A rich, deep golden-colored lager fest bier that is exceptionally smooth and mellow. Uses two-row malted barley and a combination of roasted malts. Highly rated by the National Tasting Institute.

3.1Bottle at hidden valley. Dark golden color, almost no head. Some caramel aroma with slight grains, grass. Light bitter taste. Light body. above ave carbonation. Crisp and pretty smooth. Lacking a bit of flavor. Average.
3.2Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of grain, toasted malt, and caramel. Citrus flavor with toasted malt, caramel, and toasted malt. Nice beer.
3.3A little thin but with the requisite chewy grain and and toasty caramel malt. Grassy hops, nice, smooth, and easy to drink.
2.9Draft at Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Pours a clear yellow-orange with a small white head. The aroma and flavor are both light, but more so the nose. Notes of crackers, straw, toast, bread, caramel, and a hint of grass. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp mouthffeel. Not much to it.
2.1Growler. kInd of briny not too pleasant smell. Cloudy orange look..with a taste that is heavy on malt..but not enough fall flavor for me. Not my favorite.
3.6growler pour. clear light orange with a small, stable white head. lively carbonated appearance. light notes of toast and toffee with faint bittering hop. smooth palate with a medium body with a lagery slickness. very solid and sessionable.
3.3Lemon, spice, grass, malt. Hazy orange with minimal white head and lace. Medium body and carbonation. It has an excellent sticky quality to it. Some caramel comes through.
2.7Had on draft @ the Windber Hotel, in the bar, in Windber,PA .. . deep orange .. light caramel .. . a bit thin .. decent and mostly on the level .. . . purple moose?
2.72008 750mL bottle I bought back in 2008 for a trade that never was completed because of those stupid Canuck custom agents. I think it was meant for Boutip. I saved it all these years hoping to meet Boutip somewhere and along the way but Im not sure he would want it now and I’m not even sure I do. But it is probably my longest cellared beer so I figure it deserves a good rate. Hopefully it is drinkable. Pours a pretty clear amber with a light natural haze. Nose is lightly fruity, hints of dextrinous malt, some tart fruits, sherry/oxidation notes. Flavor shows its age, thinning, light carboard, old malt, some light sweetness, light tartness. Im giving this beer a little bit the benefit of the doubt since its so old and is clearly supposed to be consumed much, much fresher. Not bad considering its age. Better than some local fresh renditions I have had recently.
3.212 oz. bottle. Pours a light, cloudy orange with a thin, white head. The aroma is sugar, wheat, caramel, resin, and vegetables. The flavor is very sweet, with a very faint bitterness in the finish. The palate is light to medium, crisp, effervescent, and a little sticky. Overall, this is a clean, refreshing and well made beer. Not bad.
2.7Starts with a doughy, bready aroma. Medium amber color -light for the style. Sweet syrupy taste, no much going on for hops. Light body feel - consistency of a draught soft drink. Porbably the last of these I’ll have before the fall, and not a bad one.
3.2although not the easiest style to rate very highly, usually mild in flavor and strength, not the most unique color or aroma, this is typical oktoberfest, a little buttery which is nice.
1.512oz bottle. Heavy aroma of bread dough, notes of floral. Pours orange with a nice film. Tastes of sour dough, grass, and copper. Not the best Mouthfeel. Not very good.
3.1Not the best beer to celebrate the harvest, but it’s a local brew and I’ll refrain from any criticisms since the brewery is just down the street from my house.
3.7Draft at Quaker Steak. Pours brown with an inch of white foam. Big bubble gum on the nose. Nice caramel notes on the tongue. Clean finisher. Pleasantly surprised.
3.0[Bottle] Pours an even amber color with a quickly receding white head. Dry and grainy nose. Toasted malt and sweet caramel notes in the taste. A mild grassy finish. The body here was a little light. Nice carbonation levels. The alcohol is noticeable in here. A pretty run of the mill beer overall.
3.2Coppery color with a thinnish tan head. Malty with a bit of sweetness and spice (nutmeg, cinnamon). Not bad.
3.012oz bottle from beer of the month club. Pours orangish amber with an off-white head. Aromas of caramel, light fruits, and bready malts. Flavors of bready malts, caramel, little bit of grassy hop note. Not a bad oktoberfest, but I liked Bells version that I had last night more.
3.0Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 09/23/2011. Clear orange pour with lively carbonation and a thick eggshell white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and caramel. Light effervescent body with flavors of caramel, toasted malt and mild hops. The finish is sweet and malty. Average overall.
3.012 oz bottle, purchased @ Julio’s Liquors for $2.29 with Wild Six discount. Served in a lager glass. Hazy gold/ orange like color. Lightly sweet malt aroma. Full, thick white head, some light lace. Very simple, upfront Marzen. Hops and caramel malt. Decent.
3.1Draft. Pours golden amber with an off white head. Toasty and bready aroma with some light toffee notes. The flavor is sweet and bready with toffee and light toasty notes. Not bad.
3.3Growler in Brooklyn. Pours amberish, transparent, standard oktoberfest stuff here with caramel etc. Good enough
3.2Hazy copper color with a white head. Fruity aroma and flavor atop of a base of grainy malt with a hint of caramel. Fairly dry for the style.
3.3A typical Oktoberfest beer, this seems a little watered down, but enjoyable. I l;iked the fact that is was a bit hoppy, not as hoppy as I would like. Do able brew, good the the fall months.
3.8very nice beer one of my favorites from this brewery. grassy herbal hops present with a slight hint of alcohol in the after taste. notes of caramel and toasr present as well.
better than some of the imported oktoberfest beers i think.
3.5Light orange, off white cover. Aroma is toast, caramel, grassy hops. Taste is more toasted hops than heavier caramels, a lighter fest beer, but a good one nonetheless.
1.8Tastes very watery. No flavor at all. How can this bear the name Oktoberfest?
2.8Reviewed from notes.
Pours a moderate brown color with a bit of a white head. The nose is some very slight caramel and a bit of bread. Some toffee. The taste is really plain and actually brings in a tiny amount of light cardboard. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation. The flavor interferes with enjoyment here and this, all around, is not a terribly great beer.

3.5Aroma of sweet bready malts. Taste is similar with bready malts and a very slight amount of bitterness and toastiness. Overall a pretty good oktoberfest.
3.2On rap. Poured a deeper golden color with a small sized head. Aromas of roastiness. Caramel, and lighter earthiness. Tastes of the same.
