2.7F: huge, egg-white, good retention.
C: deep gold, clear.
A: malty, grassy, floral, bit of caramel, bready.
T: malty, grassy, strangely sweet, bready, nutty, not very good, medium body, medium carbonation, more than pale lager or pilsener like top-fermented BA, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.
3.7From old tasting notes. Amber orange color. Bubbly white head. Dry, spicy malt nose. Flavor follows nose with hints of earthy fruitiness.
2.733cl bottle shared at home. Clear golden with a medium white soapy head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Subtle bitter and sweet tones. Malts, citrus, caramel and dark fruits. Mediocre.
2.8Kolor: bursztynowy, delikatnie zamlony.
Aromat delikatny, słodowy z nuta owocową i minimalną goryczką.
3.0Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel in Belgium. The beer is amber colored and has a small white head, with nice carbonation.
The aroma is malty and fruity, with notes of caramel, dark fruits, spices and yeast.
The taste is light to medium bodied and sweet with notes of caramel and malts, also notes of fruits.
The finish is light bitter with spices and yeast and is a little dry and watery.
Oke beer, but nothing special.
2.8Robe ambrée, mousse moyennement abondante. Nez fruitée et épicé, légère note maltée. Bouche à l’attaque amère, assez courte, bulle peu présente et finale qui s’écrase. Bière sans intérêt.
2.6Clear amber colour. Aroma is ale and fruit. Taste is sweet with resemblance to ginger ale mouthfeel. And some lemon. Not much bitterness. Aftertaste is dry. Nice light drinking.
2.4$4 single and totally not worth half that. Unassuming Belgian amber ale. Rather boring, actually. Light spice from the yeast, toffee and malt. Thin and overcarbonated.
God fylde.
3.1Shared bottle at RB/HD at Fjøløy 03.09.16. Orange. Dense and even white head and lacing. Malt, marmalade and meadows in aroma and taste.
3.3Pours clear dark golden with a small white head. Aroma of ripe yellow fruits, marmelade and plums. Taste is smooth sugary fruits, long sugary finish.
Shared bottle at local tasting, ØL øy, saturday 3.session..
3.15.5%ABV. Belgian ale.
Poured out deep gold to amber. 11ºSRM .
Nose has a more aggressive and more pronounced azuki or sweet red bean paste aroma.
Mouthfeel is light syrup. Palate has some light toasty flavors with light caramel, lightly browned sugar of sticky buns. Palate is a little rounded with very very light sour and beery flavors. Some depth to the overall body. Hops are nicely balanced at the end, but still a little clunky for me.
Finish is beery and "commercial"
2.8Keg at The Le Val de Trie Bar, Bouillancourt, Picardy, France. Amber with white head. Sweet, caramel beer, thin, carbonated, toffee. Nothing really special about this one.
3.1Bottle at home. Orange-amber with a thin head. Aroma of caramel malt. Sweet on the tongue with a hint of bitter balance. Fruity with caramel maltiness. Quite well carbonated but still soft, mellow and easy-drinking.
3.3For a beer thats called speciale, i think it is very simple. The beer is almost similar to palm speciale. The color of the beer is amber. The foam is rather rough and fast disappearing. The smell of the beer is nice. The aromas are sweet and fruity. There are also some hops in the smell. The taste is almost the same as the smell: fruity and fresh, but a little simple.
3.2Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling brown-orange clear beer ; medium white head with a good retention. Herb, caramel, nut, roast. Light to medium dry bitter refreshing ; light sweet. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, roasty herbal finish. Overall, a pleasant hoppy light ale ; refreshing.
2.6330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.
Clear amber colour with no yeast sediments; Three quarter finger head and off-white foam which last for 1 minute; Very good sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation; Aroma of Ale malt, with faint red fruits, corn, plastic bag, light floral, sugar, light yeast and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of light Ale malt, with metallic, light tartness, light caramel, shades of red fruits, moderate molasses, biscuits, very light lemon, thin bitter hops and low grass; Close to light body. Thin but quite slick palate; Mouth feel is fairly light maltyness in a watery background. Pretty bare bone with not much tastes except some faint red fruits, caramel and molasses. Biscuity and quite yeasty. Light lemon to round. Simple and fairly okay… Hoppiness is faint grass in nose. Light lemon and light grass in taste. Bitterness is barely moderate for an abrupt, low astringent caramel finish; Quite dry after taste. Light fruity and slightly bitter to mouth.
Comments: Like Palm Speciale, this is another basic and simple Belgian Ale. Its bare minimum red fruits and caramel malt do the jobs quite well with restrained sweetness. Barring the annoying plastic aroma and empty taste. This is easily drinkable without much demand. Once is enough.
3.0Aromat delikatny, owocowy. W smaku podobnie owocowo, lekko wytrawnie.
Nic specjalnego.
3.50.33l bottle. Amber body, white head. Aroma of grains, toast, bread and some floral hops. Taste of bread, grains, toast, nuts and floral hops. Quite simple but decent beer. I like it.
2.9Bottle 33cl. @local Lidl supermarket. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear deep amber, tall frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing; restrained aroma aroma is malty, bread, apricot, peach, sourish hint; kinda neutral taste is light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, of average duration, mild sweetbitter finish, bit peppery, chalky, finally light lingering fruitiness; light body, watery texture, soft carbonation; rather undistinct only the appearance is a pro.
2.8Aroma: bread, caramel, floral, dough, fruity
Appearance: amber, hazy, white foam, rocky head
Taste: lightly bitter, lightly sour, malty
Palate: light to medium body, thin feel, average carbonation
2.9Hazy golden amber with a small white head and modest lace. Aromas of malt and fruitiness - peaches and apple come to mind. Fruity sweetness with metallic notes and some caramel maltiness. Light body, nicely carbonated, prickly mouthfeel and a slightly tart finish.
2.5330 ml bottle. Appearance: A deep orange copper body with a one finger white head, Head has an average retention and leaves light lacing around the glass. Aroma: malts, yeast, some fruits like apricots and peach. Not too strong. Taste: Is a weak Sweet/sour, quite metallic and just some caramelized malts. Slighty bitter aftertaste, Thin on the body, average carbonation.
A bit of dissapointed and one of the worst Petrus beers.(Backlog rating)
2.6Kolor: bursztynowy, klarowny.
Wysycenie wysokie, troch? przeszkadza.
2.8Aroma:
Belgian yeast, malts, fruit.
Appearance:
Clear amber beer with a small white head.
Taste/Palate:
Sweet and spicy, fruity and slightly bitter.
2.1Pours a hazy gold with a huge amount of floaties. Head of foam and lacing are admirable.
The smell is of sweet grain and caramel. ..bordering on a vegetal smell.
The taste is overly grainy, overly sweet, and has an annoying vegetal taste. To be fair, this was bottled the 15 1st day of 2014. Maybe this would be good fresh?
