2.5 Drank in Belgium, rating from memory for completion purposes. Glass at Bier Central, Antwerp, thanks to Uncle Richard.
3.0 Verfrissend
2.9 At 't Lusthof, Denderwindeke. Pours clear golden with a lasting, small, white head. The aroma contains yeast, malt, apple, spices, hops & herbs. It tastes medium spicy bitter and light fruity sweet; ending dry & hoppy, slightly metallic. Medium body, slick (but bordering on watery) texture, fizzy carbonation. Forgettable.
2.7 Aroma: Medium-light sweetness. banana. Light pepper. No hops. Appearance: Clear, golden body. Small, cream colored head. Fair retention. No lacing Flavour: Medium-light spiciness, peppery banana. Light bitterness. Slightly dry finish with lingering banana. Mouthfeel: High carbonation. Meidum body. Light warming. Overall: A fair example of style, but missing complexity. 330 ml bottle, poured. 25A. Belgian Blond Ale
3.0 On tap at Taphouse. A bit hazy golden with a white head. Mild with fruit, some bread, yeast and light grain. On the sweet side.
3.4 0.33 l bottle from 'Prik & Tik' (Tongeren), best before August 2018. Slow gusher. Clear, golden amber with a large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy, floral and quite fruity aroma of peach, coriander, vanilla and some clove. Quite sweet, yeasty-spicy, slightly floral and moderately fruity taste of vanilla, peach, coriander, some clove and a touch of banana, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Very decent, has a nice fruity character which matches the apparent yeast aromas pretty well.
3.4 Robe dorée, fine mousse. Nez sur les épices, le miel, les fruits jaunes. Bouche à l'attaque explosive, le miel domine, la bulle est ronde, la finale douce. Une blonde d'hiver.
3.3 From bottle. Transfer of an earlier rating without text recorded, rating only.
4.5 appearabce: slightly hazy golden, big fluffy head. Aroma: yeast, breast. Palate: medium mouthfeel, high carbonation. Taste: peppery and spicy on tip of tongue. light banana and yeast flavours follow. slightly sweet mid-tasting. Strong Belgian flavours and light alcohol on aftertaste. Overall I like
3.2 Dégustée en hiver 2007-2008 au Saint-Bock (De mes notes papiers). .
3.1 33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A bright amber pour with a billowing loose whiet head and lots of carbonation; yeasty aroma with a trace of banana; sweet grainy body with some barley sugar; and a slightly drier finish. A basic Belgian blond.
2.5 Absolutely nothing interesting here. Sweet, no bitterness to balance it out. Very underwhelming.
3.0 From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours crisp gold, classic, with fine white foam. Aroma is grain and lemony. Body is relatively dense with quote some carbonation. The getting is the one of a full mouth. Taste is markedly sweet with some underlying bitterness. Finish is long and sweet, even too much.
3.5 Bottle 33cl. Light yellow, big white head, little carbonation. Slightly sweet aroma with hints of grain. The taste is surprisingly bitter but turns mildly sweet but the bitterness returns full online in the aftertaste.
3.5 A bottle from Beers of Belgium drunk at Dad’s place while home on leave. Aroma: fruit, gooseberries. Appearance: hazy golden, big head dissipates rapidly. Palate: medium-bodied and sticky, average carbonation, refreshingly astringent at the finish. Taste: sweet and bitter - well balanced. Fruity with a slight flavour of salt. Interesting and good.
2.9 On tap at Ölbaren in Copenhagen. Fruity smell with pale bread, apples and yeasty spices. Similar taste, sweet. Lacks something....
3.9 Belgian ale molto buona, un po' speziata al naso, soprattutto miele e scorza di pane al palato. Tendente al dolce, ma comunque abbastanza equilibrata. Soddisfacente!
3.7 Foggy yellow. Nice white head. Malty & yeasty aroma & taste. Pleasant blonde ale.
3.5 From tap at Taphouse. A hazy golden coloured beer with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, yeast, spice, fruit, hops, straw and sweetness.
3.4 F: big, white, slowly collapsing. C: pale gold, light hazy. A: malt, orange peels, spicy, hint of honey, fruity, hint of yeast. T: malt, light grassy, floral, spicy, honey, peach, mellow fruity, medium body, medium to high carbonation, quite good balanced if nothing very special, 0,33l bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck.
3.7 on tap at le saint-bock, mtl. unclear light but bright gold with a nice creamy white head offering good retention and lacing. lightly honeyed and deeply peppered cereals, white loaf bread with seemingly rustic flour; very grassy noble-like hops, delicately earthy, savoury belgian yeast. moderate carbonation - could be a tad brighter; light body - oily; semi-sweet and still balanced grassy-herbal finish. a very peppery and quite crushable belgian ale.
3.4 330ml bottle @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Dorata viva, lievemente torbida, schiuma bianca media, abbastanza persistente. Al naso sentori di malto, lieviti, spezie. In bocca è equilibrata e semplice, dolce all’attacco con finale discretamente amaro. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Ok.
3.0 Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is pale malt, coriander, spicy yeast, soft fruity notes, mild sugary. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Pretty ordinary Belgian Blond, good yeast in the aroma, sweetish, simple but drinkable.
2.5 Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Cannes, France. Hazy golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a slight sugary sweet herbal lemon and toffee flavour with grassy notes and a slight soapy, warming, spicy fruity finish. Ok.
3.3 Tap@Black Swan, Copenhagen (26/06/2016) - pours gold with a white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, yeasty, some spices, medium body, bitter sweet spicy finish.
3.4 Draught at Black Swan. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma medium malty (bread), light hoppy and yeasty (fruity). Flavor medium sweet, light bitter and fruity. Medium + body.
3.2 Blond bier met witte wandklevende schuimkraag. Geur: gistkarakter, moutzoetig, brood. Smaak: zoetig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: iets zoetig. Braaf biertje.
3.4 Bottle@bette ølhus with Stefan. Floral fine yeasty notes. Fine slight peppery flavours. Dry bone. Fine elegant.
