Paljas Saison

Paljas Saison is an unfiltered and high fermented Ale with refermentation in the bottle. The use of a certain percentage of wheat and the little use of dry-hopping gives the beer a very nice flavor and fresh aroma. Specific yeast makes sure almost all sugars are fermented which makes it a dry and fluent drinkable beer for nice summer days.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, wheat, hops (Magnum, Cascade, Saaz, Amarillo; dry-hopping - Citra), yeast.

3.5 Rocky white head left a blotchy vover on a lemon coloured still body. Citrus, yeast & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, light over the palate with sharp clean back. Clean tasting with bitter/sweet citrus, lemon, grain & yeast tastes with a spicy fruity finish.

3.5 Bottle, köszi anya! Pours deep, semi hazy golden with immediately disappearing head. Nose is malts, floral and fruity notes. Taste is yeasty, fruity and floral again, sweet altogether but has a bitter touch to it too, mainly in the finish that lasts long. Light bodied with lively carbonation, quite refreshing.

3.5 Superb funky aroma in a hazy yellow gold pour. Similarly enticing funky farmhouse flavours are a little thin at the end. Otherwise pretty tasty.

2.9 Bottled 0,33L. Pale yellow and hazy blonde color, unclear aspect with medium bubbly and foamy white head. Fresh and bit stringing aroma, acidulous and aged fruity notes. Medium prickly taste, watery texture, fresh floral body, light sweet yeasty and white pepper final.

3.3 Bière 33 cl trouvée à Market boissons à Wattignies. Couleur dorée pale, un peu brumeuse, mousse abondante et moyennement durable. Arômes fruités et fleuris, notes de levure, céréales, citron, on retrouve des notes typiques des bières belges. Bouche légèrement houblonnée, notes d'agrumes et de citron. Amertume modérée. Pour avoir testé la Paljas blonde et pour ne pas être fan de saison en général, je m'attendais à ne pas l'apprécier... Mais finalement c'est plutôt une bonne surprise dans son registre, rafraîchissante et désaltérante.

Spicy yeasty and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon zest, a touch of lime, notes of fresh hay, hints of mustard seed, some green apple, wheaty undertones. Taste is dry, citrusy hoppy and minimally spicy yeasty, hints of fresh hay and white pepper, lemon, lime peel. Very refreshing - very nice.

3.2 Sample at SBWF 2018. Hazy golden/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, light spices and some mild funk. The finish was on the dry side.

3.5 Bottle. Cloudy straw yellow. One finger tall dense head. Aroma: spicy, almost leathery yeast, fruit, pale malts. Light plus body. Taste: yeasty, really spicy, notable hopping. Rather good.

4.0 Bottle, 330 ml. What a nice Belgian Saison! Murky amber, good foam until a while, after disappearing. Smells like sweet (sweet banana, vanilla, lemon pie). It's like a Belgian Witbier, but it's different. More acidic, more lemony, more lively, more vibrant. Seasonal beer u can hardly find anywhere else but here. Great one, i have to say, amazing suggestions again.

3.0 Pours hazy golden with a decent white head. Mild hoppy aroma. Taste is a combination of hoppy, slightly bitter flavours, some citrus, some spice and a little booze.

4.2 0,33l bottle. Cloudy hay yellow colour with intense bubbling and an everlasting huge white head. Aroma: Driead fruits, candy sugar, yeasty tones. Taste: Sweet very fruity start with tarty tones and a medium and tasty bitter mouthfeel. (grapefuit) Very well balanced and shows all the basic caracters in harmony. Medium body with medium carbonation. Long very pleasent bitter and dry finish. A very tasty beer.

Medium dry bitter refreshing, light sweet, light spicy. Medium body, silky texture, good carbonation, dry bitter spicy refreshing finish. Overall, good ! Nice saison.

3.7 Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a big, frothy white head that relaxes into a creamy film. Expressive saison yeast in the aroma, phenols, cracked wheat, hay, semi-ripe lemon. Light-medium sweet flavour with plenty of wheat bread, more yeast, a little dough, modest grassy bitterness, faint banana chips and meringue. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Just a hint of boozy warmth to finish, with more saison yeast, lemony notes, dried wheat bread, some bitter grass and straw. A solid, classically styled saison.
