yeast - with a slightly dry finish.
4.4Rating #2483 - 2016.05.03 - Bottle at Bru Pours a clear golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma is oak, floral, estery, Brett. Medium-high carbonation, medium alcohol warmth, decent body. Palate holds more barrel character, with loads of funky Brett and sweet fruity notes. Lovely.
4.1C & C bottle from Pangaea. Pours hazy gold with a huge foamy white head and a fruity oak aroma. There is a slightly sour pale malt flavor with a hint of brett and an oak finish. Delicate and very delicious.
3.9Bottled March 2016. 500 ml poured into a teku glass.
L: Clear golden yellow, Small layer of white foam settles into a thin ring and white film on top of the beer.some lacing and bubbles sticking to the side of the glass.
S: Funky Brett barnyard aromas
T: Brett funk and some light oak and vanilla characteristics. Under-ripe peach, and apple notes. Light tartness.
F: Dry, yet crisp with a soft bubby carbonation. Slightly tart on the backend.
O: An easily drinkable, fun and tasty funky pale farmhouse ale.
4.0Bottle @ Oxbow. Cloudy golden beer with a tall white head. Has a really nice yeast driven/estery fruitiness of pineapple, orange, tangerine, and grapefruit. Solid start! Tropical and grassy qualities are quite pronounced both on the aroma and flavor. Lightly tart with a bit of biscuit and honey sweetness. Finishes with a touch of earthy bitterness. A good beer.
4.1Bottle pour. Incredible grassy aroma. Pours a slightly cloudy gold. Flavor is subtle and the finish incredibly smooth. Wish there was more of a bite. Good though.
3.8Funky pineapple nose. Funky oaky taste, with some peach stone fruit. Finishes a bit sweet - nice.
2.7March 2016 bottle.
Funky unappealing smell, as is common for this style. The flavor is better. Medium high carbonation. Refreshing. Some funk and fruit in the aftertaste that lingers on and on.
4.1500 ml bottle. Pours an orange with barrel notes and light funk and oak and mellows into this overall goodness. Apricot and peach. Excellent.
