4.0 (Bottle) Almost black colour with lasting, dense, beige head. Roasted, malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of oak wood, dark fruit and dark rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, a touch of blueberries and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with just a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made stout with coffee and cacao exploding on the palate. Lovely beer!
3.7 Piwo doskonałe w swoim gatunku, kremowa konsystencja. Główne smaki dominujace w piwie bazują na kawie i czekoladzie. Stout ma długi, wyraźny finisz. W aromacie przewaga nut kawowych. Bardzo złożone, a jednocześnie zbalansowane piwo.
3.8 Had this bottle in the cellar for almost a year, and it has grown in the bottle. Very well rounded fes stout, it hides its abv very well, being dangerously drinkable.
4.0 Buena espuma beige con buena retención. Aromas a cacao, café y maltas tostadas. Buen cuerpo. En boca algo también cacao. Una buena stout.
3.3 On tap at partizan brewery. Coffee, oak, more coffee. Lovely nose. Flavour is light for abv. Lots of bubbles too. Coffee, chocolate, smoke wood finish. Carbonation is a bit too high and body let’s it down. Maybe a bit of age will help.

You know the alcohol is there but it doesn’t take over!
3.5 Bottled 20/12/13. 8.2%. Pours a deep brown/black with a little reddy brown in the light. Fresh, coffee, grassy, clean aroma. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Bitter espresso, choc, coke, rum... It may still be a bit too cold and I’m being unnecessarily impatient. Anyway, I can’t be bothered to go into more detail. it’s good.

4.3 Bottle at Cask, London on 13 April 2013. Poured a thick, pitch black colour with a large, dense tan head. Huge, rich aroma of roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate and some liquorice. Wonderful, full creamy mouth feel. Full bodied flavours of bitter coffee, dense fruit cake and dark fruit. Finish was wonderful espresso bitterness mixed with bitter burnt malt, balanced perfectly with black syrup. Wonderful beer.

4.2 330 ml bottle from Ales By Mail, served in a snifter. Bottled on 25-04-2013. Like pouring motor oil, thick, very dark, looks pitch black in the glass with absolutely no light passing through. Wonderfull dark brown fluffy head, good lacing. Not the most powerful and "in your face" aroma, but very complex and subtle, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, a huge amount of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate, plus a hint of dark fruits (think berries). Perfectly balanced in the mouth, with a slight coffee and roasty bitterness that counteract a chocolaty, almost milky sweetness. A light ashy/smoky sensation on the tongue as well. The body is velvety full, with a oily texture that coats the lips, and a soft and gentle carbonation. No trace of the alchool at all, ridiculously well hidden. A damn well crafted foreign stout, nothing more to add!
