3.6 Bomber - black pour with a dark tan lace - nose is heavy on vanilla and coffee, but also carries notes of raisin, anise, chocolate, light smoke - actually smells quite nice - moderate carbonation - smoke, roast - sweet vanilla is pretty prominent, followed by strong, somewhat overly astringent and acidic coffee - chocolate, cherry skins - the finish is a bit too acidic/astringent - more good than bad.
3.6 Aroma is mostly vanilla. Some black coffee. Flavor is all vanilla with a coffee finish. Too much vanilla for me. Pours black wih a tan head
3.9 Pours black with low tanned head Aromas of coffee, chocolate, nougats, brown sugar Taste has notes of coffee, milk chocolate, brown sugar , dark fruits
3.9 Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, mild cedar wood. Taste is lightly sweet with a cedar wood, dry finish. Rich and smooth body with soft carbonation.

3.6 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong dry bitter coffee notes with some roasted malt is dominant. Taste is also dominated by strong dry coffee notes that also veered into astringency territory. Some black chocolate notes are also perceptible. Body is about average with nice level of carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but coffee notes are almost too powerful for the overall balance of this beer.
4.0 Bottleshare. Pours black with limited head and no lacing. Nose/Flavour espresso, vanilla, dark chocolate. Taste is big bitter big sweet. Mouth medium body with lively carbonation. Nice beer!
4.2 Thanks Justin for this gift from Chicago. Pours a smooth black with dark head. Aromas are predominately dark roast coffee with notes of bitter chocolate. Flavours follow suit. Lots of coffee, some lactose and chocolate. Not getting a lot of vanilla with this though. Very nice imperial stout.
3.8 A deep dark imperial stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of coffee grind, light vanilla, light chili powder, bitter chocolate, interesting. In mouth, an intense bitter chocolate with coffee grind, Oyster pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Binny’s in Chicago.
3.4 Dark black pour with no head. Slight smokey nose with a hint of coffee. Sweet malty beer. Just a hint of coffee in the finish. Ok.
3.9 Bottle: Deep brown, nearly black color with a toasted beige head, slightly frothy, creamy, & quick to recede. Aroma of French pressed, French roast coffee. Very rich, deep, dark, & semi-bitter. A touch of dark malt sweetness balances the huge roasted aromas, but also adds another element of char in the periphery. Body on this one is super creamy, velvety, chewy, & silky... Wow, excellent mouth feel. Huge coffee flavor up front. Good mix of "bitter-roast" & "creamy-sweet". A touch of booze, licorice, dark cacao bean, & plum hangs around the outside, but roasted coffee beans are certainly the star of the show. Really nice coffee beer.
4.2 Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is roasty, coffee, some booze, bready. Appearance is black, brown head, poured light. Taste is roasty, some chocolate, lots of coffee, some booze. Mouthfeel is great, oily, creamy, lots of coffee aftertaste, malty, nice. Overall, a real nice coffee stout.
4.0 22 oz bomber. The pour is a dark dark brown with a thin tan collar of head and no lace. The area is pretty big on coffee. There is a great licorice on the nose backed up by a little booziness. The malts balance out well, and this is just a good smelling offering. The flavor is decent. There is a lot of chocolate malts up front, rolling through a good licorice and into a great coffee induced aftertaste. This is smooth and rich. The mouth feel is a little light, but the soft carbonation helps it come across a really creamy. I like how the booze is well hidden and you don't get the same level as in the nose. Well done, but could be a little thicker
4.0 Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a tiny medium brown head. Aroma is a delicious roasted malts, light cocoa, coffee, vanilla. Flavor is light roasted malts, touch of vanilla, coffee. Very smooth and creamy body, delicious lingering roasted malts and vanilla. Excellent stout!
3.6 Bottle. Pours clear dark black with a small, film head. Aroma has fat malts, Port, raisins, chocolate. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, light coffee, vinious, elegant balance. Nice.
2.8 22oz bottle to bertha snifter. Cola like pour. Super fizzy. No retention. More sweet and fruity than coffee. Bad bottle? Past it’s prime? Something isn’t right.
3.9 Bottle at the "Dean is a cheap bastard tasting cos he let Rene buy a beer from the shop and then asked to taste it for the tick" tasting. Pours a pitch black beer with a small ring of tanned head on top. Aroma of loads of coffee, light caramel and some booze detected. Flavor has loads and loads of coffee, caramel, molasses and has a quite bitter aftertaste. Nicely balanced, very decent.
3.7 650 ml bottle bought from Olbutikken, shared at home. Black color with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, coffee, instant cold coffee, light herbal. Taste is light sweet and bitter, same as the aroma, roasted malt and coffee. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonation.
4.0 Bottle. Color dark brown with small head. Aroma roasted, malt, caramel, coffee, caramel. Taste sweet, malt, coffee, caramel, vanilla.
4.0 Bottle from trade. Medium heavy body, dark. Coffee and rich chocolate nose. Sweeter, but with roast bitterness. Coffee is mild and not bittering.
