3.8Pours a clear light copper with a whiteish foam. Nose has surprisingly lambic similarities. So bretty and wonderful. The taste is lighter and less sour than the nose suggests but it’s all very ballanced and nice. Like Orval but lighter, less fruity yeast, more bretty and dry. Very fun beer.
3.4Bottle. Gushed a bit. Looks like Orval with a large off white head with good retention and a light hazy almond brown colour. Smells like Orval too, though more fruity. Barnyard, leather, gooseberries, light sourness. Mild flavour with barnyard, dust, hay, wood, leather and dark berries. Light body with lively carbonation, little sweetness, some bitterness, watery texture. Bretty finish. Diluted Orval.
3.7Bière sympathique mais qui manque de finesse sur la fin . Bulle fine mais mousse non persistante. Sympa à tester mais pas à plébisciter !
4.017/IX/16 - on draught @ l’Ange Guardien (Orval, Florenville) - BB: n/a (2016-1018)
Little hazy amber beer, creamy solid off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, some citrus, floral. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter hoppy start, fruity, notes, citrus, some grapefruit, slightly sour. Aftertaste: hoppy, bitter, soapy touch, some malts, bit of grapefruit. Nice one! Glad I finally got to try my last Belgian Trappist beer! :-)
3.9Pours a hazy golden brown on tap with fluffy off-white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of green hoppiness and mild Belgian esters. Taste follows with a malty backbone, hops are way more present than expected. Really nice.
3.4Draft at ’A l’Ange Gardien. More bitter, hoppy, less thick, maybe even drier than the original. Decent but give me a regular one any day over this one.
3.825cl glas.

Aroma orange, fruity, yeast.
Taste fresh bitter, some sour and sweets.
Mouthfeel creamy.
Great brew.
3.9On draft at l'Ange Gardien. Amber color, white head. Cirtus aroma, grapefruit, subtle but bitter. Lovely. Slight bitter, sweet, light finish, fades quite rapidly. The character of the regular Orval is still but present but much more subtle.
3.5Glass at a l’ange gardien. Hazy orange beer medium head. Aroma is yeast, nutty. Taste is the same some hops. Not bad but prefer the "normal" one.
3.7Bottle. Pours hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Notes of pale fruits, yeast, floral, light hoppy.
3.9330 ml unlabelled bottle at Mikkeller Bar, Aarhus. Brown color, large white head. Aroma and flavour very much like the ordinary Orval, with "farmhouse" and "spicy" notes, distinct hops. It is quite impressive that so much flavour can be put into a beer of this moderate ABV.
4.2Tap @ l’ange gardien. Amazing aroma, very herbal, grassy, light brett, peach marmelade, cereal and yeast. Taste is fruity with very bitter finish. Amazing beer, reminded me of a hoppy barrel aged beer, very light sourness and very hoppy.
1.7From trade with BenBreeg. In Teku glass. Playing Tomb Raider 2015. Lots of foam although not gushing. Very acid in nose. Less acid in mouth but still not a thing I can enjoy. Wont miss they dont bottle it anymore

4.6Finally made the pilgrimage and so my opinion is very much coloured. But this is absolutely awesome. So much flavour at this abv, and hugely hoppy! Fresh, vibrant yet already with great fermentation qualities. I adore it. (On tap at l’Ange Gardien)
3.5Bottle at Hoarders Society Meeting Odense. Brett, light hoppy, pepper notes, spices. Decent.
3.4Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a White head. Aroma Brett, hoppy, fruity, funky, light sweet notes. Taste is bretty, light marzipan notes, fruity, funky. Quite thin.
3.4From bottle @ Hoarders Society Meeting Odense. Pours murky amber with a white head. Aroma of light funk, citrus, very light floral. Taste is watery, thin body, light caramel, very light funk, light peppery. Well, I’m glad I had the chance to taste this, but the regular Orval is miles beyond this one.
3.6Orvals petits, altid været en sucker for the underdog! Potentielt grundet min egen højde.
Kryderi, Brett, humle, lidt altervin - hovedingredienserne i en munks kostplan.
3.8Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich brett, fruits, flowers, grass and malt. Nice light sour finish. Lovely.

4.1Clear sparkling golden body with a small white head. Watery and thin mouth, light to medium bodied.
3.633 cl bottle.
Pours hazy orange color with a large white head. Very interesting aroma here, herbal, urinal cake, rowan berries, apricot, some earthy funkyness, yeast and grass. Flavor is somewhat fruity, some apricot and rowan berries again, yeasty and grassy. The aroma is quite interesting in a good way, slightly bland flavor though, as expected.

3.2330 ml bottle. Pours an amber orange colour with a white foamy head. Aroma is rather interesting; brett, juicy fruitiness, orange pith and pear drops. Flavour of grassy bitterness, dried fruits, yeast and a bit of citrus. Light bodied with high carbonation. Sharp and thin finish. A bit foamy mouthfeel. Thin.
3.1330ml bottle
Pours dark orange with a massive foamy head. Aroma of urinal cake, tartish pear, bretta, yeast and stuffy notes. Taste is tartish, smooth and funky with mild hints of bretta, pear and stuffy notes. Finish is carbonated, stuffy and yeasty with hints of pear. A bit thin.
