Perennial Peach Berliner Weisse

Perennial Peach Berliner Weisse

Our Peach Berliner Weisse is a German-style tart wheat beer that’s perfect for the hot summer months. We violate traditional German beer production methods in every way by adding hundreds of pounds of Midwest-grown peaches to each batch. We hope you enjoy the irreverence as much as we do.

3.7 Pours a nice milky light peach color. Lots of white head. Aromas are light peach and lemon. Yogurt too. Flavors are sour peaches, Greek yogurt, snappy finish. Refreshing. A touch watery.
3.3 [Tap] Cloudy yellow pour with a quickly receding head on top. Nose of sweet peaches and dried grains. Soured flavors are centered on peach, lactic acid, wheat, floral notes and citrus. Tart and effervescent. Mouthfeel is about on par with what I expected.
3.7 On tap at Perennial, pours a hazy yellow with a thin head, the aroma smells like one of those sour peach ring candys, good amount of peach and a tad bit of funk too, the flavor has a peach and fruit front end with a slight tartness in the finish, easy drinking.
3.7 Bottle shared by Josh at my house. Snifter pours were light orange, hazy, with a decent fluffy head. Peach and barrel aroma with sweet tart overtones. The taste was peach, mango, sprite, and souring agents. Nice balance, carbonation, and texture. Very good.

Light-bodied with flavors of sweet peaches, mildly funky yeast and spice. The finish is mildly tart with a spiced peach aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.5 Some peach, and sourness is fairly mild on this Berliner. Yeast, with a dose of citrus. Pours a hazy pale peach juice color. Low carbonation. Tart finish. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.
3.1 Draught at the Churchkey, Washington, DC. Hazy yellow colour with a tiny white head. Oregano, lemongrass, malt... What? Where's the peaches? The flavour is mild sourness, oregano, mild tartness and some malt. Strange brew. Liquid pizza.
3.0 10oz pour at Pizza Paradiso Georgetown pours a murky, milky almost, light orange with zero head. Nose has straight white peach, more on the unripened end, juicy a bit too, a little bit of lemon rind notes, but mostly just peachy. Flavor follows along, juicier than the nose let on, tart, peach, some unripened nectarine too, apricot, some mild lemon. Thin, oily finish.
3.9 4 oz draft pour at B Side into a wine glass. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of funky notes, floral notes, hay, light peaches. Tastes of tart fruit, vinegar and acidic notes, peaches and stone fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Tasty.

3.8 Tap @ Toronado Seattle... Poured hazy, pale, straw with a moderate head. Nice peach, pie, tangy aroma. Lightly tart with fresh peach flesh notes and light wheat flavors towards the end. A nice balance of tartness and wheat presence with a peach flavor that doesn’t hold back.

3.5 Draft at sb. Pours Pours a cloudy pale yellow with no head or lace. Mild tangy sweet citric tart nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Bright tart mid palate but not sharp or overdone. Crisp light finish.
3.4 Draft at the Watershed. My first from Perennial. I have to admit these guys weren’t even on my radar, beyond some vague notion that people spent a lot of time worrying about Abraxas over on the trade forum. Pretty decent Berlinerweisse, drinkable, tart, less vomit than one gets in the real thing but spot on to the American interpretation, peaches of course, a bit prickly on the tongue, perfectly nice for a low ABV summer fruit beer.
3.6 Draft at Mikkeller Bar. Hazy yellowish with a small white head. Tart peachy aroma with wet hay notes. Nice mildly tart peachy flavor with a touch of salt. Light on the palate with a crisp mouthfeel. Really enjoyable!
