1.5Bière reçue dans une box saveur bière, robe claire, pas de mousse, pas mauvais à la première gorgée mais on s'en lasse très vite, ça reste assez fade
2.2Bottle@Mariachi, Edinburgh. Malty, yeasty, mildly citrusy. Drinkable with food.
2.4When enjoyed in a refreshing gulp, Pacifico is almost delicious. But it's not really sippable.
As soon as you pause, give the beer some time in your mouth, there's a strong bitter aftertaste, as if the alcohol was added to an otherwise finished product and hasn't quite blended in.
That said, a little lime, some chips and quac and a few beers in, and this one will do.
Points for the yellow can too.
1.8The can is bright yellow. And has a life preserver on it. I imagine this is to increase the safety of drinking it. It has all the typical qualities of a pale yellow Mexican corn beer. Not much taste. Sweet, but with a grainy sort of taste and just a hint of hops.
Corn beer.
That is what it is. Probably much better sitting in the sun on a beach than in most other contexts.
This one is a little thicker than the rest of the crowd... but even that comes across as just a little syrupiness.
Extra-meh. Would drink it if this was all there was. In the genre I prefer Sol.
5.0Solid beer. Very distinct taste. My fav Mexican beer
2.1Pours good, small head.
Nose shows hay, solvent notes, spicy hops.
Flavours include hay, sweet vegetal notes, little else.
3.2355ml bottle in Las Iguanas, Glasgow (£3.95):
Light amber & clear with a half cm, bubbly white head that turns soapy surface lacing soon after. The nose is basic & slightly sweet, corn adjuncts & cereal dominated with faint grassy notes but it's inoffensive at least. The taste is similarly basic, corn & sweet adjuncts with hay & touches of biscuit. It's smooth & very light, somewhat refreshing & better than expected.
3.3Great Mexican piss, has some great citrus action, so drinks great sans lime
2.9Bottle at Amigos, Bury St Edmunds. Malty aroma with a touch of grains. Light gold. Frothy white head. Light bitter. Big malty dose adds sweetness but avoids saccharine. Light bodied. Watery. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Alright inoffensive lager.
2.0Gold pour, no head. Nose is malt. Middle is light kilned malt, some adjuncts, slight herbal hops. Finish good when cold.
2.6Aroma of grain and malt. Taste is grain, malt, cereal, some slight hop. Very basic but decent lager.
2.8Old rating from 2012 - 330ml bottle, pours golden with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of cereal, herbs, grain & malt. Moderate body. Crisp & light bitter finish
2.7Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 2A). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium-low oxidized malt aroma (pappery/cardboard), low dried-grass hop notes and faint diacetyl. medium-low corny background. APPEARANCE: light gold color and cristal clear. medium-low white head with low retention. TASTE: initial medium oxidized flavor (carboard), followed by low corn and slight sweet malt background. medium bitterness with a dry and corny finish. MOUTHFEELL: low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: yet another oxidized pale lager.
2.7Lemony, light. Went well with Mexican food on a warm day.
2.0Una cerveza con una espuma generosa pero fugaz, notas leves a bollería, aunque refrescante.
2.5Decent beert
2.0Aroma: maíz, malta
Apariencia: Dorada, clara, espuma blanca, poca retención,
Sabor: malta, maíz, poco a cereal
Sensación: delgada, poco amarga
4.0Preferred it with a lime in to without 🍻. Otherwise similar to most Mexican beers 🇲🇽.
2.4Aromas- Light malty sweetness with slight notes of dusty clothes and honey and that's about it.
Appearance- Clear golden colour with minimal weak white foam.
Palate- Medium body with thin texture leaving a fruity finish.
Taste- Sweet/Bland of pale malts, straw and light dust.
Overall- Okay for pee-water (NA Lager) nothing bad with it, just bland.
2.1Many thanks for this beer to Jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com) Piwo ma srednia pianke ale w miare stabilna, zlocista brawe etykiete przypominajaca mi rumy. W smaku zwykle lagerowe, troche nudne, ale zlych, takich odp[ychajacych smakow tez sie nie doszukalem, na upaly czemu nie.
2.8Thin beer with a hint of fruitiness. Overall it’s kinda flat and not that interesting in taste. If served cold it would be good for a hot summer day though.
1.4Aroma; fermented fruit, juicy pale malts, sugar. Look; off-white diminishing head on pale golden clear body. Taste; pale malts, boozy fruit, minerals, and finishes down the drain. Feel; thin body n normal co². Overall; it`s meh. [čištění garáže, lahvové pivo, koup@obchodě]
1.1Bottle. Striaght from the bottle. Corny, cardboard, papery, watery in aroma/taste. Nope.
2.1Robe dorée limpide, mousse très moyenne, reste vite un disque incomplet. Carbo moyenne. Nez léger, de grain, attaque légère, presque aqueuse, pointe "acidulée" de lager bas de gamme, amertume sans arômes en finale. Beuarf...
2.3Pours a light golden with a small effulgent head. The aroma is light grain and cereal. Taste is medium sweetness and some grain, bit of malt, and straw. Mouthfeel is medium and average carbonation. Nothing fancy but goes well with Carne Asada!
2.5Refreshing N. American pale lager. A lime will suffice to boost the beer up a bit. The head lasts and my glass was able to sustain three streams of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Decent.
1.8Golden, clear with a minimal white head. Aroma of straw and som citrus. Minimal bitterness, with a minimal straw and citrus end? Watery
2.9From a bottle with a lime. Clear gold with a decent lasting head. Typical pale lager. Refreshing.
2.2Drunk from the bottle with a wedge of lime. A light Mexican lager. Nothing special, but quite refreshing and inoffensive. Extremely bland with little hop flavour or, indeed, much taste of anything.
